Edgaras Žakevičius aka Stellardrone is in my opinion one of the great latter-day composers. His music is far above most of the ambient and electronica genre it's typically classed with. He put this music out free. A great gift to the world for which he should be commended. I believe there are 10 albums out.

Speak to any Navy veteran who has served under 'darkened ship conditions' as we did on the USS Waddell DDG-24 off the coast of Da Nang in Vietnam from '68 to '70. When you can see with absolutely no other lights over an endless sea, from horizon to horizon, as a canopy of stars and galaxies move from east to west until daybreak, you'll know what I mean. The stars look so bright and close, one feels like if they could just jump a little bit higher they just might be able to grab hold of one. Then there are the meteorites that shoot through the sky unexpectedly! There is no experience like it! If you're young, join the Navy, see the world, and the Universe! Stay safe! Ciao!

quite a different genre but atmospheric black metal has some bands that transport me in a similar way, though it's hard to find the right ones for that spacey vibe. once you find them though... try celestite mirror by wolves in the throne room

I love how at the same time the songs are an absolute joy to listen and to focus on but also they are boosting the focus of mine so despite them being so catchy they are also something I listen to when reading. As if focusing becomes easier with ambient.
I would have given anything to have had Between The Rings on August 21st 2017' when the sun went into totality during the eclipse. I close my eyes now and remember that mind blowing moment of seeing totality for the first time as our mighty star sliding behind our moon and that sight in the sky. Getting to actually see from our perspective, The Darkside of the Moon. I now time that mental moment to the 24:10 mark and I get a rush and chills over me imagining that sight with this music. As I plan to see it again in 2024' I now have the music to go with that moment. Thank you Stellardrone and Psychedelic Muse. We did have a special music effect that day in Tellico Plains Tn as a local DJ brought out his big setup and played great space music all day but as totality began to draw near, he timed the start of Pink Floyd's Darkside of the Moon so that the final track Eclipse started the moment totality began and ran almost the whole time as totality was a few seconds longer than the track but it was so special.

This album moves me more than any other. I feel like it's not only the best I've heard in this genre but one of the best albums I've heard in my life. Every song is great. Really powerful stuff. This and carbon based life forms hydroponic garden are the two best albums I've heard in this genre

Supreme record! I wanted to hear other songs with the same album as "breath in the light" only to see the songs 1 - 3 are my favorite tracks by Stellardrone and the 2 other songs are on par with them. Having this music helps me feel sad and unlock some emotions that got locked by traumas years ago, feels like having a big good emotional shit after a long constipation.
More an EP with rare trax than a new album. I knew the songs already before the release of this album. But... like always a fantastic work. Would see Stellardrone live performing. Peace!!!
