Also the only Corrolas that had a different engine options were the XRS. They were also a 1.8 but instead of it being the 1ZZ-FE, they came with the 2ZZ-GE which is the high revving Yamaha variant. Idk if it has the same transmission as the Celica though but if it does then it would be the 6 speed manual.
This car was part of my childhood, my older cousin used to have the same car from 2006 s with automatic transmission since new then gave it to her younger sister who drove it until it got hit in an accident.

I had a 2008 civic, & I still have a 2007 Corolla . If I had to choose, the Corolla is the better car of these two. It’s more comfortable, & smoother.
