It's a good head start. You won't regret it. That being said this video is no doubt my TO GO video anytime I forget something and is clearly the best video on the internet regarding the AFF course since it's explained down to the bone. I had my first tandem yesterday and I’m nervous about next weeks second tandem because after that my training starts. It’s easy to enjoy the ride when you have an instructor tied to you. I tandom jumped 3 times before, and I really want to try solo, but it's the actual parachute maneuvering to the ground on my own that seems kinda scary.
You guys are so lucky. Living life to the full. I would love to do this, but I'm probably a bit old and overweight. 54yrs, and 18 stone 6 feet tall. Maybe it will give me the incentive to lose weight. Keep safe guys, and happy flying.
chriskeenan1 Go for it. I did the course a few months back at 32 (15 stone), another bloke with me was 55. Might have to lose a bit of weight but it's incentive to do so yeah.
Your pull priorities (in order of importance) are: 1-Pull. 2-Pull at correct altitude. 3-Pull while stable. If you aren't stable when pulling, the risk for malfunction is increased.
Great overview of the jump process. I've done a tandem jump at 13,000ft and was hooked right away. Out of curiousity, once you complete the course i'll be able to go anywhere and jump solo? And then how many more jumps and what must i do to become an instructor? thanks!
After completing the AFF course you need to do a few more (5-10) to demonstrate your accuracy under canopy, and if all is good the chief instructor can sign you off for your A license. Only once you have an A license will you be able to jump at other dropzones solo.

They want u to die
It's not. If you can't touch your ass you need to get your shoulder checked out.
Nice video, Going for my first AFF jump on coming weekend. So excited !
what is this wave before arching and deploying for?
The wave is to let other skydivers know you're about to deploy your parachute.
Skydive Jurien Bay
thank you :)
@Oh yeah yeah not everybody knows the sport
This is great! The details provided make me more confident I want to take up skydiving! 👍
Omgosh omgosh this is going to be my most favorite thing to save up for I'm so nervous when the time arrives!
this was very helpful while i was learning in AFF. All the hand signals didnt match with the dz i jumped at but the fundamentals are the same. Thanks!
Awesome video! I just uploaded my skydive jump in The Netherlands from 12.000ft. Pretty dope!
Same.
Such an amazing and exhaustive video. Thanks!
Nice, we have the additional headshake "No More work" and then the wave and the pull:-)
Ever since I watched the power ranger movie when I was 4 I wanted to be a pro sky diver. I grew up in a tourist town in New Zealand and we always passed the airport where they use to take off and land at and it was always my dream to work there lmao
Great video, could you tell me what the grey helmet is the student had on please
I tandom jumped 3 times before, and I really want to try solo, but it's the actual parachute maneuvering to the ground on my own that seems kinda scary.
So basically that's 2000 something dollars just for this, got it, thanks, seems fun, added to the "must try it someday" bucket list...
Is it safe to deploy in the middle of per say a backflip or anytime you not in the arch position
Your pull priorities (in order of importance) are: 1-Pull. 2-Pull at correct altitude. 3-Pull while stable. If you aren't stable when pulling, the risk for malfunction is increased.
It's not ideal but its better than not pulling at all.
Sin miedo al éxito 😱😍
Animo chicos 🪂🪂🪂
Great overview of the jump process. I've done a tandem jump at 13,000ft and was hooked right away. Out of curiousity, once you complete the course i'll be able to go anywhere and jump solo? And then how many more jumps and what must i do to become an instructor? thanks!
Patrick Low the A license is international. to be an instructor you're looking and hundreds of not thousands of jumps
After completing the AFF course you need to do a few more (5-10) to demonstrate your accuracy under canopy, and if all is good the chief instructor can sign you off for your A license. Only once you have an A license will you be able to jump at other dropzones solo.
After watching this I really want to try it out
Defenetely doing this course
