I had a 2005 Toyota Corolla. Had over 260,000 miles on it. She was very reliable, great on gas. I loved her. Traded her in a few days ago for a 2016. I kinda miss her though. Lot of great memories in baby
My mom currently has a 2007, it has 173,000 miles and is a great car. When my mom gets a new car I’m getting her. I love her so much I can’t wait to have her, my mom will still drive her to work but other than her working 6 days per month she’s going to be mine.
Everyone always tells me the Corolla is a bad car, it's not. It's just simple, reliable, comfortable car, and they also hold up very well like the Civic
It’s a great car. My mom and I have a 2007 that was just in an accident and we will fix it if it can be fixed. Yeah a newer Corolla would be nice but a new car isn’t in our budget right now so if we don’t have to buy a newer one right now we won’t. It’s the best car I’ve ever had in my life. It’s never failed us.
I've got the same exact car, but gray and color with 5 spd manual transmission. I bought it from my brother and he bought it from a used dealership with 120k miles. I'm at 197k now and nothing has been repaired on it yet. Best bang for your buck right there
I have a 2007 Toyota Corolla CE similar to this one, but not as kitted out. It has manual windows and locks, but at least automatic transmission. One of the things that surprised me the most about it was the amount of space. For such a small car, it can comfortably seat 4 adults, and its got quite a bit in the trunk too. I got it from Carmax with less than 15K miles on it. A really great first car for me.
Just bought a used 2008 Corolla CE (black, auto/air, cruise, manual windows though) for only $9,300 Canadian ( $7,300 USD) with only 42,000 miles on it. Seems it was driven by an old lady who gave up driving many years ago, and it is spotless inside, totally clean, without any stains, and spotless outside, without any scratches or damage. It was as if it was stored in some time capsule or something. I bought it to replace a 2006 Corolla CE, automatic (with 198,000 miles on it) that I drive the guts out on a daily basis and is still going strong without any problems, but things are starting to sound 'loose', like pistons slapping and so on, so it could go 'kaput' at any time. Its more fun to drive a slow car fast than to drive a fast car slow. I'm going to keep driving the 06 for now.
I used to drive a 2006 Corolla S that I bought new back in 2005 when I was 19. It was the first car I bought with my own money & was FAR better than my previous 1995 Ford Escort. It was a very nice car for its day & was fully loaded with a 6 Disc CD Changer, Power Sunroof, etc. I sold it several years ago cause it started to feel cramped & I wanted more legroom & also more power. I now drive a 2015 Camry XSE V6 & it fixed those problems, but besides those flaws these are great little cars that will last for many years with few problems. My friend recently bought a 2008 Corolla CE which has the manual windows & door locks, but it gets the job done & brings back memories of my old 2006 Corolla S.
My mom has this exact same model and got it in 2014 with only 60,000 miles, still runs great with 173,000 miles. My mom is getting a new car sometime this summer and I get it. I’m so excited since this is a great car.
Update: I did end up getting the car but sadly it got into an accident last week and it is going to need a lot of repairs. A few people have told us to junk it because it’s old but we are planning to fix it if it can be repaired. It’s the best car my mom and I have ever had and we believe it’s worth fixing. We have had 3 Toyotas and they have never failed us. Hopefully we will find out soon if the car will get a second chance.
My mom did also since she just got an SUV. But it’s not fully mine since my mom still uses the corolla for work. She doesn’t work much anymore since she’s getting ready to retire. So I can have the car anytime I want when she’s not working.
I have been working so hard as Nurse to get money to buy this car for work runs, but rather it looks impossible as each day goes. Life of a nurse in Nigeria. What a car!
You'll get there sis. A car that some high school students in USA are ashamed of using is what we struggle to buy here as our dream car in Naija. God dey
I hit a curb sliding on some ice and I scraped the front bumper/spoiler on its lowest point just front of the right-front tire. What part do I need to repair that and do I need the frame of the car checked to make sure it is safe? Does anyone know? I would so appreciate it!
Ours just hit 174k. Still runs good but the check engine light just came on so it may need to go into the shop. ☹️ Other than right now it’s been an amazing car and still is. Wouldn’t trade it for anything else.
I know right, my mom got a 2007 corolla in 2014 and that feature is so nice. We just got a 2018 Forester and we are now having to get into the habit of locking the door when we get in. We still have the corolla though. Aside from that the 2018 Forester is a great car just like the corolla.

phsa i suggest 2.0 SE-G if it exists or 1.8 will do fine. In Indonesia it is called J, G or V(top).. Young elegant executive but some people call this "uncle car"
I'm looking for a first car and found a few deals within my price range. Should I get this exact model (but white colored) or a 2005 Honda Civic LX? Either one honestly is fine with me, but I can't decide
Gifted You can replace the stereo raído with a Bluetooth touchscreen one as well. That’s what i did with mine when i bought it 5 months ago. But not everyone knows how to replace a stereo.
