I used this as my theme for my trip last year to Oregon. Once in a lifetime trip - met a lot of good people, did a lot of epic things, and saw some magical things. This song encompasses that cannot be said with words. Bliss and peace.
Otherworldly in the most beautiful way. I hope this song is remastered one day in modern quality so it can be listened to without crackling in several parts all throughout the song at higher volumes. I've tried several different speakers, peripherals, and different uploads of it. Unfortunately, the depth-of-sound-quality problem is within the origin of the song itself. Still... absolutely incredible, truly eternal song. If there's one song on the Internet that deserves remastery in maximum sound quality and depth, it is this one.
It's really hard for me to say which track is my Stellardrone's favourite. But I can say that this one is so beautiful that it always touches me. Always.
1:00 "The spacecraft was a long way from home. I thought it would be a good idea, just after Saturn, to have them take one last glance homeward. From Saturn, the Earth would appear too small for Voyager to make out any detail. Our planet would be just a point of light, a lonely pixel hardly distinguishable from the other points of light Voyager would see: nearby planets, far off suns. But precisely because of the obscurity of our world thus revealed, such a picture might be worth having." "It had been well understood by the scientists and philosophers of classical antiquity that the Earth was a mere point in a vast, encompassing cosmos"
Probably Carl Sagan, in the song "Belt of Orion" there is a line from him, I recognized it from the line "before we make an apple pie, let's invent the universe" which is where "invent the universe" comes from.
Beautiful song and video. I feel sad that I cant go up and explore those new worlds... just walking on some unknown planet with stunning space scenery...
I can literally close my eyes and I float in an empty void where there’s so many stars and galaxies as far as the eye can see! Space is literally somewhere I can feel calm and let my worries to be drifted light years away. This is an amazing song, I’m so glad I happen to stumble upon Stellardrone! 🖤🌌🖤
Many years later, I come back to this track. I've found some good playlists for coding, but this track in particular really just gets me in the right headspace. It goes beyond productivity, though. For me it digs deep, and brings out thoughts and emotions that I might have forgotten. It's more than the sum of its parts. You've achieved something special here. Thank you.
I bought some Stellardrone albums 10 years ago, in lossless FLAC quality on Bandcamp I think, and I'm usually listening it on best possible quality. I love listening to all the albums in no particular order while I work in Photoshop, it boosts my creativity. Thank you Stellardrone, you're still an inspiration after all these years.
April 24th 2023, headphones and two very heavy shots whiskey on a Monday evening, I am now retired can I listen to this and everything is right with the world LOL just me and my big poodle zoning out in the rec room, right now life is so good!!
At timestamp 1:02, you can make out a person talking, after some searching on the internet I came across the supposed lyric behind his speech. And it went as follows: The spacecraft was a long way from home. I thought it might be a good idea, just after Saturn, to have them take one last glance homeward. From Saturn, the earth would appear too small for voyager to make out any details. Our planet would be just a point of light, a lonely pixel hardly distinguishable from any other points of light voyager would see; nearby planets, far off suns but precisely because of the obscurity of our world thus revealed... such a picture might be worth having. Amazing piece this is. Found it on accident, it was on a RUclips video in the background on someone’s quail hunting video in California. It’s mind blowing to think that stumbling across something on accident can suddenly have you exploring an entirely foreign music genre from what you’re used to.
When traveling though the different beautiful landscapes of space, like in the video, it makes me feel like I am home; Where my soul is wanting to be, at peace :)
Now the voyage to the stars has begun... the voyagers now in between the stars... we have became an interstellar species and will continue on our voyage throughout the universe... light years and light years must be past to find a new Earth... a new place... we can call home.
Your music has influenced the way I think in a very unique way, thank you stellardrone. I love your signature arpeggios, and those smooth bass lines, the layering and textures. Timeless.... If anyone likes this music do yourself a favor and watch "Inside the milky way" with stellardrone played in the background. It is unreal.
It's really hard for me to say which track is my Stellardrone's favourite. Practically all of them have been with me incessantly for years. They are not only beautiful and pleasant to listen to; they provide peace, balance. They are literally a cure for the soul. This gentleman doesn't know --- or maybe he does :-)--- how much good he has done to the world. As far as I am concerned, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
One of my favorite tracks ever. In fact, when I'm writing I tend to listen only to your music and I've mentioned you in a few books of mine. I went through a divorce during lockdown, through my own Dark Night of the Soul, and your music kept me sane. Whenever I can, I always try to share your music with others. I have to say that you're one of my favorite musicians ever. God bless you.
Oddly enough, this song came out on my 19th birthday, yet I only discovered it a few years ago during the pandemic. Oddly enough, 2012 seems like a century ago. This music really speaks of eternity. I'm surprised this was made almost 12 years earlier... It's so futuristic and recent! Just 3 years ago it seemed like an eternity to finish my PhD thesis, and now I'm in the last days of trying to get it ready for the first round of defence... Thanks for the music though!
Stellardrone you are a genius! I play your music all the time, I've been waiting for your next album and just today I discovered this new song...it has the same power as all the others! I searched your music for at least thirty years and finally here you are!! I think you are the best in electronic space music, keep up with your works and good luck, with your talent you'll go far!! Ciao
Hi, i came across your music some time ago and i definitely love it. Also i like this video and the covers of your albums as well. I'm sure that also you, like me, dream to fly with your soul in the deepest corners of the universe and lose yourself in that magnificent vastness. Thanks for your music! Greetings from Italy
This track is a masterpiece. Stellardrone produces the best ambient space music! I'll be very happy when new music is released. Thank you so much for all of the wonderful music you have made so far.
Even before I knew the name of the song was Eternity I thought it sounded like - *felt* like what I imagine it might be like after you have taken your last breath in this world and approach The Creator.
Truly beautiful, I love that it shares the same beginning chord as Billions and Billions. I cannot speak for others, but for myself it reflects a beauty and sorrow I feel about living in this century where there is such sublime wonder and natural-engineering on the biological, chemical and atomic level...yet the potential we have is wasted on trivial matters and greed. This is an escape to distant infinities we will never see beyond our mortal dreaming. Is the album finished yet?
I think if we could all look at the Earth from space and look at the sun, which is what makes life possible for all of us, then we would have a different picture of this beautiful planet. The song is awesome. There's something about thinking bigger, broader and limitless.

There it is! ( as he points at the distant dot) she may not be much to you, but to me, I know what she stands for. You want war? Sure, but it will be costly. I recommend peace, not for fear of life, but for fear of stopping an advancement so big, it requires your attention as well. We both built with sweat, blood and death of our own to reach this far. Do you really want to take it all away because we are different? We both need to combine our strength to reach further much like you did when you thought you were alone. Trust me, if anything has been taught in our history, is this. War stops progress. Go back to your leaders and inform them, not as a warning but as a sign that we are not a warring species, but if pushed, we will make sure nothing is left. If we are not allowed to share this universe, then you are not allowed to have her either. The future book of John C. Menzies. The Beyond.
