      To be fair, that's a longer than the factory Mopar joints last with larger 35s or 37s and hard off road usage. When you run big tires and run the truck hard off road, reduced joint lifespan id just part of the game. That's the whole point of Synergy offering individually replaceable joints since you have to replace the whole linkage if the Mopar joints go out.

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  5 лет назад +4

      It isn't really a problem, just improper installation! If your drag link is hitting the tie rod, just loosen the nuts and roll the drag link upward. It should always be installed so the bend is away from the lower link.

    How do you make alignment adjustments with the synergy without popping out the end joint?

  • @groomlake51
    @groomlake51 3 года назад +1

    With the Synergy drag link you have to know what your doing to properly set it up. Most tire shop guys just can’t get it!!! The drag link hitting the tie rod is purely a installation mistake!!!! I’m so sick of hearing idiots bad mouth it because they don’t comprehend the sequence of tightening the darn thing down

    I have a 2005 20 2500 ram Cummins 59 I bought it into the dealership to get alignment done and they said I needed everything underneath all new which comes out to $2000 then I went to another mechanic that I trust and he said no you don’t need anything you what you need is the stabilizer shock other than that everything is tight underneath because it was just done when I bought the truck from the dealership seven months ago new bowl of joints knew everything so what is the best way I am not going off road but I like my truck to look nice and I do haul heavy equipment from my gooseneck or my rear bumper hitch what is the best way to keep the front end safe and last at least 70,000 miles please let me know because I know you’re not in Florida so I’d like to get everything I can to keep this truck a long time

  • @groomlake51
    @groomlake51 3 года назад

    The drag link hitting the tie rod is the idiot that installed its fault and NOT Synergy’s!!!! I have a O6 Dodge with a complete Synergy front end. Synergy progressive springs RadFlow shocks Dynatrack Ball Joints. I live in Lake Tahoe and my truck eats anything I can throw at it. Synergy’s stuff is unreal how good it is when properly installed. The only problem is the 10-12$ guy alining trucks at your local discount save here... tire shop

    I'm installing that kit on my 06 Ram 2500 now. Do you use a wrench on the jam nut for the p/side tie rod? I've heard a 33mm wrench works on it but jeeze I'm wondering how you get the 300lb feet they call for in the instructions. Also, do you adjust your drag link then take it back off to torque it? Thanks,

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  5 лет назад

      Improper setup. When doing the final set on the dragline, you need to lock it in place in an upright position. Some people will tighten the nut against the draglink, and not hold it up.

    Hopefully you can help me with a question. I have a 2018 ram 2500 4x4, Tie rod is bent in the middle. I've been able to straighten it by heating it and it looks just about straight again. I know it's not like OEM now but looks straight. I tow alot with the truck should I replace it right away. What are your thoughts on the Synergy HD Tie rods

    • @CJCOffRoad
      @CJCOffRoad  5 лет назад

      Absolutely should replace your steering. Once they bend, they're weakened permanently. We have lots of happy customers who install the Synergy HD steering. It's far beefier than stock and has replaceable, greasable joints too.
