This past weekend was my friend Levi's bachelor party In Las Vegas. We had been planning this for months. The Wednesday night before my flight out, I called him up to chat a bit and after the conversation, I said "Okay brah, I'll see YOU tomorrow!"
"What?" He said. I replied with "...see you tomorrow!"
"hah?" He said. I returned with "....see...you....tomorrow?"
I goofed up! He was confused because I had gotten my flight one day too early! Ahh jeeze! It was within 24 hours and too late to do anything about it. I would have had to cancel and been put on standby. I had to do what I had to do so the next morning, I flew out of Maui to Las Vegas without a place to stay or anything to do! My flight was terrible. Southwest has horrible seats that caused me to have swamp ass the entire time.
I got to Harry Reid Airport in Vegas and thought about hanging out there and sleeping overnight. That place is just too busy so I found a cheap hotel room on the strip at Harrah's, booked it then called an Uber.
There was an argument in the Uber staging area between two groups of people and airport "security". I think they were all named Karen. Not sure. I got my Uber who was a nice Ethiopian man who had three kids and loved it in Vegas. En-route to the hotel, there was a road rage incident right behind me where a man in a cargo truck got out and yelled at the guy right behind us. He was making gun motions, I ducked down into my seat. The Uber driver was not concerned one bit. "Oh it happen all the time. No worries". He was so chill lol.
I checked into my room which had THE WORST goose feather pillows I've ever experienced. They ends of the feathers stuck out of the pillow like hundreds of hypodermic needles. I wanted to take a nap as I barely slept the night before but man, I was in Vegas and it was only 5pm. I tanked a Pepsi, didn't change my clothes and AUTOBOTS, ROLLL OUT.
I walked the strip in 99 degree (37.2C) heat while checking everything out and talking to whomever. I got annoyed at this one woman who refused to let me get away from her. She was soliciting something perhaps paid pictures with her. "I told her, I have to use the restroom so I have to go" which I did!. She said "I'll make you forget and touched my arm." Gross.
"nope, I gotta shit, bad". I scurried away and found a restroom haha! SWEET RELIEF
I started walking around more while taking pictures of stuff and eventually started hearing terrible singing. I followed it to a place called The Piano Bar where they had karaoke. I sat down and ordered a Manhattan that came in a PLASTIC CUP. Are you serious? I was like, really? A plastic up? I can understand why, though. People in Vegas seem too just walk away with their cups, mugs, etc
I drank my VERY expensive plastic drink and relaxed a bit. I ordered a beer after that talked to the server who was ALSO from Hawai'i. I got nice and chill watching everyone sing. Some where terrible, some were okay and some were really good! This one guy sang OPERA. Everyone was stunned.
I was like "AIIGHT. THAT'S IT. IT'S TIME TO JAM". I got up, looked in the book, found a song then signed my ass up to sing in front of 50-75ish people. I sat back down My heat was racing. I was about to do this! It was about. To. Go. Down. Eventually I got called up and I sang Incubus - Drive and I NAILED IT. That was so awesome. When I got off the stage, I had a small fan group. One of them asked me if I could sing Live - Lightning crashes and I was like "Oh yeah, I got you" and signed myself up again.
Later on that evening, I got called up again to sing that song and I killed it again!!! My new friends were right up at the stage signing with me. It was awesome! They bought me beer afterwards! I was really exhausted by then so Instead of hanging out with them any further, I said my goodbyes and returned to my room. That sure was an experience. I never thought I would have the courage to do something like that. I'm glad I did. The rest of the trip was....interesting lol

Howzit! It's been too long! Life is REAL. I finally had time to bust out a new video. I hope you guys aren't mad at me! I'm definitely rusty at this for now. I hope you've all been well. I miss you guys! Oh yeah, sorry about my nails! I am constantly working on cars and yards lol

Always great to see you post videos. I think most people love the look of the moon swatches but are in happy with the build quality, marketing and availability 18 months later.

Great to see another video. I understand about life, a lot of my time belongs to others also. I really wanted the Mission Earth when it came out, but felt deceived when they took back the online sales. It’s a long drive from Alabama to any store that might have them, and to expensive to buy brand new but already secondhand. Ended up with a Seiko 6139-6010, and very happy. Very glad to see your hands and the boys again. Thanks for the video.

As for the watch I really like some of the colors they have.
Unfortunately since the company decided not to sell them on their website I don't think I'll be getting one.
I know a lot of people are really taking issues with these models but they are colorful and fun.
Glad to be back. Life was just life, man. Up and down. Big ups and big downs but I persevered and am in a good place now. Yeah, I don't think I'll be getting one unless I can get it for REAL good price and even if that, I could get something better! They definitely are colorful and fun! Cheers!

Whew finally shaking off my Baltimore hangover just now. That's a fun Vegas story. Back when I used to travel the country for work before the pandemic it was always fun making friends at random bars on your own. People tend to use social groups as a crutch. Spending 5 years on the road broke that habit for me.
Watch matters: The Swatch Moonswatch is intriguing, I always wanted the Snoopy moonwatch though, so it makes me hold off on it. It's a nice swatch though!

Edit: Welp a few hours later after deliberating, I pulled the trigger on the Neptune Moonswatch for $280 bnib!
Double Edit: Realized there's a glut of fakes of these moonswatches and the one I got was most definitely a fugazi and canceled my order.

Kurt had to come back to this! My brother in law was on the way down to my house cuz he's Army Reserve and has to fly outta Reagan, but happened to be by the Swatch store in King of Prussia and he actually was able to get me the Moon Moonswatch for me! Yeah it's not worth it overall but, it's such a Supreme hype moment for watches, I'm really glad I got to get the OG. Apparently they are starting to stock more now. The Neptune they still keeping it limited. After having this one, that's not a grail. I'll save for an actual Moonwatch, but I've been saying that for years. I just need to get back in sales and get a fat commission check and get an AP like my brother, but I went the IT Engineering route, no big pops, but way better consistency. Anyways I'm rambling. Hope all is well bro! Hope you aren't on Maui and you're safe! I don't recall you are, but if I'm wrong, God I'm praying you, Uncle Jimmy, & Ted are ok!
This is the color-way I would choose if I were to buy one, and pair it with a Gulf Racing blue/orange nato.
