Its better soft, or else it because too hard to bite na. If you will make stocks please freeze and defrost at room temperature (it will naturally be soft) before serving
I used sea salt, however u can also use iodized salt (a: this is the most commonly used in most households), or any kinds of salt u have at home- but not rock salt
