The action is like none other! And they actually made me a fan of partially serrated blades. They cut like a beast! Everything about these knives are just badass. 🤙🏼
I had one of the minis from 98 and an s90v full size from 2006. I ended up selling both of them around 2017 when someone with more money than brains decided they wanted them more than i did. No regrets. Theyre great knives and Im eventually gonna get one of the tantos with the fully serrated main edge/plain front edge, but im not in any hurry. Thanks for showing it.
I finally bought one a while back in full black partially serrated drop point. All they had was partially serrated versions in stock but when it came in it was so good that instantly went back on dlt and order the tanto version. I chose to use the drop point as my edc and my tanto is just for display. They’re in my top 3 favorite folders of all time. Awesome blades! They’re really hard to beat.
I literally today just got a new microtech scarab 2 gen 3 in the natural clear finish like your socom and I love it❤this new finish makes it look and feel like a solid titanium scarab.would love to have this socom now to make a beautiful pair.❤great video!
Love this knife-hard to find in Canada, but secured one for myself the other day! It truly is a beauty in hand and works hard. My favorite folding knife for sure!
I have one coming in the mail today.. i have a few elites already but i love the anodized titanium look.. couldnt pass it up.. i already know its a great knife.. Awesome video.. made me feel good about my purchase
I just got a black one the other day. Wow! For such a large knife, it is extremely light and I dunno if its the shape as well but this thing carries like a much smaller knife. Front right pocket, hardly know its there! Im very impressed... And it is a tank of a knife, no doubt...
Nice new blade, mate! 👍 Am I right in assuming that the “natural clear” finish has some sort of clear-coat applied over the aluminum? I’ve been out of the loop on new offerings from Microtech, so your video tipped me off about this new finish. Cheers! 🥃
I think so! Something tells me they wouldn't leave the finish raw and that there must be a clear coat although it's muted with no shine so does appear to be naked metal. Glad you're enjoying the vids! 👍🗡️👊
Their edges hold, you can ask many Microtech owner/users, with emphasis on users! 😀 Numbers don't mean everything and overly hard knives hold their edges but are also quite brittle. Microtech has the ability to make a knife anyway they want, so whatever the numbers end up being, I trust in those... Bottom line, is if you use a knife you will know a knife. 🗡️👍
Get you a partially serrated one brother. Microtech knows how to do serrations. They animals for cutting tough materials. You will not be disappointed.
I know im a little late but i have a microtech amphibian dated 01/24 and it tested at 57 HRC. It holds the edge great but it is softer so edge rolls can occur

Thanks for your comment! I also had a mini and it must have been from the '90s as well...
Been on my “to buy” list for a while. Every time I have the funds, they’re not available. Still on the hunt. Thanks for the review Dave.

Man that’s a beauty!!!
Thanks Bob! ... even without the serrations! 😂🗡️👊

The funny thing is, it's been very impressive for many many years, and still is! Glad you're enjoying yours! 🗡️👊🗡️
Great blade! 👍🏻⚔️🔥
I bought a Socom Elite in 99 or 2000. Fantastic blade! Unfortunately I lost the mine ten years ago or so.
Sorry to hear that! Hope you can get another. 🗡️👍👊
Magnificent design 😍. My son lost mine 15 years ago in The Rappahannock River. I just sucked it up and bought another one. Sweet, sweet knife.

Thank you kindly! ♥️

I've wanted to pull the trigger so many times but their heat treat turns me off everytime. What do you think of it?
