- @dawillkid shows us his beautiful 2JZ GS300 / Aristo in this episode, and chats about the decisions he had to make when building the car. I was amazed at the build quality and fitment of everything, and the extreme attention to detail he put into everything. I love it. It is really cool hearing him chat about the trade offs between style and performance, and hear him talk about his next build?
Авто/Мото
Style is a choice.
And god damn it is the right choice
Definitely!
Not deally
So inspirational! This blows 99.9% of the SEMA builds out of the water in my opinion. Plus, the fact that it actually gets driven the way it does makes it X100 more rad
Nakamura And Animal Style is the best examples of Style and Function and drive more aggressive than everyone else
style and performance is basically nakamura's s13, it looks absolutely sick and it's also completely performance oriented
Agree
Imo the front being monster truck and the rear slammed is dope af and cooler than stance imo.
Yup and closest we have to that in the states is Animal Style
@@dustino773 well considering Julian is nakamura’s US parts dealer and that they constantly go back and forth to japan and America to drive with each other I’d say that’s basically the same level of car😂
(Captain obvious alert) Well yes but in that case, the driver is making quite a difference 😂
Perfection with OCD and an eye for fitment, dont find many people with this dedication
I love how your drift week vids are more current this year. Last year you were two weeks later and it was old news by the time you posted. Especially after watching adam and trevors vids already. Keep it up!
you do realize he probably works harder than all of them running events running the channel and everything else he does and has so much footage to go through they will slow down again but that’s okay
@@stephngibson5517 lowkey miss his raw 2-3 hour videos
@@snoisulli sameeee
@@snoisulli 7 hour matsuri videos ftw!haha. Only car tuber that does that and I love it.
Will is a very talented builder and fabricator. Very happy with all the work he did on the 2J Vette.
Love to see the GS get the love in drifting again 💖
Never would've known how much went into this car without this video. Only ever saw the 2 minute drift video from him. Just WOW, unreal
More driving footage spliced in on the next local interview
In my opinion one of the coolest cars you have had on the channel yet.
LMAO Cut him off from talking 😂
Best transitions I've seen a grassroots big-body car do.
In a time where Formula D cars run 800hp+, performance doesn't even matter anymore for the smaller budget builds. $100k build isn't fun to look at. But a car, like this where a fabricator throws it together in, per say the garage.. Thats the drift car. And its stylish boiiiiiiiiii
Exactly!!!!
This is what I love to see. So much style! It’s like art in motion
you should include more clips of the car drifting, i would like to see the results
That is very well done. I could never build something that nice to go drifting.
A1 build. Job well done 👏
Keep interviewing local cars like this 👍
Absolutely killer build man by far the most epic gs300 build around!
What an OG to focus his build on taking other people with him for the experience
Nice Job will. THAT CAR IS AMAZING.
This guys voice is perf n hes so good at talkin. Love this whole style : performance themr
Super nice GS. Dudes mad drifting such a 😎 ride.🏁🏁🏁👌
Such an amazing car. The builder/driver/owner is clearly a stallion of epic proportions. And all to bring his boys along. Fucking stud.
Holy fab work. That guy has serious skills
That thing is amazing
this car is SICK
driving fast and ripping is style!
Super sick car!
Sick build
Dawillkid's car is sick!
I've followed this build via instagram for a minute, it was sick to see him on the channel. Awesome build for sure.
Love Drift Taxi content
that gs300 thumbnail was tooooo clean. great content my dude
Will on camera is totally different in person. Definitely not as shy lol
Luke fink would love this and the driver
Shout out to Forrest Wang 🤙🏼 I miss your shop in Vegas and the events you would hold at your shop!
love this car!!!!!!
So badass man
12:15 the little choir tune got me lmao
style over everything
Wow. Such car.
Will is the shit! 🤘🏻
I wish they would walk around the car while the talk about it.
Absolutely bootyful literally art in motion
It’s the Style VS performance matrix, there’s a balance to everything in life.
aaron is loving this so much lol weeeee 20:16
i have a first gen gs300 🔥
Want that Gs!!
That car looks fucking dope! Love the big body vip style, may be better to gut what he can and try to get some more power in it to balance it out but imo he should not sacrifice the style on this one for more performance. Opinion on a different vehicle might be different, but I love this one!
Sick Beast, One day I finish my swap in 3rd gen gs
this car is what dreams are made of
Yup... now I need an Aristo...
he has a sick s14 too
Thing is beautiful
This is exactly why my next car is guna be a GS300. So many reasons to get one.
Update - i did buy a gs300. Its my pfp
dope gs
Wish my celica was rwd been thinking bout getting a gs300
I need the name of that body kit omgg from the sideskirts to the over fenders…soo nicee plzz slmeone help me outt what are them overfenders
wills done it all i wish he talked about sloppy boys
Shout out sloppy boys
Holy shit this car is NUTS
Can’t imagine it being 5,000 pounds. It’s probably more 3,800 maybe 4,000 and even thats on the high side
Yeah fr pretty sure gs’s are 3500-3600 stock so with some weight reduction and the big wheels and turbo kit it’s probably still right around there
ill just say that cage isnt removing any weight bro
Brandon Soto idk they weigh around 3700 factory and what weight reduction did you see? I seen a massive cage which is heavy af, still has all the interior panels and glass, big wheels, and everything that was cut from the back for the seats was still restructured and to think he didn’t do it properly after seeing his work you’d be an idiot. That being said around 4500 would be my honest guess
@@tree9010 he cut out the rear floor pan and eliminated a lot of the old structure. The cage replaces the structural pieces, he ditched all the heavy ass stock seats(likely massive leather electric couches lmao) for lightweight buckets, ditched the stock gas tank and rear trunk area as well. That’s a lot of weight cut out and roll cage stuff isn’t THAT heavy
@@zerohourdrift ok when he cut the rear floor pan do the seats just hover in the car now? I’ll teach you something, yes areas of metal such as the floor pan are heavy but that’s because they are structural, how ever if your not a dip shit that would just thrown a piece of tin over a whole and bolt some seats to it and call it a day as your implying and let’s say just by chance your a amazing fabricator.. oh wait the guy that built it is 🤯 you would make sure that your passengers and chassis will be in tacked at the end of a run by rebuilding what was taken out just as strong if not stronger. The trunk still has to much attention to detail to not be structured well in my opinion, it’s not an fd made with hollow crumple zone everything is fit and finished right which means there’s a bunch of bars back there too. I will give it to you on the front seats but rear doesn’t weigh much at all
If you built it like this without the cage, rear seat relocation, and hydro, it’s just another VIP aristo. I dig that this is so balls to the wall, but insanely meticulous.
First time you didn't sound bias towards people with Japanese cars or hating how someone built their car
He doesn’t typically sound like he’s hating he just jokes around a lot. He’s been in drifting for ever and he makes fun of himself and his cars more than anything 😂
I think thats out of respect for the guy more than anything.
Drifting bus !
I would take this car over every other car on DW.
Shame he couldn't really explain the car without you asking the questions, your vocal chords needs some rest Aaron😅
Beautiful car though🤌
LMFAO
I want this guy to build my cage in my 99 gs400
Twerkstallion
Gymkhana
KOH/Dakar
(Maybe Some USCC)
And exotics say otherwise.
Style and purpose can culminate and that's the goal if you desire style at all.
Yurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Why are you laughing as soon as he mentioned "420" hp? Hehe ;)
BRO WHAT OVER FENDERS ARE THOSE 😳
Was the hub cap thing them trolling us hahahaha
No just him being an ass to match his hat
Ya sure
Tucsong probably has so many cool cars because they have a Air Force base.
"its pretty easy" 😂
It moves and shift around l
Just like my G sedan..
William
Is there anything that can add tire life with all that extra weight
A spray washer system for the tires is cheap and prolongs the tires by keeping them cool
I just can't get away from style. I'm about to relapse and go back to three piece and low again.
Why is the battery right next to fuel? Why is there no battery box? Do they just not do safety in AZ??
1) US safety rules are way more chill
2) if it’s not a comp car, nobody cares
Carbon fiber is your friend
Don't you ever cut a follow gs/aristo owner off from talking again.
Dam its the crazy Russian
yo what is this dudes insta?
dawillkid
Why is this Orion
Man don’t insult him like that... onions out rotting in his doomsday bunker
Who is this guy??
What's his IG.....I have a gs300 and I need that bodykit
real question is how did bro afford it
He says it's a 1jz but description says 2jz
Ya he's strange
Yes finally First
14:01 you do that shit all the time. You put words into other people’s mouth.
That's his Narcissism and False Superiority Complex
mindset being “better” than others provides them with twisted justification to exploit and mistreat people at will.
MHHMM!! 🤣....
1J.....
Charging for ride a Long still ? Come on man kdf !
Looks amazing but a 1j on that heavy ass boat no thanks
Lol no way it's even close to 5,000 lbs more like mid 3k
They weigh that 3700 stock. He has full interior, glass windows, an INSANE cage that weighs a ton, and a massive fuel tank. Not to mention giant 3 piece wheels and 4 seats. Even has carpet and floormats. Id guessb 4700lbs minimum with a full tank of gas
@@EiteTryHard but he ditched the heavy stock seats (fronts at least are electric and super heavy, probably ~80-100kg per seat), the roof liner, the carpet, cut out a lot of heavy factory floor that was also super structural and was able to make a thinner and way flatter (less surface area) floor to replace it, he also ditched the factory fuel tank which probably is bigger and heavier than the 15gal cell he has now, etc. Weight comes and goes in the “little” things as much as from the “big” things. 5000lbs empty sounds unreal.
@@EiteTryHard There's no way he added 1000lbs net, even with the cage.
Yeah I fuckin quit lol
Bad*ss car
