Love the full overview! We use a cloudlifter to boost the SM7B... but I do like the rack hardware because its already compressed, de-essed and EQ’d coming in a little so you do way less in Ecamm or LumaFusion. Ecamm Live looks so much cleaner and easier to use than OBS...🤔 I also see you moved from shotgun to the SM7B as the primary mic, what was your thought behind that, fuller sound? Thanks Henny you’re a beast!!!!
Luis, Yeah bro I changed the mic so that I didn’t have to have two mics (one for RUclips and one for livestreams). Once I got the DBX channel strip, it was game over! That was my missing piece given I hate doing audio post production inside of LumaFusion

Great vid. on live streaming Henny. I see you embraced Loopback. You and I discussed this briefly I think back in 2019. It is pricey, however, for someone like me who doesn't or didn't have a ton of hardware at that time, it gave me what I needed to get my audio routed especially when I wanted to route my podcast feeds directly into my DAW (REAPER). Works like a champ and I don't have to worry about the open-source apps that do what Loopback does going away. Always look forward to your info. Thanks. ~Daniel

Hey Henny I’m a virtual person trainer based out in Dominican Republic and I train my clients who are based in NYC VIA ZOOM and FACETIME. I use my Mac book pro when I train groups(5-10) because the monitor is larger and I connect it to my Yamaha MG10xu so I can use my Kimafun wireless mic, but I can’t hear my clients unless I also attach my headphones and speakers. I don’t like the video quality of the Mac book pro and it limits my point of view. I actually prefer to use my iPhone or iPad Pro, which I attach to a tripod because I can move it around when I’m demonstrating exercises, but unfortunately if I attach the wireless mic, I can no longer hear them and it affects the quality of my SPOTIFY music as well. I guess what I’m asking is would you consider a virtual consultation to help me improve the quality of my productions...I have invested in plenty of equipment but I’m clearly no sound engineer...I invested in ecam live last year after watching your video but canceled it after reaching a point of frustration....can you help please?

I’m wondering how I can create similar setup, but my M1 MacBook Air only has 2 usbc ports.. you have 3 cameras (including your iPhone), then you are also capturing your displays… how many external USB ports (using a hub) into 1 m1 USB port does the M1 support?
I don’t understand why you need additional items plugged into the iPad? Why won’t it work to just have the one USB-C? Like doesn’t that have enough bandwidth for both audio and video with low latency? What am I not understanding? (Genuinely)

I have the same Shure SM7B/Audient Evo 4/Ecamm setup. Did you have to do anything differently to get your Evo 4 to show up? Ever since I installed Ecamm, my Mac mini won't even recognize my Evo 4 anymore, so I can't use my SM7B anymore. Any thoughts on how to get it to show up again?

An alternative to Loop aback software is hardware....a mixer. I use Zoom L-8. It solves that same problem.
