Fantastic walkthrough everyone, specially the Cat-Host! I'm very excited about this integration because it'll level up my workshops. Many people are really used to Zoom and although the guest invitation dialogue in Ecamm is very self-explanatory, it's still a hurdle for many. The main takeaway for me is still going to be that Ecamm integration when I go --> to a Zoom meeting as participant. Jeez how people are going to be wowed. Even if we could do it before with the use of Ecamm Virtual Camera, it seems go much smoother now. Great times!
Cat, great video! Can you clarify how to put the active speaker in the camera source. I cannot seem to figure that out. You had your preset overlays and I've the guest 1, guest 2 concept, but I didn't see how you managed to get the active speaker in there. Thanks!

I run a virtual speaking competition. This is so cool and would really help WOW the audience and keep them engaged. The only thing is we have up to 10 speakers, and I wish Ecamm would allow that many guests at one time, bc then all my speakers could be highlighted on screen fancy. Otherwise, this is amazing. We worked really closely with Zoom to find the best number of guests that would give the best quality results for the most amount of people and eight is what we came up with. You'd have to have a pretty powerful computer, great internet connection, and the highest level Zoom account in order to do that with Ecamm and Zoom.
I tried the integration in a training class today. Unfortunately, it cut my audio 3 times, twice after returning from breakout rooms. In all 3 cases no one could hear me and I had to restart Ecamm in order for my participants to again hear me. Everything was set up as it has been for 100+ of these training sessions. It was nice to bring others' cameras into my scenes and very nice to highlight comments, but I can't use this again until it's reliable. I've submitted a support request via the app.

Great walkthrough, thank you. I will use it for podcasts and webinars (recorded and livestreamed). I think this integration has spared me the pain of having to upgrade from an Intel i5 iMac to one of the new M-Chip machines. Well for now at least anyway.
I did a joint livestream yesterday with some big platforms. Someone else was the host. I upgraded to ecamm pro as the call was in zoom. Set up was good But when I hit ‘go live’ and streamed the zoom meeting I was the only one out of about 20 who had audio problems. No sound for the audience watching until I flicked the mic and speaker option while in panic mode. Eventually they heard the show but when it came to me speaking none of the other zoom guests could hear me. It was all fine in the ecamm recording file afterwards but not when it was live. There are multiple options with settings and I hope it’s just something simple to correct. But could a clear video on mic and speaker settings be done for all possibilities when using ecamm live with zoom? I was using an up to date MacBook Pro 16 inch with m2 chip (2023). I used internal mic and speakers with my iPhone 15 pro max linked for the camera.

Great walk through! Thank you! I was using the zoom integration to teach my virtual classes. This makes me nervous because we watch videos during our classes, have class discussions, I share my screen during class and I could potentially have up to 15 people per semester. When I use sound effects, I need the participants to hear them. None of that was covered here. I also don't know what the audio settings should be. Do you have a video for instructors and users that will have more than 8 participants? I have 2 zoom accounts. One account for my business and the other account is with the university for my classes. Not sure how to navigate that yet, will try and see what happens. I love ECAMM LIVE and have been using it for years now but this make me nervous because I can't seem to find any information on this particular use case. Until, I do I have to change my whole class delivery format. Can you please do a video demo for instructors or teachers that teach online classes? Anyway, great programming as usual and she is such a great teacher!! 🙏 Thank you!!
Hi there! Yes, you can definitely do all of that with Ecamm for Zoom. The best way is to practice. EFZ automates everything for you so any sound effects, videos, etc that you play in Ecamm will carry through into Zoom automatically. Hi Jerome! If you're using Ecamm for Zoom, you wouldn't need Loopback. Ecamm can hear the audio from Zoom and Zoom can hear the audio from Ecamm. Let us know if more questions come up!

I’ve used Ecamm in Zoom before with an enterprise license and when not sharing my screen, the camera resolution wasn’t good. I tried this a lot, with different people, and they all agreed that screen sharing was always higher resolution that doing it all in my camera feed. Yes, I had ask my settings for audio and video at their highest resolution/settings. I’m not sure this integration changes anything in that output feed. Maybe I’m missing something.

Cat if I want to play music while I'm on Zoom - how do I do that so that all my participants can hear my RUclips playlist. I still need them to see my scene and be able to hear the playlist at the same time.
Any music you play in Ecamm (either through sound effects or in a video you're playing) will go through into your Zoom meeting (webinar, event, etc) automatically if you're using Ecamm for Zoom.
When I initiate a zoom meeting outside ecamm all the sound works great. When I use the new zoom ecamm integration my ecamm can't hear zoom. I can't find anyone who has guidance for this.

I am I to take it that the only way that you are going to be able to stream your Ecamm feed to control the multiple guests that you feature is if you Spotlight your zoom window? Or is there a way to stream the Ecamm feed to Zoom?
Hi Jan! The Ecamm "feed" (ie: everything you're showing in the main window in Ecamm) is going to automatically become your "camera" in Zoom. So you can definitely spotlight your Zoom window so everyone sees it, but if you don't, Zoom attendees will still see you as everything you're showing in Ecamm.
@@EcammLive It would be great if Ecamm would replace my camera and let me run the whole meeting directly in zoom using the Ecamm interface, rather than having to spotlight my feed and using the feeds of my panelists in Ecamm. Maybe the next version will have that feature, Thanks

We're working on adding a feature to Ecamm for Zoom where the names will come through automatically. For now, you'd have to manually add a lower third with their name using our Text Overlays feature.
