This is the video I would haved loved to see before my AFF course. :) I noticed some differences between what you've presented and the proggresion I had during AFF and A License, but afterall we are all getting a great training on how to become a skydiver no matter the path.
I'll be doing my A License in 2 weeks at Skydive Sebastian in Florida! All my local DZ's up here in the NYC region are closed for winter so I'm taking a pilgrimage down south 🤠 I'll have 40 minutes of tunnel time (probably overkill) going into my student jumps and, according to my coach, I should be able to crush it. The time I've spent in the tunnel has helped me just feel so much more confident about the whole process, honestly. Your videos have been really helpful and informative for _this_ wanna-be skydiver! I thank you for that. Blue skies!
Big thank you for your videos over the last couple of years , after doing a tandem last summer and now just 2 weeks away from starting my AFF ... cannot wait 🤘😃🤘
Excellent Video Catherine !!!! As usual you always provide good skydiving information. Your vids are a great source for skydiving education. Are you or have you considered becoming an AFFI ? You would be a great instructor.
I wish I could’ve seen this before I started 3 weeks ago. It really wasn’t going smooth. Had to repeat L2 TWICE and L3 once. So before I get back there I'll get tunnel time because I need it. And I was soooo nervous before every jump. It got better though, but still shitting myself when in the plane door. Hope to finish in the near future, because despite all the setbacks, I love this sport. Really do. Thanks for the great video Catherine :) Left a sub too.
right now im editing like 53 minutes of aff course video instructions , and im in this position(working for the DZ hahaha) , when i think about exiting the plane e feel really nervous ,but i know skydiving is my dream since i was a child , so ill jump that plane , this video helped me calm down a little about finishing my aff , already passed lvl 2
Failed my level 3. I accidentally dipped my right shoulder and got into turns I couldn’t undo. Stayed calm & pulled at correct altitude. Did 2 standup landings that day 💪🏽
I did the same. Fell in to a wicked spin that flattened me out and felt like my eye's were gonna pop out. Instructor fly over and saved me. After reviewing video we could see i was tapping my toes to make sure it was knees 😅 it was my shoulder and I was asked why I didn't try to turn the opposite direction lol 😬 oops
Awesome video! I start ground school Saturday and was wondering how many levels of progression you can do in one day and over how many days I should expect to finish the aff course
Hey Catherine! I’m glad I found your channel. I recently developed a passion for skydiving, and I’m learning a lot from your content. I live in Canada as well. Because of the weather, I’m planning to get my A license in the US. What’s your primary DZ in Canada ?
I would get insanely nervous (hands shaking) while having to read a report in front of a class room but when I first sky dived there was nothing at all, not a ounce of nerves..just like hurry up lets go already. lol Starting to think this stoicism might be dangerous. lol
Hi there welcome back ;), i have a question, do you also in general need to have so many exam's and inc 5x jumps hop and pop to get A license, also do u need like 200x jumps with also so many exams to get camera on helmet ? cuz here in the Netherlands we have to do soooooo many things to do that
Hello ma’am … I am from nepal and i would love to learn skydiving your videos have helped me to understand skydiving in-depth. As i am from nepal there are no skydiving courses in my country. How can i apply to learn aff course and to get my A license. Any tips for international student and school that you would recommend for a zero level of experience like me Your response would be much helpful for me Thank you
Thanks for all the info. Im a paramotor pilot now and planning to enter the skydiving club as well.. Is it better/easier/saver, or will it help me at all, to make hours in the wind tunnel before starting AFF or is that a totally different animal?
Hi Catherine, need your help. I am based out in India and want to do AFF course. We don't have this course in India but I am willing to travel to a different country for the same. Do you have any institute that you would recommend.
Come to Australia. There are direct flights from India and flights and accommodation will be cheaper than America or Europe, and the dropzones here are fantastic. I did my AFF with Sydney Skydivers and they're fantastic.
Nice video! Very informative! Just a question for the statistics. Did you conduct your own studies or did you take that data from other sources? If yes, I’m curious to know what are the sources of these fatality statistics?
Technically, a guy did jump without a parachute and survived. It was a stunt. He landed on a giant net. Another guy jumped with a wing suit and landed on cardboard boxes. He also lived.
Welcome back! Missed your videos!!
Thanks!!
First tanndem dive June 8.terrorized yet fun.changed my life. Can't wait to go again!!!!!!

Thanks Sam! I have started my coaching path a couple of years ago. I need to get back at it.
@SkydiveVibes I got my coach rating last year. I really enjoy jumping with students.
Good vid! And welcome back!
It feels great!

The 1 instructor is definitely big difference from 2 people I learned that & failed 😂
Thanks for sharing! It is something fixable with practice or even tunnel. Did you redo it yet?

I just did (and passed) my AFF, it's actually only 7 jumps here (Netherlands)
Great advice!
Thanks for watching!
Make a whole beginner series upto wingsuits
Interesting idea.
Hey I m from India 🇮🇳. Nice information
Can you guys tell me how much would it cost to have the license? Just give us an estimated 2024 breakdown. Thanks

Yes there are multiple coach jumps and some written exams to do to evolve. I think Europe is a bit more strict. 🤔
@@SkydiveVibes yah i saw many skydiver they don't have even A license and and they have camera and even wing suit, i thinks its all about money :D
I assume that drop zones dont want to report about unoffical accident

Haha. ;)
Did he tried to correct his mistake on his next jump ? 😉
