- In this video I show you how to quickly and easily fix a slow filling toilet tank or toilet cistern on a push button type of toilet.
Any questions please put them in the comments.
The problem is usually a small rubber washer or diaphragm that can be bought quite cheaply from places like Screwfix (links below).
This is for Siamp toilet fittings.
Replacing the diaphragm should take no longer than 10 minutes to fix the slow filling toilet tank or cistern.

I'm not a DIY person by any stretch, however I fixed our toilet using this video and it cost me a grand total of £2.99 for the diaphragm, thanks very much for the video
Cracking explanation and demonstration of what should be a very straightforward process- that in fact isn't, I did all the above, as you showed, but the cistern wouldn't fill, and it was only your suggestion of making sure that the body of the float should ride clear of the sides that freed up the mechanism to work. Just a couple of millimetres made all the difference, For goodness sake surely the manufacturers could have made the body so that such criticality isn't vital to the functioning of the mechanism!! Well done Big Joe, another triumph. Thank you, saved about £50.
you just saved me calling a plumber thanks matey

Hi could you please help me i have this exact system and it was very slowly filling so i replaced the valve like it said and thats fixed that problem but now it wont stop filling what should i do please help.
@@rafsteve4164 Hi yes i ended up having to call a plumber out and the whole white system had to be replaced
£60 he charged me
I had the same issue, there's a notch on the part where the diaphragm sits and another on the screw thread. Make sure they line up when screwing it back together so the diaphragm sits flush & will not leak.
I have this problem, would it be the same fix with a conventional flush toilet?
I'm trying to twist the button off its stuck! Any suggestions?
Any tips on this? I believe you were going to start this but it was ok in this instance
5 or 10 minute job unless you’ve got a concealed cistern 😢
