I'm seriously thinking about buying one of these for my first truck and going OTR with it. I love them and they're super easy to work on. And you can find them dirt cheap since nobody seems to want them anymore.
I just bought a 1994 same truck 11.1 I bought to haul straw... If you have any hills at all its scary... Will not get to 10th gear even on flat ground with a 10 speed tranny when loaded heavy 70k Gotta stay going 54 in 9th gear
Im looking at 2 97, I gotta flight to buy and drive it. Kinda like a gamble taking the dealership’s word on whichever I go with. One is in New Florence, Mo and the other one is at Defiance, OH 🥴
Glad to see your video I'm going Monday to check one of these units out it's a 91 model
Cool!
Make a video of it, people want to see these Volvos!

You’re right. If you’re mechanically inclined I’d say go for it! Just be sure you know where to get parts from then you’re golden.
I bought my 1989 out of Ohio. I get a lot of hate because of its age, however, it’ll start every single time and several mechanics love it!
Mine will do the same! These trucks are golden!
I just bought a 94 Volvo WIA with a 60 series last month. I got some work done on it and just did my first load 2 days ago.
That’s awesome.
I’m getting some work done on my trailer now so I can start hauling

@@drakewalker8047 I've got a 12.1 with a 9 speed. Try using the cruise control, if it works. Mine maintains 65 mph with the cc
@@drakewalker8047 woowww. I won’t ever be that heavy! You might need to swap the transmission and differential, but I’m no mechanic
“It has spider webs on it but it’s all good” looks like I see captain America truck that’s crazy my work truck is from Tennessee!
Used to be a Watkins motor line truck
I have a 1995 International and it runs great for holding Containers..
Yes those internationals run strong!
💪🏽 i just bout myself a 95 WIA too
That’s cool! I’ve heard nothing but good things about these trucks!
And it's a super 10....even more awesome. You don't see many of those.
No you don’t, I actually had to learn to drive it when I bought it lol
@@daleteslaev The company I use to work for had me pick one up from Ryder and had to learn to drive it on the parking lot.
@@claytonbrown7100 😆😆
We both got a small training session right before we hit the interstate lol
Cool truck. You going to keep it a toter, or convert it back to a tractor? I have a 90 wia. Good luck with it, mines been good to me.
I just need a few more parts then she’ll be done. I converted it already. It’s on my recent video!

97 is a good one. Hopefully you have a tilt steering wheel. Mine doesn’t have one. Just make sure you check it out thoroughly. 👍
Most definitely!
nice rig man, spend a lil bread on a comfy driver seat and you're ready to earn some money
Stretch it make a twin axle then u got a old but cool truck !👍👍👍👍👍
I’m thinking about it!

Does it have headlights from a volvo 240?
The headlights itself was original. I just switched out the bulbs for LEDs.

It depends on what you’re hauling
