Video: Did they find a real living megalodon in the Mariana Trench Me: Wow, wanna find out if they did or not Video: we don't know, do you believe in megalodon existence?
Yes honestly I didn’t even know what a Megalodon was until once my friend wanted to like research on it for a school thing and I realized it was a gigantic version of a shark...
Part of me wants this shark to exist but I'd never step foot in the ocean ever again if it was discovered to be still alive, because I can't think of anything more terrifying than this lurking below your feet in the darkness. The ocean is so vast and undiscovered, though, so who knows what's down there.

Also, the reason most sharks don't dive deep, is because the pressure would collapse their organs and their insides would literally crumble. Megalodons lived in warm waters because they would freeze in cold waters. It is *very* cold in the Mariana Trench. This was the natural selection, and this means that if Megalodon were to still exist, it wouldn't have evolved into a creature that lives in the deep.
I don’t doubt it. We’ve discovered only 5% of the ocean. There’s still that remaining 95% left. For all we know, there could be an underwater city with some kind of civilization lol
This is too doubtful to be true. Megalodon had a very high metabolism and preferred and gave birth in warm coastal waters, where it hunted whales and other marine mammals. No mammal or even giant squid was ever found as deep as the trench. All there is are only just small sealife like snailfish and amphipods, not enough to support even 10 meter megs. Given that, it is almost certainly impossible that it would be still alive today. I feel sorry for the people who got rickrolled.
While Your Statement Is Very True & Accurate And I Don't Really Think Or Believe megalodon's Would Go In The Mariana Trench To Survive & Return Back in present This Is Due To: Extreme Preasure Would Crush It If Very Deep Enough Lack Of Whales in that (Its Major Food Source) Mariana Trench Doesnt Have Greater Or larger Food Living In It No Light in it, (Duh) Only Underwater Volcano's As The Light Source & They All Already Died From Cold Climate Before They Get To Travel To Mariana Trench
Given the fact that only 5% of the ocean has been studied/searched... I wouldn’t be surprised if majority of ‘extinct’ animals are still alive .. and imagine the amount of creatures and sharks etc that haven’t even been discovered yet ...
@@elliuse5082 it's the deepest so far, not forever, 70% of earth is water, and only 5% of it has been discovered, there is no doubt that something much deeper is actually exist.
@@CFVkayvan Yeah that's true but there's that chance that they could have adapted. And there could be one living somewhere just somewhere the ocean that's warmer and where virtually no people go.But i guess only time will tell i won't rule out the chance that there could still be one out there but i'm also not going too say that there is one out there it's just impossible too decide.
Gavin freeman Vlogs Just because 5% of the ocean deep was explored doesn’t mean the megalodon is alive. Study has shown that a tsunami of cosmic energy from supernova has wiped out ocean animals including the megalodon. If an animal that is the size of a megalodon then we would have known. Plus other animals has fought the megalodon before which made it extinct, and the megalodon need ton of food to survive and it only gone extinct because of climate change as well. So there is no possible way that the megalodon still exist.
The ocean is a really scary place, some people don't know it though. Imagine being in the middle of an ocean all by yourself, many unknown creatures, your only luck is a search party or a speeding airplane, water all around you that you can't even drink. Imagine.
I’ve been studying megladons for 5 years now and I’m only 10 and I’ve found something like a pattern in all my research, it’s that people tend to look at the megladon as a huge killing machine but way I like to think of them as is a sea creature who feeds on other creatures to survive but to go from such a massive diet to just a few things a day would make the megladon almost as small as the white shark 🦈. And also it’s not possible to predict what lies beneath our ocean surface giving we haven’t even discovered a quarter for all we can tell there could be a shark 20x the size of the megladon.
Remember guys, we only have discovered 5% about the ocean n the ocean's creatures. There's 95% of them that we don't know n it's becoming more and more scary...
to say you’ve only found 10% of something implies you know what the full 100% is. so how is it possible to know how much percent you know about something you don’t know?
I can’t tell if this is a joke so don’t r/woosh me, but there is literally no possible chance that it “haunts” the Bermuda Triangle, plenty of planes and ships pass through it without issue today. I think I saw somewhere that said that a giant magnetic field was disrupting compasses and radios
I do have beliefs there still are a few Megalodons alive. I actually believe there are many presumed extinct prehistoric sea creatures that are still living in the oceans.. somewhere.
We think that Megalodon became extinct because its food source migrated to cooler waters, where the Megalodon cannot survive in temps that low. Generally speaking, the deeper you go, the colder it gets, so its illogical to think that ,if it is alive, its in deep places like the Mariana Trench. And if it is in shallower waters, it would've been spotted by now.
It amazes me how we did all these thing like go to space and go down the Mariana Trench in the 1960s to the 2000s and now with all this amazing technology we barely hear anything from places like these.
Almost everything these ppl find is kept secret. There’s so much things we don’t know yet or even think to exist that actually exist and have been found but kept secret from the public and only the folks upstairs know
Bob Dilleybobbob till the boat sinks because my luck would make it sink just by simply laying on a bed the wrong way then next thing uk megalodon and jaws from the movie come to eat my n only me 😂😂that’s just me being paranoid

if you researched more about the ocean, you'd be more skeptical. Also there are barely any nutrients on the ocean floor to sustain large animals save for brine lakes and underwater volcanic vents
more likely to find little to midsized undiscovered species. most likely imvertibrates and crustaceans. But fish species for sure as well. I am 💯% sute there are no megalodons in the deep fam
I had a dream i was on a very high bridge overlooking a massive water reservoir with a dense forest biome surrounding it and it gave me that uneasy feeling. There was a chain link fence protecting you from the edge like you would expect

Its not. Like, that would be just about impossible. Megalodon was not in any way a deep water predator, and a few million years is NOWHERE near enough time for an apex surface predator to adapt to that kind of environment. We know for a fact that there are none left, as a population of 60ft sharks would require a massive food source that would leave behind a ridiculous amount of evidence. We would see whales bitten in half, displaced aquatic mammal populations and most importantly fresh teeth. Yet, no one has EVER found a fresh megalodon tooth even though they would be 100x easier to find if they existed
@@ramadansteve1715 Listen. This isn't about evidence. The people above want to believe it because they enjoy that idea. Don't bother trying to convince them with facts lol.
Doug Dimmadome, Owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome There HAS ALWAYS BEEN EVIDENCE A GLOBAL GOVERNMENTS HIDE IT! Whales have been washing up on shore in South America bitten in half.
1. They lived near the surface. So they weren't adapted for living in deep waters. 2. If the meg was still allive the whale population would have taken a massive hit and whale carcasess would become common. 3. They lived on Tropical regions, not on colder regions. 4. The meg would get crushed by the pressure in the Mariana Trench.
Even though Megalodons are huge beasts and scary, at least they _might_ have gone extinct 2.6 million years ago. But wanna know something scarier? It’s the fact that something even bigger could have made it gone extinct. Note: yes I’m aware that the Megalodon might have gone extinct from adapting to different climates, lack of food, etc. but it’s just fun to think about the possibilities of something being real. Heck, they found a giant squid and always assumed it to be the legendary kraken.
@@wxdakawill8581 maybe not a shark, but possibly a creature beyond our imaginations could have made them extinct, but until we have proof, we gotta to stick to our theories
Actually Chauchie 42, the innermost parts of our planet have been Xplored. It's just not widely known- u know? One's gotta sift N sort, do some research and critical thinking.
@Magali Mercado ur talking about human exploration, alot of the ocean is inhabitable and cant sustain large life, we know that through radar and sonar, we don't need to explore because there is nothing of interest
You got one thing wrong, the Mariana Trench is the deepest DISCOVERED part of the ocean, there could be a place that goes far more deep, but how could we know for sure?
Because a lot of the ocean that we haven't explored is the deep and the pressure is just to great to go down there so it's pretty much not possible for us to go down there we have only been down there 2 times
Because funding + the water pressure is practically murderous. Plus in some places of the ocean, it’s often colder than the trench, which is around 1 or 4 degrees Celsius or 34 or 39 degrees Fahrenheit. Much warmer than other spots in the ocean which are often extremely frigid.

Simple Answer: No.
Megalodon would be unable to find any food, and would have to feed on the small organisms. Which, a shark that size wouldn't be able to do. Also, the reason most sharks don't dive deep, is because the pressure would collapse their organs and their insides would literally crumble. And judging by remains, Megalodons were related to sharks that can't dive deep. And even if it somehow is able to evolve to be bioluminescent, and somehow survived down there (which is impossible) then it would be way to cold for them! Megalodons lived in warm waters because they would freeze in cold waters. It is *very* cold in the Mariana Trench. Also, they lived near the shore and close to surface all over the world, so you would've found one already. Also, the whale population would drop drastically because of their overhunting. One last thing I have to say is that if Megalodons still existed, then how come we haven't found any fresh teeth? You would think that because a ton of fossilized teeth wash up, a ton of fresh teeth would wahs up as well.
(Edit: *M'kay so I made a mistake.* Great Whites didn't evolve from Megalodons. But that's even more proof. Because Great Whites are shown to be able to adapt to colder waters. So if they are two different species, that means they don't have the same traits. Cordell Orcullo do you think Megalodon is still alive today?
Megalodon was suited to live in shallow waters not deep ones so thats why
oof
The megalodon is gladly extinct
But there are more creatures out there
Answer?: Maybe. But not in the Mariana Trench. The pressure would cause a megalodon to become smaller and even become pale in the constant darkness

While Your Statement Is Very True & Accurate
And I Don't Really Think Or Believe megalodon's Would Go In The Mariana Trench To Survive & Return Back in present
This Is Due To:
Extreme Preasure Would Crush It If Very Deep Enough
Lack Of Whales in that (Its Major Food Source)
Mariana Trench Doesnt Have Greater Or larger Food Living In It
No Light in it, (Duh) Only Underwater Volcano's As The Light Source
& They All Already Died From Cold Climate Before They Get To Travel To Mariana Trench

Given the fact that only 5% of the ocean has been studied/searched... I wouldn’t be surprised if majority of ‘extinct’ animals are still alive .. and imagine the amount of creatures and sharks etc that haven’t even been discovered yet ...
Amy Sargent we need to get some advanced stuff to go down further. I am very interested in what lies down there
Zach Bergeon wed need super high tech lighting too because it’s dark down there I’m so curious as to what’s down there.
Amy Sargent scares you to think how big it is..
That’s what bothers me, if thats true,
how do they KNOW that the Mariana trench is the deepest place on earth?
@@elliuse5082 it's the deepest so far, not forever, 70% of earth is water, and only 5% of it has been discovered, there is no doubt that something much deeper is actually exist.
There is 100% large animals we have not yet discovered
you make no sense
For sure
Then we haven't discovered any large animals because you said "100%"
Actually 98% of the ocean isn’t explored and maybe the depths of the ocean may be deeper.. so It might be 98% as a correction...
If something is not yet discovered. How can it exist?
I'm thinking of the possibility that the Megalodon could still be alive somewhere. It would be very exciting to see a real Meg 🦈
If you had the luck to see 1 judging on its pure size you and your boat wouldn’t survive the ride back to tell anyone.🤣
Yea maybe they possibly learned to fly outside the stratosphere because they can "adapt"
Too bad you’ll never get to see it
A Bigfoot told me the Megalodon lives today.
Did you say a Bigfoot? I was told by a lepricon that mice don't exist
That was funny.
Maybe the Bigfoot also lives in Mariana Trench. Lol

ChefGiovanni the tooth fairy told me 😂😂
Explorers: explored 5℅ of oceans deep, Meg is extinct...
95% of oceans deep: Hold ma Megalodon
They lived near the surface. They wouldn’t survive in the deep
Hahahahahahha I’m laughing my head off lol
THE BEST JOKE!!

Yaaaaaay
I’ve been studying megladons for 5 years now and I’m only 10 and I’ve found something like a pattern in all my research, it’s that people tend to look at the megladon as a huge killing machine but way I like to think of them as is a sea creature who feeds on other creatures to survive but to go from such a massive diet to just a few things a day would make the megladon almost as small as the white shark 🦈. And also it’s not possible to predict what lies beneath our ocean surface giving we haven’t even discovered a quarter for all we can tell there could be a shark 20x the size of the megladon.
Did you say you're ten? 💀
Also the megalodon is a killing machine and scientists believe he ate 5 to 6 pounds a day

Right
About 95% of the ocean is undiscovered so how do we know it's extinct
Alyssa Barton wrong about 28% of all ocean species have been discovered but 48% of the ocean floor has been discovered
@@redwoodtree5725 23 million years can bring on massive adaptations.

95 % of the ocean has not been discovered. The Mariana trench is the deepest part of the entire ocean. I would not be surprised
Christo Joseph s
95% of the Ocean's sealife.
if you researched more about the ocean, you'd be more skeptical. Also there are barely any nutrients on the ocean floor to sustain large animals save for brine lakes and underwater volcanic vents
most of the nutrients get used up by midwater creatures before reaching the bottom
more likely to find little to midsized undiscovered species. most likely imvertibrates and crustaceans. But fish species for sure as well. I am 💯% sute there are no megalodons in the deep fam

Wow this is awesome and interesting
Even though Megalodons are huge beasts and scary, at least they _might_ have gone extinct 2.6 million years ago. But wanna know something scarier?
It’s the fact that something even bigger could have made it gone extinct.
Note: yes I’m aware that the Megalodon might have gone extinct from adapting to different climates, lack of food, etc. but it’s just fun to think about the possibilities of something being real. Heck, they found a giant squid and always assumed it to be the legendary kraken.
You don’t mean like a 500ft shark do you?!? If so..........
We are in trouble 🦈
@@wxdakawill8581 maybe not a shark, but possibly a creature beyond our imaginations could have made them extinct, but until we have proof, we gotta to stick to our theories

The final megalodon didn’t get extinct until it ran into Jason Statham.

Me either
@kingofnoobie since like 5 years 👍
As for land lidar
You got one thing wrong, the Mariana Trench is the deepest DISCOVERED part of the ocean, there could be a place that goes far more deep, but how could we know for sure?
Audius590 thermal cameras
Thank you😂😂
That's true the ocean is very vast.
@Matt Ellis how do you know that? Where can I find it, technology can fail sometimes to...
Exactly.... only 5% of the oceans have been explored
I don't understand why we know more about Space rather than our Oceans
Because a lot of the ocean that we haven't explored is the deep and the pressure is just to great to go down there so it's pretty much not possible for us to go down there we have only been down there 2 times
Because funding + the water pressure is practically murderous. Plus in some places of the ocean, it’s often colder than the trench, which is around 1 or 4 degrees Celsius or 34 or 39 degrees Fahrenheit. Much warmer than other spots in the ocean which are often extremely frigid.
cool cod there’s no oxygen in space POINT BLANK PERIODT
