I've always been intrigued just by the look of the game itself but I wasnt aware it had such a nice blend of mechanics. Plus, if the second edition includes the 'murderous tendencies' disclaimer, it would be tempting to invite my inlaws over for a game or 2.
@@BoardGameBollocks yes; you gather mountains and rivers with dice to gain exploration cards, and various Indian tribes for special abilities. Routes, various flora/fauna, and wigwam symbols on cards amount to victory points... no struggling up and down the river. BGG has videos on it. Dice placement rather than meeples.
Looks like the ads were being set automatically at what RUclips calls natural points in the video...I wouldn’t call every 4 mins natural. Dumped it out.
@@BoardGameBollocks well tbh I am working on a Hybrid game myself (which will never see the lights out of my own shelves), I might consider getting this game (1st or 2nd, whichever I can get cheaper) to study it, thanks for the review.
@@BoardGameBollocks By your accent, I can say we are not living far (I am in Luton right now), I might invite you over for a playtest IF I will ever get at that stage too :D

🤣
Great video...
I just got the “Discoveries” dice L&C game and it looks good too!
Is it markedly different from the Boardgame?

@@BoardGameBollocks feel free to drop by Texas (on your way to the store or whatever)... we can grab some tacos and try it out.
Your pal,
Steve😎
If I’m ever in the states I’ll drop by...don’t think they allow people in who have criminal records though 😮
@@BoardGameBollocks we elect geezers like that 😉
you would make such a great marvel villain
It’s a shame Marvel sucks these day innit 🤷
Loved the video. But there were 4 ads! I’ve always been interested in this game. I need to try it on BGA. Hopefully it won’t notice murder with me.
4 seems excessive. I just flipped the switch. Is there a setting that allows one to limit the amount of ads per video?
BoardGames4K not sure about that. But I other RUclips’s speak about it. Just a thought. I enjoy these Still Worth It videos.
I’ll dig into the RUclips studio desktop app as there’s nothing on the mobile version. Thanks for letting me know 👍🏻

@@BoardGameBollocks You just get cooler and cooler the more I watch.
History theme....my kinda game.
Might find this one on the cheap seeing as 2nd ed is out.
This game is excellent!
The second edition is mutch better, you don't go back on the river :)
you must really like this game, mate... Never seen you so excited about buying a second edition!
I love kicking’ it Old Skool mate...who needs new stuff, eh?

Send me the PNP files if you want someone to playtest.

This video is hard to watch with all those sliding images.
Don’t watch it then…not hard is it
@@BoardGameBollocks Oh, you're this sort of guy. Wow. I wasn't being mean but what a *** you are.
