      I have A-license with 53 jumps.
      I had many coaching jumps last year ( 3-way, 4-way, and even 10-way ) in order to prepare and get B-license
      anyway I didn't do the sequence and the written exam , so I may have to start over my training.

      abadi alsharif You had a time limit? Usually it's after the written exam so if you've not done it you might be good. Unless your dropzone has a different approach. Ask them and let us know!

    Another tip...do what you want, within reason. If you wanna do solo dives for the next 100 jumps, then do solo dives for the next 100 jumps. I have often heard on my dropzone that skydivers are "type A personalities", which is simply not true. Some jumpers just wanna jump for the sake of jumping. So the important thing to remember is have fun, and be safe. Set whatever goals you want, and don't let others dictate how you enjoy the sport

    So in summary (please correct me if I got it wrong):
    ...........Solo license:
    -must pass introductory training course (minimum of 10 jumps)
    -thereafter, may only jump alone or with coaches
    ...........A license:
    -have done at least 25 jumps
    -thereafter, may fly with others (after being coached) as long as they have B license and at least 100 jumps
    -access to instruction for packing your own parachute
    -access to briefing on water landings
    ...........B license:
    -have done at least 50 jumps
    -no restrictions on jumping partners
    (after briefing for the number of people you're jumping with)
    -access to coach ratings to help others
    -access to briefings on night jumps, helicopter jumps and air balloon jumps
    ...........C license:
    -have done at least 200 jumps
    -access to short distance landings
    -access to jumps with camera
    -access to briefing on wing suits
    -access to more coach ratings
    -access to demo jumps
    ...........D license:
    -have done at least 500 jumps
    -access to highest coach ratings
    -access to tandem instructor skydives
    -access to larger demo jumps
    -access to jumps with pyrotechnics
    So it's the number of jumps that determine the license then?

    The way I understand it is with an A lincense you can jump with ANY other licensed jumper. They don’t need 100 jumps and a B license. That’s basically still only being able to jump with a coach. Because that is the limit for a coach rating.

    • @SkydiveVibes
      @SkydiveVibes  6 лет назад

      It depends on your association. The CSPA requires you to have a B license to jump with anyone but the USPA is recommending only an A license. And you'll see that not everyone with 100 jumps and a B license is a coach so it's not really the same thing. Where do you jump?

    Oh man, it was different back in the day. Static line, a couple of pulls and I'm in a 3-way. 24 jumps I'm in a 16 way, sequential mind you, it was failure but not my fault! Night dive about 36 jumps.At around 50 jumps the stupidest idea came up... now I was jumping a ParaCommader a round... some **** named 'Roger' thought it'd be a good idea to try some CRW! And him under a 7-cell! Well, it went alright but a again failure overall. I may have had 70 jumps when I did my first demo. It was different.

    Loved your Upbeat presentation, us UK guys enjoy getting an A licence after 18 jumps rather than the USPA 25.... What I have found challenging is this...
    I now have my B Licence: I can jump helicopters and hot air balloons. Reality.. UK does not do Heli jumps and Hot Air Balloon jumps simply depend on if you jump a shed load at the right drop zone. 1 year later I have still not jumped a balloon.. I think it is because I am not kissing the right Tandem Factory ass.... possibly.....

    • @SkydiveVibes
      @SkydiveVibes  6 лет назад +2

      Born to Skydive yeah jumping out of a balloon is tricky. Its kind of not fully legal. I know our DZ has been arranging something to allow us to do it but otherwise you have to make an aggreement with a balloon pilot. ;) I have not done it myself get after 200+ jumps...

    Catherine, what do you think of the proposed E-Licence here in the States? I personally think our current system is unnecessarily complex as it is. I think three licence levels, with specialty ratings as needed would be better. What do you think?

  • @yuriyumanskiy3916
    @yuriyumanskiy3916 5 лет назад +2

    Seems like some wrong info but also depends on licensing authority. USPA does not limit you on who you can jump with if you have A license. C is not required for WS or camera. I fly wingsuit a with B license. I jumped heli and balloon with A

      It is really difficult to say, not knowing where you are, what your skill level is and so on. To get a B license, with USPA (other agencies are different) you must do canopy course and water landing training. That is in addition to some more precision landings and RW work. Your best bet is to contact your local dropzone, discuss your experience levels with them, and your ultimate goals in skydiving. While tickets are generally $25/jump, there are variables. Coach jumps, checkout jumps, canopy course, etc. Either way, everything you learn to get your B license will be a huge benefit. Jumping from A to B is where you get most useful and actionable information.

    Awesome videos! I'm Learning so much thank you!. I want to go for my AFF License. Just a question, How many people or how often is it to fail a lesson while doing AFF? I'm just curious because one lesson is quite a lot of money, learning on the ground with a instructor is quite different while in the air and falling great speed, and the wind is not your friend. So is it easy to fail?

    • @SkydiveVibes
      @SkydiveVibes  6 лет назад +1

      Marno Franck Thanks. Well for the AFF you pay the course in full and do not worry. If you listen and apply what you learn (you don't need to be perfect), you wont have any issue to pass it. They want you to become a skydiver and the goal is to make sure you are safe not to make you fail...

You're videos help a lot, it's better to go with some knowledge when they explain and show you something. 2 days ago I didn't even know what a canopy was haha. But again thank you. It was suggested that I join them at the wind tunnel before my first jump since I asked what happens when a lesson needs to be repeated. Oh, just like you, I am new to skydiving. Just had my first (and only) tandem jump less than 2 weeks ago.

      Here in South Africa where I'm going for my AFF license we don't have wind tunnels, or that is what I was told. But I'm not so worried if I fail cause I saw that our instructors know what they are doing and if they see I'm struggling with something they will help me how they can but if I continue to skrew up then I deserve to fail and do it again.

      It can become a profession if you are jumping all year round. But you need experience first to make decent income as a jumper. There is also many jobs on the ground at the DZ.

    • @tomsavage3774
      @tomsavage3774 5 лет назад +1

      What do you mean? You don't want to get the A licence? At the two dropzones I've been to you have to have someone accompany you in the plane to help with spotting and tell you when to jump. You essentially have to pay for two jump tickets - one for yourself and one for the instructor, regardless of whether you actually jump with them or not

    • @SkydiveVibes
      @SkydiveVibes  5 лет назад

      As Tom says, you are still categorized as a student with only a solo license. Plus you can't jump at other dropzones. Getting your A license is a smart thing to do. As you progress in the sport, you'll want to try new things and jump with buddies so for that you need to progress through the licenses. It is great since it gives you goals which helps in making you improve your skills.

      Hey! Simply get to your local DZ and ask to get a refresh. It depends on their procedure. Maybe you'll have to jump with an instructor at first but you'll be up in the sky in no time. ;) Where do you jump?

      That's a minimum jumps you need. There are other things you need to have done as well like water training, certain time in free fall etc etc. For example one can have 50 jumps and 30 are hop n pop jumps, that doesn't qualify for B licence because there is not enough free fall time.
