Its a little different in Norway.. But Really I think skydiving progress, should learn a few things from PADI... I think its a little too complicated to become and maintain license for skydiving. But I have A license, and advance scuba diving livence.
Why it takes so long to be able to wear a camera?!?!? You can jump at night with 50 jumps but 200 jumps just to use a camera in your helmet? why is that?
A couple reasons. First off, a camera poses an entanglement hazard with the parachute system as well as other skydivers’ parachute systems, and the rule is in place to allow enough awareness and know how to both prevent an accident and what to do if an emergency arises. Secondly, a camera also poses a distraction hazard to a new skydiver only focusing on “getting the shot” rather than on their position in the sky and their altitude.
Currently 41 jumps... looking forward for my B lincence. I just love your videos! Please, keep up the good work! Joing us in Boituva (city)/SP (State)/Brazil (Centro Nacional de Paraquedismo). Hugs from Brazil!

Hi Catherine Have a question here Which license or requirements are needed in order to have a friend jumping with me??? I haven't jumped yet, I was just wondering 😌
i have been obsessed with skydiving for years. i think it's the closest experience to flying. however, i have yet to realise my dream. that being said, besides the extensive studying & preparations needed to skydive solo. how many tandem jumps do i need before my solo dive?
It depends on your program. Many places will allow you to go solo your first jump. Other places may require you to do one or two tandems before your first solo jump. Also, with the relatively recent prevalence of wind tunnels, some DZs located nearby may recommend or require a certain amount of tunnel time prior to jumping. As an experienced instructor I’d recommend, if you’re close to one, 5 or 10 minutes in the wind tunnel is a huge help, and do at least one tandem prior to starting your licensing program.
Hi, Great content! What about different types of licence? And what about tandems and round canopies? Can it be counted for licence from your point of view ? I have 152 jumps and B licence from FAI but I also wish to get USPA licence some day.
@@kenty6580 my first AFF was fine however it is hard to fail your first really. I guess if you totally freak out and freeze they would fail you but otherwise it's on to level 2
@@kenty6580 I don't think there is anything you can do to stop the fear. Who isn't scared of jumping out of a plane? Just know you are totally safe, you've got 2 people looking after you so you can fall unconscious and you'd still be fine. The fear makes it more worth it, just like a rollercoaster once it's over you'll only want to do it again.

I'm a forever out of currency A licensed jumper USPA, with 40 jumps in over 10 dzs around the world.
@@SkydiveVibes previously in Australia you only needed to qualify for the previous license to the one being applied for. Rarely were licenses skipped with the only occurrence being a qualified skydiver moving to Australia and joining the APF to get the equivalent that I recall. Most people want the whole collection.
It has now changed to "applied for and be eligible to be issued".
They are now referred to as "Certificate" instead of "Licence" as well.
Thanks, this was really helpful
AFF-Student from Germany going to do my AFF-7 and first Solo next Friday and than finally be Student-Solo. Needed 3 Jumps to finish AFF-4 -.-
Super! Keep it up! Welcome to the family!
Level 2 AFF 🙌🏻
Yeah! Keep it up!
I got my A license this past summer and I am thinking about going all the way to my Pro license. Biggest fear during the AFF progression was having to pack and jump my own chute!
I know right! I'm glad i had 2 parachutes on my first pack job! 👏🏾
How did it go?
Skydive Vibes I initiated owning procedures a little higher than normal, 4500ft, just in case. The opening was a little harder than I was used too but it opened! 😂 That was a real confidence builder for me! Subsequent pack jobs have been better each time. I’m really thankful for Chris at my DZ for constantly answering my questions and letting me shadow him as he packed.
Hello from Saudi Arabia
Thanks for informatives video. Clear, easy explain.
I'm planning to get licence A (AFF courses)
I had experienced 5 times tendem
Skydiving need strong body &money.
Thanks again
New subscribe 🤘
I wish to get my A license soon. I did my AFF in Z.Hills Florida on February but could not finish all my 25 jumps before returning home due to bad weather . Just 3 more jumps and I'll finally get it, hopefully on January.
Awesome! Glad to see you progress!
Oliver …I’m getting ready to start my AFF program in Z hills too . How was the training you received?
@@nautiboiscuba it was good. You will need 2 weeks to complete all required jumps. If you buy the full aff package it will cost you like $2400 and will include all jumps and gear rental. You wont be dissappointed.
One thing left out is that each license allows you to have lower pull altitudes
C License, Falcon award, and I *was* 4 jumps away from my D License. Also have a couple CRW jumps. Seems the requirements have changed since I earned my C License back in 1999. I started packing my own rig on jump #5 or 6, helmets were not required, and by jump 75 my 13 year old daughter was packing my rig.
I love this, and i love this feeling
Solo Student, 3 IAD ~ 4500 ft working to Solo.
Going for A licence course in end of june
Its a little different in Norway.. But Really I think skydiving progress, should learn a few things from PADI... I think its a little too complicated to become and maintain license for skydiving.
But I have A license, and advance scuba diving livence.
I just did my second jump yesterday
Why it takes so long to be able to wear a camera?!?!? You can jump at night with 50 jumps but 200 jumps just to use a camera in your helmet? why is that?
A couple reasons. First off, a camera poses an entanglement hazard with the parachute system as well as other skydivers’ parachute systems, and the rule is in place to allow enough awareness and know how to both prevent an accident and what to do if an emergency arises. Secondly, a camera also poses a distraction hazard to a new skydiver only focusing on “getting the shot” rather than on their position in the sky and their altitude.
Don’t forget you can get your AFFI rating at C license with 6 hours of freefall. C-47391
Solo licence and 77 jumps:)
Awesome! Are you considering your A license?
A License with 55 jumps currently on a break untill i get my rig
Nice! Where do you jump? And which rig did you get?
Currently 41 jumps... looking forward for my B lincence. I just love your videos! Please, keep up the good work! Joing us in Boituva (city)/SP (State)/Brazil (Centro Nacional de Paraquedismo). Hugs from Brazil!
Great , thank you ! Can you please do a packing course in slow motion one day. ? 😂
That is a great idea. ;) But I am not a packing expert! :P
How much time should be calculated to gain the D licence, started from an AFF-course?
Can you recommend a country with more relaxed skydiving regulations? I didn't even have enough patience to finish video.
Main difference between USPA A License and BPA A License? Can I jump in America/UK with the other country´s License?
Good question about the differences. However, the A license is recognized internationally. But can't validate for all Associations.
Close to my A license about 10 more jump
Thank you for this now I dont have to explain anymore
Just wondering if you had any recommendations on a book to teach everything about parachuting
I have not read any book but the association mamual can be interesting. Is there anything you'd like to know specifically?
@@SkydiveVibes nothing specific going for my first certification. Just want to have as much knowledge in my head as I can! Thank you so much for your reply and your videos they are informative I've learned from them.
I'd say it's basically learning how to measure wind speeds and how to deal with what kind of weather I'm looking to read about
Brian Germain
A license with 50 jumps, doing my b-rels, missing 2 !!!
Go get it!
Thank you
how long does it take to get a USPA A?
how long and how much does it take to get a USPA C?
I am interested in wingsuiting. Just want to know how long does it take to get to a point that I can do that?
It is true sky diving is an expensive sport? I just want to know how much do I need to prepare for before I can get a USPA C
Only have an "A" license currently have 300 + jumps ,Don't really have the need for Any other .
Great videos and channel - I have a B with 137 jumps. In your video you mentioned you need a C license and 200 jumps for a camera and wingsuit. Isn't it a B license and 200 jumps with CSPA? Thanks Jake.
Solo jump - 20 jumps 💪🏻. What type of license do you have?
I have a C-License and 290 jumps!
I just got my British Skydiving A licence. Still confused about what is allowed and what isn't. Can't find information about it anywhere official. Digital altimeter? Full face helmet? Jump with other people? Is there a rule book somewhere?
C license, 345 jumps :)
Nice! Did you try wingsuiting yet?
ruclips.net/video/qifTD6xWwaI/видео.html my last jump of the season 2019 from a hot air balloon (Oulu, Finland). It was a bit chilly here as you can see, but adrenaline is a nice warm blanket ;)
@@SkydiveVibes No, but very keen to do so :D
@@MrSlarba77 Nice! and yes adrenaline helps hahaha!
Scientific fact: after 500 jumps your head becomes stronger!
Hahaha, unfortunately no but you are supposed to land on your feet. :P Personally, I prefer to keep jumping with my helmet whatever number of jumps I have.
bsrodeo540 😂😂😂
I almost took that seriously hahaha! Thought you meant your neck muscles get stronger or something like that haha
@@SkydiveVibes I'm returning to jumping, but as a civilian. I have 100+ jumps from the military. My last jump was 26 years ago and it was from 32,000 feet HALO style!!!! The DZ im going to says i have to stay from the beginning but I don't mind. The technology has changed some so learning some new things and reviewing things I already know is fine by me!!!!
@@razor75250 Great. Be safe and yes things have surely changed! Blue Skies!
put some background chill beat i would recommend u, good job !
Thanks for the feedback! Where do you jump?
@@SkydiveVibes Waiting to do my aff in Sweden, -35 in the winter up there. Any recommended DZ's ?
@@Maverickmiro I don't know this area, but I hear you. The cold is coming in Canada as well and the season is already over... :(
Hi Catharine, i love your channel and I watch every videos that you send. So, I would like to ask you. Have you been in an accident with parachutes? Tell us. Thank you and congratulations.
I also want skydiving trainning .
Stay tuned for today's video!
In terms of each licences is there tests involved? or is carry out the correct amount of jumps and your just entitled to the licence?
Wonderful 👍I wanna be skydiver 😄
I just want to learn skydive for adventure, so that i can do it on my own, what should i do
Hi Catherine
Have a question here
Which license or requirements are needed in order to have a friend jumping with me???
I haven't jumped yet, I was just wondering 😌
It depends on the association you are with but usually A or B license. ;)
@@SkydiveVibes thanks you very much Cathy!!
@@SkydiveVibes I'm new on all this but definitely here to stay
@@SkydiveVibes You are very pretty btw!!
Wait why do you have to earn a C license before you can mount a camera? My goal is to reach wingsuit flying. Do military jumps count?
B license, 167 jumps. last jump in 1992.
I'm doing my A licence in a few weeks. Am I able to wear a camera to record getting my licence or would I have to have my C licence for that?
Hi im a high school student in south africa and seem to be interested in sky diving. How much will it cost plus minus not exact
How to count jumps that we did accurate
What do I need to do HALO jump
i have been obsessed with skydiving for years. i think it's the closest experience to flying. however, i have yet to realise my dream. that being said, besides the extensive studying & preparations needed to skydive solo. how many tandem jumps do i need before my solo dive?
It depends on your program. Many places will allow you to go solo your first jump. Other places may require you to do one or two tandems before your first solo jump. Also, with the relatively recent prevalence of wind tunnels, some DZs located nearby may recommend or require a certain amount of tunnel time prior to jumping. As an experienced instructor I’d recommend, if you’re close to one, 5 or 10 minutes in the wind tunnel is a huge help, and do at least one tandem prior to starting your licensing program.
What about eye sight requirement
I've got 260k in the bank, want to quit my job and give it all up to learn to do this as a career, is this enough ?
So if I have A or B license I can't jump with a camera ! what's the reason?
Hi, Great content! What about different types of licence? And what about tandems and round canopies? Can it be counted for licence from your point of view ?
I have 152 jumps and B licence from FAI but I also wish to get USPA licence some day.
I really want to get my license
AFF level 2 (failed my 3rd) going back this Sunday
How was your first jump
@@kenty6580 my first AFF was fine however it is hard to fail your first really. I guess if you totally freak out and freeze they would fail you but otherwise it's on to level 2
Im doing stage 1 in 2weeks ive done couple tandems tbh I really want to do this but bit of fear creeping in any advice
Where are you jumping anyway?
I so wanna do the wing suit -- but I ain't got no money
Hi Catherine mam, i am interested in skydiving. And i want to study this
Hey I m from India! I wanna be a skydiver! How many people do you know who are Indian divers?
