One important thing that was not mention ,You have to attend class. you can’t miss .You can fall behind quickly. In Algebra everything builds upon itself. What you have learned yesterday, you need to know to do today’s work.

Another important advice: always check your answer(s)/solution(s)! That is essential, because sometimes you have made a mistake or the solution may be extraneous/invalid.

I had a few teachers that didn’t give partial credit,. You had to show your work but you had to come up with the correct answer…In College Algebra I had an instructor who was and Engineer. He would say you don’t get partial credit if you are building a Bridge ,You Did 98% right The 2% you did wrong cause the bridge to collapse. 85% FAILED that class A vast majority of the students we only taking college Algebra because they need it to Graduate They didn’t need any more math .The other thing that he did to mark passing his class extremely hard was this You needed to use each answer to to the next problem…So if you made mistake all the next answers would be wrong You made a mistake on problem number One …You got a ZERO on the test That why pretty much 85% failed I made sure I didn’t have him for Calculus He taught for about for a year and a half This person was truly the Math Teacher from hell I got a B in that class but I had to work my ass off to get it The stress level was through the roof
