Nice review and I love your enthusiasm. Megadeth has been my favorite thrash metal band since I hear KIMB in high school in ‘85. 52 years old now and though I have added blues and Jazz to my musical palette, I still love hearing my thrash music
You should check out some of their current shows online.. Dave sounds really damn good.. He's found some of his high notes again live as well. Plus LoMenzo is really adding well to the vocal department with his backup vocals.. Its just a new dynamics to the songs. I totally disagree on the point you made about the cover.. That cover is a work of art.. Modern take on Vic being in a scene.. Be it in a suit in a nuclear wasteland.. Cyborg in the future, flesh covered in his distance past.. In this case he's out to end the suffering of the sick and dying in the 1800 century.. A new period for Vic.. Victorian times, the founding of America.. The spread of plauge.. I really dig it.. The whole booklet and back will be involved in the overall story of the cover as well.. I'm looking forward to flipping though it to see all that cool shit.. The did it with Super Collider to.. The actual sleeve booklet had great art inside.. That cover only worked the way it should with the special edition with the holographic cover.. Where Vics head is inside the Super Collier as an atom being smashed.. Its pretty cool.. But only if you own that version of it.. Otherwise its their weakest cover for me.. I like Dystopias a lot as well.. Same artist.. Interestingly enough he did also work with A7X and Trivium.. So you weren't far off. I believe the theme however is as strong as Dystopias cover.. Dystopia was new.. This is new.. I dig it.
My favorite Megadeth album is Peace Sells for two reasons. One is Devils Island and the other is Good Mourning Black Friday. These two tracks I believe are the best thrash songs ever created. Now Rust In Peace has a lot of great songs but not the outstanding tracks that are the two I already mentioned. Now as far as the new track goes I refuse to listen to it until the album is released.
This song is great is gives me a rust in peace vibe the whole time and I glad that megadeth is back and I’m very happy to see that you are back also!!!!

NEW MEGADETH!!! First thoughts: Mix of Good Mourning/Black Friday and Take No Prisoners with a little bit of Youthanasia groove in the back half and I'm impressed! It's still thrash, but so much more. Can't wait for the rest of the album and same I'm anxious to see/hear what Digorgio adds to the band! I agree the artwork is just okay like Dystopia was just okay.
Megadeth just dropped a nuke and people don't know how to handle it.. Knowing its also the final song on the album is like the most Chad move ever.. They are telling you that this album is back to front fire. They could legit get a number 1 with this album.. Hype is real and I think they are actually going to deliver.

Belphegor's new album The Devils has been postponed until July 29th and Arch Enemy's new album Deceivers has been postponed to August 12th! Also, you missed out on Kreator's new album Hate uber alles! I was hoping to see the updated ranking of that band's albums along with the GWAR ranking! Also, another German thrash band, Tankard, is releasing a new album this September entitled Pavlov's Dawgs!

Main riff sounds a bit like Arch Enemy song Nemisis but that's cool it doesn't kill the song or anything just my first thought on it. It's a good tune maybe i should listen to Dystopia.
The latter half of the song really won me over. I was lukewarm enjoying the rest of the song and appreciating the fun thrashiness of it, but the backend of it is just badass and really enjoyable.

I was excited, and I loved it. I would say that I was slightly disappointed with some of the repetitiveness in some of the solos, and the drum sound is good, but it sounds like they were programmed. That aside, probably one of their best songs since Youthanasia.
Kikos playing is great , love the heavy emphasis on leads, rhythm is abit generic and the changeovers aren't the smoothest either, Daves vocals aren't great but he is getting on now, good but nothing fantastic, can see it being abit like dystopia, good but abit tired
Not that hyped for the new album tbh For me the last creative and interesting album they've made was Risk. Almost everything after it was tired, predictable by the book thrash metal. And this single is kinda the same IMO.
