But she definitely did not explain herself well. She’s all over the place. And keeps saying the word “honestly” over and over. She just explaining a snippet of a fraction of all the ways this conservatorship was inhumane and too torturous and abusive of her rights as a normal human being. She’s also nervous to speak publicly about this. Anyone would sound a little shaky being that she’s doing exactly what “they” told her not do, “or else”. We can only hope the judge sees it this way.

She's nervous af, and this is what survivors sound like when they are speaking out for the first time. The fact that she's repeatedly saying the same thing over and over, shows she is desperate to make her point clear and she's staying consistent with her side of things. I'm live with Complex PTSD, and you get really good at noticing other victims. I pray for her freedom and I am so proud of her. The problem is that although disgusting, all of this abuse is technically legal. The court approves every money expenditure, medical care, and action done by daddy and his lawyers. I’m a doctor and I have a few mental illnesses, I am medicated and it doesn’t effect my job at all! I am a very good doctor I’ve been told by my head of medicine that I am one of his top ER doctors. You are so right! She doesn’t need to be under control. As a doctor myself I cannot understand how she was given all this medication and told she has dementia. She clearly does not. Dementia is progressive and she’s been diagnosed for well over 10 years it would be very apparent by now if she did have it. She performs perfectly, she speaks eloquently, and she cooks meals for herself very well.

Sometimes I cry. Sometimes I disassociate completely and feel nothing. Trying to project a specific box for what trauma should be for someone you don’t know is just not realistic. Also, she has to know that if she comes across too emotional and hysterical, that judge will side with her dad. Her life literally depends on her trying to sound as straightforward and no bullshit as possible.

My ex fiancé has bipolar type 1 and it was a similar situation. He would be manic, blow ALL of his money, make poor/reckless decisions, abuse drugs/alcohol, and was not in reality. When he went low he regretted everything and it’s a vicious cycle. I feel like she’s being protected but obviously when you’re manic you become so elevated and powerful and fearless. It’s a difficult place to be in, I was in that place. As the caretaker, either way you lose. (Regardless of being an adult) Either you’re trying to protect and you’re viewed as too controlling or you just turn a blind eye and they end up dead or hurt. Either way you lose. I see it as, if you have cancer you don’t just “do nothing” and go about your day. typically, you would get treatment and are taken care of. Unfortunately with bipolar it’s a lifelong thing. There is no remission. It’s a constant battle and it’s not easy. And when you’re manic you black out a lot of the time and don’t even remember what you’re doing. It’s an insidious disorder.

The problem is that although disgusting, all of this abuse is technically legal. The court approves every money expenditure, medical care, and action done by daddy and his lawyers. Dementia is progressive and she’s been diagnosed for well over 10 years it would be very apparent by now if she did have it. Sometimes I cry. Sometimes I disassociate completely and feel nothing. Trying to project a specific box for what trauma should be for someone you don’t know is just not realistic.

My ex fiancé has bipolar type 1 and it was a similar situation. He would be manic, blow ALL of his money, make poor/reckless decisions, abuse drugs/alcohol, and was not in reality. When he went low he regretted everything and it’s a vicious cycle. I feel like she’s being protected but obviously when you’re manic you become so elevated and powerful and fearless. People that are bipolar manic are sooooo talented, they are charming and manipulating- they have a way with people that is other worldly. But, I suppose the family should just give up and let her harm herself and potentially others. I just think they wouldn’t be able to live with themselves if something tragic happened to her. It’s a difficult place to be in, I was in that place. As the caretaker, either way you lose. (Regardless of being an adult) Either you’re trying to protect and you’re viewed as too controlling or you just turn a blind eye and they end up dead or hurt. Either way you lose. I see it as, if you have cancer you don’t just “do nothing” and go about your day. typically, you would get treatment and are taken care of. Unfortunately with bipolar it’s a lifelong thing. There is no remission. It’s a constant battle and it’s not easy. And when you’re manic you black out a lot of the time and don’t even remember what you’re doing. It’s an insidious disorder.
