Two words "plenty of Torque" ruclips.net/user/postUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv well I guess that's three. Nice upgrade from current setup. Has belt clips, I don't think I will be using those. Driver and drill were bigger than what I expected but it is an upgrade from the current setup. For the money I would say that this is a great setup for Professionals and DIY/Weekend warriors.
I think the power detect only triggers with 8 ah. I could be wrong tho. Not trying to be a fanboy lol. I just remember watching a video comparing the flex volt and power detect
Very true, but I'm still using a 6ah from Milwaukee so it will not be fair if I use an 8ah. A Milwaukee 12ah HO battery will also wake up the Milwaukee. So never ending battle.
@@toolhead147 nah bro… there is no gain in power. A high output battery is a high output battery. Changing to a higher amp hr just increases the battery life. So there is no power increase bet a 6ah and 12ah. They use the same 21700 cells. Amp hrs are a little confusing but they’re different from standard amperage…. “amps are a unit of electrical current; amp-hours are units of current storage capacity.”
I own both and to be honest both are really great tools. If I had to pick one it would be the Miulwakee the feel of it is better to me it's sturdy no problems so far. The DeWalt goes bananas in hammer mode but feels less sturdy. The Miulwakee is good in hammer mode but lack's a little compared to DeWalt. The little things like the gears sticking and trigger slop DeWalt needs to tighten up some tolerances.
@@toolhead147 My man just uploaded this one and people asking for the Flex. Just know how much we appreciate your work, man. These videos take time out of your day. Do you have the Flex stacked lithium batteries?
Does the Milwaukee make a high pitch noise when using compared to the dewalt or 1st gen Milwaukee drill. I tried one at the depot, but may have been defective. It was so loud would have to wear hearing protection almost.
@@toolhead147 Milwaukee has a 8amp battery too ,but the whole purpose of the power detect is it gets ot most power from the 8amp battery otherwise it's just a 996 drill it's has special circuitry that detects something in the 8amp battery
So the the DeWalt barely loses with their normal battery vs the xc high output. He said the DeWalt battery was comparable at the beginning. So I'd say the DeWalt is probably better with their fancy battery.

@OutdoorsWonder well new models to new models for sure. I'm hoping they come out with a new killer high torque impact tool. Dewalts new one is crazy af. Come on milwaukee make a new one lol.
@@OutdoorsWonder Milwaukee circ saws are horrible, that's why I went Dewalt and the Flexvolt demolishes every other brand .Milwaukee still flogging that 18 volt system that overheats and shuts down on demanding tasks .
If Milwaukee was yellow and black I would buy it!
Thank You for the video!
👍🏻👍🏻

Hey buddy, like Patrick said, you need the 8 ah for the the Power Detect to be activated. Otherwise, good job!
Good video! Like those Mechanix gloves.
I think the power detect only triggers with 8 ah. I could be wrong tho. Not trying to be a fanboy lol. I just remember watching a video comparing the flex volt and power detect
You are not wrong. Using the power detect with a 6 ah battery equals the 996.
You are correct. Power Detect is Lowes version of Flexvolt. The 8 ah is equal to the Flexvolt battery and only triggered when that battery is used.
Very true, but I'm still using a 6ah from Milwaukee so it will not be fair if I use an 8ah. A Milwaukee 12ah HO battery will also wake up the Milwaukee. So never ending battle.
No one sane will use such a large battery with this kind of tool

Milwaukee has a much better warranty too and alot more power
You should do the Gen 4 vs The Dewalt DCD999 Flexvolt advantage 42% more power 🔋 💪 😉
Power detect is stronger than flexvolt advantage he needed to use a 27000 cell battery on the dewalt like a 6.0 +
thank you for the video. would you do the Flex vs gen4. thanks again for making these videos.
It's coming still need to record some more

@@MadLadsAnonymous I don't have the new battery
The DeWalt is drilling into a knot in that piece of wood
Well done, that's great 👍
I love Milwaukee
U definitely should've used the 8ah for the power detect.
Not fair to use the 8 on dewalt and Milwaukee 6 maybe if I had bigger batteries it would work
@@toolhead147 the 8 was tailor made for the power detect. All in all good video & the dewalt still held its own against the gen 4 milwaukee
@Toolhead 147 wouldn't matter milwaukee would still beat it lol

you had it in hammer drill mode. Any of those drills get pretty loud when they are in hammer drill mode.
The gen 4 is very loud
You’re doing a great job bro!
Thank you
Helpful - thank you!
Prácticamente estás comparándolo con un 996 el 998 funciona soolo con unas batería de 8AH....
8 amp battery activates more power for the power detect that is why it is called power detect
Your right but it would not be fair to use a 8ah and 6ah in a versus video.

2904-excelente
What's nice about the milwaukee is it almost seems like a compact drill.
With the best battery of dwalt the drill goes more faster ur using a normal battery not a flex volt
Medalha de ouro para Dewalt, pois furou concreto com mais facilidade!
Why Milwaukee is 4 generation with the new model battery and DeWalt is 998 instead of 999 and is not with 5Ah Power stuck battery is fany test😂😂😂😂
He said the LED light has a 20 minute delay😂

Dewalt лучше Milwaukee по мощности .! По надежности не знаю . Имею и тот , итот бренд .
Or not dcd998
Milwaukee will always win because the low voltage win increase the amperage and more torque
And dewalt wins again as usual
Lol right? They lose alot to milwaukee hey
dewalt fanboys are delusional always, milwaukee will always out perform dewalt
