Good to see you back. I think the Bedford cab and front clip would look great on a later model truck chassis. You would get the benefit of later running gear, brakes and suspension with a cool looking body on top. The pre-war Dodge stuff is definitely worth saving too. Look forward to seeing more videos 👍
100% grab that NL Fairlane, that is a factory 5L car & should even have a 3.27:1 LSD rear end! The fact it’s a pre-AU one as well mean that diff is the perfect width for any 4-link Falcons from XE all the way to EL. That is the perfect driveline for something! Great video DJ 🙌
wow keen eye, I was wondering if anyone would pick up on that. It is a Daihatsu g11 charade. I covered it in one of my early bush wreck videos, gosh I can't recall which one though sorry.
Lots of guys restoring Bedford's in Aus Tazy New Zealand. Copperhead kustoms. Check him out. You need a flat back with a hiab pic them cars strait up. Pulling a trailer..you need a drone. Get high see more secrets. Rat rod the Bedford. Use chassie as a build table. There's gold in them there hills. Thanks for the video. Looking from Sweden.
Did you notice the Galant had a XR Falcon grill , also that Fairlane is a ZC going by the boot lid trim , also grab that front bar with over riders are worth good coin
That 95 fairlane has a slippery diff, have one I’m rebuilding, that grill would be great to have, shame I’m on the east coast ,love the channel and keep it up mate cheers 👍🍻🍻
Seems to be a few SA plates in WA, (suspect). The Blue ZC/D , Fairlane 500 badged normally ment V8, power steering normally on V8's as well, and the badge on the rear side flank is ZC style, it had ZD tail lights and rear seats look ZD, but the boot trim and evidence of where a badge was on right side is ZC style, and door cards look ZC. The center console would have been a fold up down arm rest (center seat when i was a kid) that was common with column shifts, So that's what i can make of it. Oh and the front bumper with the over riders was a cool option.
Awesome video My favourite car you found was the Dodge Brothers as my dad had a 1928 dodge tourer that had the back end cut off as they did back in the day. He ended up turning it into what is called a C cab. Would love to get my hands on one to do a tribute for my dad.
Thats the Ghia grill. LTD grills are vertical bars only, no horizontal. That interior is the lower spec, but there still would have been woodgrain which has obviously been taken
Early 1920s vehicle. Should have a chassis number on either the front left or right chassis rail. There’s a lot of info online about them. Most interesting is that the bodies were often Holden bodies and shipped to Sydney from Holden in Adelaide
That galant is interesting. The grill is wrong. Don’t know what it’s off but it doesn’t belong to that Galant. The taillights are definitely GC Galant. The front bumper ends look worth saving. At least the passenger side anyway ( good ones are like hens teeth)
G'day mate if you get those sill clips off the zd fairyland I'd be happy to work out a price and cover the postage to Perth if you could do it that would be great
@@AutomotiveKarnage That s why I suggested a whole front end change, and probable rear as well. Just love the shape of that car , like a cross between a JAG and a Statesman. You already did it once with the cressida.

Mate that is some good info. Will definitely head back out there and test the diff. If it is lsd we will look at doing a rescue.
Yeah v8 for sure hey
Yea I was thinking the same thing. Should be an LSD mine was.
@@AutomotiveKarnage hi DJ how are you doing today mate are you coming to the hk ht hg nationals in November 10th tool 13th from Holden man tc
@@HOLDEN921 where are they?
I just love the old Bedford J trucks , its worth saving the cab to put on some other chassie !
Just noticed literally yesterday that we hadn’t seen anything from you in ages. Good to have you back, brother. 🤙🏼
Cheers mate, its good to be back.
Definitely ZC, giveaways are door trims, white instrument cluster, type and location of badges, boot trim.Someone has fitted ZD tail lights to it.
11:04 Spotted something in the shrubs. Maybe a a beetle?

Brilliant video mate, thanks!!
Glad you liked it!
Definitely ZD.
Taillights have indicator on bottom, tail/ brake light on top, like XY.
( ZC has indicator in middle, like XW)
Thanks for the info!
The Pre-War Dodge would date from around 1925. The gauges are much larger by the mid 30's, got a 35 myself. Body of mine was made by TJ Richards in SA
Mate I am honored a channel your size would watch, thank you. Also cheers for the info.
Holey crapolia sooo many amazballs finds!!!good onya mate!

Hey DJ just went back and watched a couple of your episodes. And seen this on the zd/c.
Just seeing it still there as I’m chasing a few things
Did you notice the Galant had a XR Falcon grill , also that Fairlane is a ZC going by the boot lid trim , also grab that front bar with over riders are worth good coin
The xr grill is great. It has thrown a few car hunters lol
that was a favorite color of those gallants
Brown definitely was a "in" color back in the 70s.
Good to see ya back- Especially with a bush wreck hunting video!
Thanks dude, been awhile. Was good to get back out bush again.
Welcome back brother I've missed you ❤️ 💙 ♥️ 💕 💜

So you are just as confused as me then lol. Really cool find being a cross over model.
Great vid mate. Please tell me you went back for that dodge!!
Cheers mate, its on my list for the next trip out.
Wicked video mate, love it. DJ mint is great to see most of the time haha, but the tags on the dodge is definitely the best find bro.
There is a t-shirt in there somewhere "dj mint" lol
I'm thinking the Bedford needs to be shortened and all the running gear from the fairlane needs to go in in as a burnout hack.
That is a wicked idea
Awesome video

Good to see you again mate. You could always cab swap the Bedford onto a different chassis.

hey DJ how are ya. can wait for another cracka video

Door trim tells you its a zc xa coupe guy could do with the roof parts for his xw

Ram type power steering used a 16 to 1 box, same as GT
It's been a while DJ, looking forward to seeing more car hunt vids, maybe you'll find another Mazda. :)
Mate you never know 😉
Those Fairlanes were full of GT part, heads , gear boxes and 9" diffs etc , just to use them up
Crazy aye.
That tuning box maybe was just some junk sitting in the boot of the fairlane? Have you ever used a drone to spot cars hidden out there?
Very possible. But this gives us another excuse to go looking for more cars lol
Good to see you uploading again mate hope you’re well
Cheers dude, So cool to see some OG subs still watching.
XC still has good door handles
The diff in the NF fairlane is probably LSD..
Z is the code for 5.0L V8 so its correct for the car.
I think the door handles are all that is left.
Be good to pluck the live rear end out of that Fairlane LSD disk brake Borg Warner rear end
will head back out and test it. I didn't even think to see if it was a LSD or not.
That’s the same as Slim Dusty’s old purple ZD Fairlane
nine inch diff in the fairlaine, need a drone to have a good look around
16 to 1 should be on the steering box for a GT specs
does it have a 9 inch diff or just a borg warner
G'day mate if you get those sill clips off the zd fairyland I'd be happy to work out a price and cover the postage to Perth if you could do it that would be great
Will give it a crack next time i am out that way. Send me a email at automotivekarnage@gmail.com and we can work something out.

That's interesting.
Bedford car carrier 302w from the fairlane
That is a sound combo.

Hmmm, 5 litre Windsor and a Dodge 30's body, hod rod maybe?...
I know where there is a 30 chev chassis too
fkn awesome mate, you need to start collecting the pre war shit & build a rat rod
Its like you can read my mind hehe
welcome back

I do, just need to learn to use it more.
ZC mate.
HG / K van ??????
Good spot.
Put the V8 in the Dodge and build a rat rod.
Yes. I know of a complete chassis too.
