I've been missing your content. Your mental health is way more important than my available viewing content. Love what you do. Much respect from Switzerland.
I know exactly how you feel sometimes , everything just gets overwhelming and you just have no interest in anything . Eventually something positive happens and all of a sudden you’re back on your feet . Keep the awesome videos coming . Keep positive and we’re all glad to see you back 😊
great video. i get tyred of my projects too. and feel like selling them off. last month i had a buyer lined up but i got cold feet. so i didnt sell up. now i am loving getting involved again. it was excellant to hear how you felt. it helps to hear what other humans go through to make you feel human yourself. thanks a lot.
You did a really great job on the floor. Great to see you feeling better. I know exactly what you went through. It's not easy, but it's good to see you come through.
Hey DJ!! One of the reasons I watch your channel is because of your honesty... Another big reason is the way you go out and find these things and bring them back to life in your own way! When your channel gets to 100000 subscribers you will understand the biggest barrier to your youtube car success was doubt. You beat it and continued your commitments to the real things in life like family and mental health. Keep going mate. Many people have got your back DJ. Enjoy... ps... we want to see race track beaters too ;0
Thanks for sharing about how mental health was affecting how you felt about working on your cars. Glad you have friends around you who encouraged you to keep going. Keep at it. Always enjoy seeing your videos and look forward to seeing more.
@@AutomotiveKarnagechin up pal, you have lot's to feel great about whether you know it or not. The joy you bring to complete strangers with your videos would be just one incredibly positive aspect of your life. I don't know you from a bar of soap but can confidently assert you are an eminently worthwhile person on this earth. Try to remember that mate 👍👍😉
May keep going. I love watching your videos so it means other people would like watching your videos give it time the RUclips algorithms will eventually go in your favour.
G'day DJ, Having your mates push you was the best outcome, you pushed through the doubt and got it done. Don't rule out that fact that car could end up back on the road one day. Too good to trash mate. Looking forward to more updates on this one. Cheers
Maybe one day. Although she will stay rusty for now, does not mean it will be treated with any less love. I just really want to get in and drive it. Good mates are the best.
Hi DJ, The valiant is turning out great. Thanks for talking about your mental health, it’s good that others can see that mind games can affect anyone, also good to see your getting through it. Cheers
I'm excited for this project. My dad had an ex taxi VF Valiant slanty 225 and I just missed out on ever driving it .... :( I'm still sad 30 years later... :( Anyway will watch witth great interest and can't wait to see this old car running and driving. Good luck with all the work ... 👍
Awesome video and great to see you are back and dong what you love. You should save the back end from the donor car and make a couch or bbq for the workshop
Good too see the old girl being worked on don't forget to do bonnet hinges put pins in the end of doweles to stop them failing just one of the things I did to my pacer 40 years ago and there still working great
Hi DJ, Great stuff mate, appreciate your worldly honesty, love your stuff, keep the Pacer going. Followed you for some time now. Doing a resto (full) doing my head in...but lovin it. Once again thank you. Steve
I think this car should be a full resto, paint it up and make it look shmick as you have plenty of patina cars already. Don’t let things get to you mate, many of us don’t have the skills of the RUclipsrs we love to watch but it doesn’t mean you can’t do it, just take your time and it will surprise you what you are actually capable of. Good luck with the build and remember it’s not something you have to knock off in a few months for us, if it takes a couple of years then so be it but have a break from it every now and then to do other things or it will get to you.
Yep; my vote for the engine bay is to clean and clear coat. The radiator support probably should be matt black. Thanks too for sharing your moments of self-doubt; definitely been there with my projects!
Great Video mate, I met you at Pinjarra Max, at the RUclips tent, I was hosting with Roar Torque, Those Pacers are worth the effort restoring. I chopped a up car on my channel this week also. Keep pushing mate, that’s great content .

Great to see you back at it, dont worry I think most builders suffer from the same self doubt at some stage. That rear cut would make for an excellent shed couch
Great to see this Valiant coming together,, another great car that still keeps it's wreck vibe, like the Cressida. I still remember seeing the blue Pacer on it's lid When I went up there a few years back good to know it has been put to a good cause.
Thanks DJ, have been wondering about the Pacer, now I know!😅 Just a wild thought, crowd funding to convince Graham to pack up and become your neighbour, you guys together would be awesome, if you have room in your shed for a tank!😂🤣! Yeh, I know, Graham would scream at me, you want me to do f🤬king WHAT ! Good luck mate, keep finding those desert relics! 🇦🇺👍
Nice to see you get that floor done. What kind of extra work would you have to do to make it fully road legal? Would all the rust have to be fixed? Would be cool to see something like that cruising down the highway...
Another great video, always love Valiant content. I’m a tragic at collecting cars too some good some not so good. I struggle for similar reasons as you. I’d really like to see the Valiant done right and road ready one day no matter how long it takes…just look at Peter Andersons XC 😊
Make the engine bay look like new with a pristine engine as well Fully detailed and a rusty outside Floor looks fantastic you did a great job for someone who doesn’t know what they’re doing Not as hard as you think You have the ability to do anything DJ just get in there and do it That’s what I do and it either works or it doesn’t 😂😂 I have missed your videos Maybe just focus on one car and don’t spread yourself out to much
sad to hear you lost the plot a bit back, we all wobble a bit from time to time, but it is brave to tell literally the world about it, definitely a sign that you are on the mend ! my youngest son struggles a lot, no reason for it, he just does since all this covid bollocks, i have noticed a few of my mates struggling, is it linked ?, what do you think... keep up the excellent work young man
I honestly feel to more us bloke just start to mention we have our bad days, and talk to mates the better. Covid sure did kick many people down, myself included.

Either way it's all a win.
It’s funny how the brain works it was my love of cars that saved me DJ and the faith of 1 man to let me in on a 355 engine build (ssshhh I know it was a Holden )
Dj funny u say that about the spot welds we have 2 vanguards and a section of the boot in one of em has like 15 in this one spot all evenishly places the other has like 30 spot welds all over the place 💀
I have a photo of me about 4 or 5 sat on the bonnet of a brand new one my dad bought and it was that color blue I would attach it if you could on this platform There is some good bit on that one
The 225 is an awesome indestructible motor - please stick to it. Also, please spray the rad support black and the engine bay body colour not clear coated rust.

Clear coat

This is my other favorite option. Will confuse and suprise a few folks.
