Your explanation is excellent. Thank you for explaining the rules to an "old" game. I love your use of a script. So many rules explanation videos appear to be extemporaneous and wandering. Yours are clear and well-thought. Well done!
As others have said - best how to play-video for this game 🙏 I have both editions but can’t decide which one to open for Friday nights game 😅 Which rule set do you prefer, having played the game?
Played this for the first time tonight. This game is fantastic! I can't believe people don't talk about it more. I think I might even prefer the original rules. It was interesting how the scouts had to move backwards depending on how efficient you were. Did they make the change to prevent people from going backwards and then loading up on resources without penalty?
I'm not sure the reason for the change, as it's effectively kind of the same thing. Maybe they thought it was simpler to teach the new way, or perhaps they got feedback that people didn't like moving backwards from the goal...?
Incorrect rule at @7:48 --- You can only use *one* face-down card to power the ability of the face-up character card you're using. You can add Indian meeples to the face-down card to increase its action boost (to a maximum of 3), or just use Indian meeples (1 to 3) to power the face-up card, but you can never use more than one face-down card and never have more than a 3-Indian powering of the face-up card.
Hi, thank you for this video! Just so you know that you are wrong about the optional actions not being next to each other... they can be. Check the BGG forum... Again, this was a great tutorial, Thanks

Both are great. I think for new players the new ruleset is slightly easier to understand.
If I'm playing a card to get boats (for example), do I also collect the resources of the type shown on the card I'm activating?
Well done!
Why thank you!

Thanks for the clarification there! And power 3 is the max, yes.
Thank you. 💯
You're welcome!

Thanks for sharing!
The link to the upgrade kit is not working.
Thank you!
You're welcome!
For the record, "Native American" is an outdated term and they overwhelmingly prefer to be called "American Indians.".
