And then it happens again with Xemnas kidnapping her, and Xehanort pretending to kill her, and don't bring up the DLC it doesn't excuse what they did to her character.

Kairi's heart was fractured and the shards scattered across Scala Ad Caelum (the white city), and while the lore reason holds up (they didn't kill off any of the other guardians either) it failed to excuse Kairi's treatment in the initial release. Too little, too late...

Let's remember Axel gets his ass wiped for most of the finale for a similar reason (not being experienced with a Keyblade)
It was either they do the final mix treatment or go with what they did in the game, use Sora's time travelling to create a plot justified final mix

i've noticed he tends to slip into his Sora voice when his character is pissed or emotional. And now i just have the mental image of Haley Joel Osment in the recording booth recording the most joyful lines about friendship with the most pissed off look and a vein in his forehead about to burst

This is raw. Sora's tone should've been more like this recent game. This game ,the voicing felt kid-ish. Wasn't like the first game's. That real raw emotion. But awesome job in this scene.
Something was off with the voice direction for all characters in kh3. Not sure what it was.

Yeah, I know people make fun of the KH dubs, but dude's a genuinely talented actor and you can see it right here in this clip.
Seriously. I had to go back and play some other KH games after KH3 to make sure I wasn't misremembering liking the voice acting.
The angrier he gets, the higher the octave. Seems you have to keep his triggered level at around 60-75% to achieve an acoustic Sora match.
