I like how when you talked about "the producer" as if he was the unsung hero they usually are
but you were actually looking at the producer in the video, playing the guitar on a sheer cliff. (also the guy getting a face massage)
producer, composer, guitarist and mastermind of igorrr, Gautier Serre.

Many people will suggest Very Noise, but to me "Tout Petit Moineau" and "Cheval" are far more superior. Cheval is experimental but sounds very cool. ieuD is "Dieu" backward, which means God. They're having fun playing music at high level, they don't take themselves that seriously, but it's always a bliss to go back to them from time to time.
    Have fun

This is polystylism music - it shares it's roots with Alfred Schnittke and goes back about 40-50 years.
"One of the few orchestral works written after 1945 to enter the repertoire of ensembles worldwide, its uneasy fusion of old and new, high and low, and grave and comical captures what is most Schnittkean about Schnittke. This unveiling is also Schnittke's central compositional strategy, something he calls "polystylism." More than mere eclecticism, "polystylism" is for Schnittke a musical last resort for building large works; it is a means for dynamic musical theater, whether comedy or tragedy; it is also, as Schnittke believes, the best way of creating successful musical tension amidst unprecedented musical freedom. And so polystylism is eclectic, but never indifferent; it always intends to confront, surprise, and subvert with utmost calculation. Hence the Schnittkean paradox: things stick together by falling apart, in exactly the right places, at exactly the right times."
This was an excerpt written about Schnittke's Concerto Grosso 1 (Which i highly recommend checking out to see where Igorrr roots are from). If that doesn't speak to Igorrr's music I don't know what does. I'm actually really surprised no one has made this connection yet between these two greats.

Igorrr is the name of the producer (DJ)(the bald guy) he creates all of his own samples (of which he plays guitar, bass and recorder himself) and mixes them into tracks like this beauty. he also uses samples of less usual instruments like vacumcleaner, giant metal tub, and chicken.
he is mainly influenced by metal and classical genres, but also uses folk and even gypsy like music in some of his tracks.

Hey there, just came across your video on Shadow of Intent and had to go through much of your videography. Your insight is amazing and is absolutely something I can use in writing music with my own band. Also, unlike many other reaction channels you take the time to discuss the music we hear, and are unapologetic of, yaknow, actually reacting to the music, I have a few suggestions that I think would be interesting for you to do.
As far as Ive seen, alot of the stuff you do is bands that do alot with alot, complex technical riffs, progressive instrumentation and lots and lots of intricate little movements in their music. I love that too and have alot of suggestions along those lines as well, but for an example of a band that (I at least believe) does alot with a little, Traitors is probably up there. Now mind you, their music is very heavy and absolutely an acquired taste, so I dont expect you to like it, but their ability to use simple riffs and drumming, combined with amazing songwriting, to build and release tension, is beyond me. A good start with them would probably be the first (and in my opinion, among the best) track they ever released, Arrogance. It uses the Bass, dissonance and silence to great effect, and is simply a headbanging rootin tootin country ditty that never fails to get me hardcore dancing in my room.
Another good one is Nescessary Death by END, not as heavy, and on the faster side of things, but in terms of simplicity it is not lacking, at only three minutes it is filled withamazing simple riff writing and a mastery of tension that can not be understated.
On the more complex side of things, I would enjoy hearing your thoughts on some Vildhjarta, they are a very progressive band, and their new track, Den Helige Anden shows that music doesnt have to be simple to invoke primal emotions such as despair. They take such meticulous care in building their music, that this is the first track they have released in 7 years despite being an active band.
I look forward to seeing more from you, be it metal or not, you provide valuable information and insight that I havent seen anywhere else on youtube.

This is completely unrelated to this track but I wonder if you would like Aghora. They're a prog metal band from Florida with a blend of technicality and melodicism, though I think their later albums focus more on cohesion. The vocals can be difficult to like but I think they fit (generally). I would recommend Satya, Immortal Bliss and Existence (from their self titled album from 1999), Moksha and Dime (both from their 2006 album, Formless) and Path (from their 2019 album, Entheogenic Frequencies, which is also completely instrumental). :)

You should check out Öxxö Xööx (69 / Make Love, Not War) as well. Same musicians but with the songs a bit more streamlined. Pure avant-garde metal with primal themes and gothic flourishes throughout. Blew me completely away on first listen. I'd recommend "Därkäë."
All the lyrics are comprised of a made-up language created by the band. I believe it's the same language that is used in Igorrr as well.

It's quite different from what you usually react to, but i'd like to suggest Carne by IOSONOUNCANE, an italian song.
I wouldn't really know how to define its genre. I mean, it's much more pop than every other suggestion even tough it pushes the boundaries quite a bit.

this song is pure art a masterpiece (for me), but the new "Noise" is a mess with no music (for me)
I like some of his older songs as well.

Hey man, you should definitely listen to Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - Gunday's Child or Babydoctor or just really any song of the album "Of Natural History". They're inspired by Igorrr :)
Or if you're up for a wild genre mix try Vladimir Bozar'n' Ze Sheraf Orkestär :D RRS Master is a good song to start with :)

For those interested, in the artist’s language (French), IeuD is the phonetical pronounciation of IED (Improvised Explosive Device).

Igorrr seriously is other level. Insanely creative, really has no "sound" and does crazy experiments and makes them work (for example, his chicken composition where he threw chicken feed on a toy piano keyboard, then wrote a song around the chicken's random plucking at the food. Who does that?????)

    • @poznychev
      @poznychev 4 года назад +1

@@ainisjukss52 Well, it's more like "verlan" than precisely spelled backward, you're right. Verlan is "l'envers" pronounced backward (where the syllabus are the units, not the letters).. and "l'envers" means... backward. So you _say_ "ieud" in french verlan, which mean "dieu", which is... God. It's not 100% logic though, you have some inconsistencies, but hey that's how languages work.
