The Poincaré recurrence theorem is the idea that given enough time (a long, long, long time), a system will return to its original state after entropy has taken its course. It is in essence the statistical anomaly that is theorized to occur when a system, in a sort of way, defies the second law of thermodynamics and breaks away from entropy, the constant change from order to disorder. An example of this would be a latte with milk on the top and espresso on the bottom. Now entropy will make it so that the drink will slowly mix together. However, according to the theorem, it is statistically likely, although really really impossibly small, that eventually, order will be reattained and the drink will organize itself and be separated. Given enough time, this can occur. Given enough time, things will become ordered again. I think things will become fixed very soon, against all odds after hearing this.
Recurrence Theorem, given enough time... Long, long , long enough, we will see order? So, this OST is an implication that we will have to surpass the point of entropy (death) to eventually get the next instalment of HL? To find out what happens next? sounds about right tbf

The composer obviously understands Half-Life's OST very well, but I think s/he would do well to familiarize themself with the written works of H.P. Lovecraft. A lot of these tracks feel too "synth-y" and I feel in hl2's soundtrack the synth is a lot less prevalent, or at least sounds a bit different. For the most part you guys are nailing it though, so great job. Just I think it needs some work before it really feels like half-life.
Believe it or not, this game isn’t hl2. They don’t need to make everything exactly the same. If it works better for them, then they should do it, it’s their game. Change is good, and I think that this new soundtrack fits the theme of episode 3 quite well
I think it quite fits the snowy enviroment pretty well, also this isn't half-life 2 it shouldn't have to be the same they could bring back the old combat from 1 with physics, and the combine.
