I taught a man named Tony on my mission in Oregon who I 100% believe was possessed.
He called us to his house, in one voice (like his true self) was saying that he had been haunted and tormented by demons, begged us to be baptized, and seemed sincere, in another voice (almost like a different person, switching back and forth) would lean back in his chair, give us a sly look, and mention our doubts, fears, and traumas that no one knew. When my companion and I noticed this, we would bring it back to the truths of the restoration and the gospel and testify of Joseph Smith, The First Vision, The Book of Mormon, Baptism, and the Reality of Jesus Christ and his teeth would start chattering uncontrollably. In an instant, he would snap back to his “true self” and start pleading to be baptized.
We left that day truly shaken. He began calling our phone at all times of day and into the night. We had to block him and pass him off to the Elders.
On my mission my companion and I had to perform “exorcist” if you want to call it that. This middle age woman was not in her right mind and when we were talking to her her eyes kept rolling back in head my companion got out the white hand book and performed a prayer. The moment my companion said amen she passed out and woke up about 2 minutes later completely fine. I still have nightmares of that 10 years later. But it actually strengthened my testimony!

My dad had a friend that served his mission in an area where they had a lot of voodoo His companion broke his leg they were teaching a woman who said she was a witch she offered to heal his leg he accepted and for about a month his leg was fine but he wasn't able to use his priesthood without it feeling wrong he eventually had a priesthood blessing from his Mission leader who commanded the evil spirit to leave his body after the blessing he felt right with his priesthood again but his leg was again broken! 😳

The exact same thing happened to my great grandfather. He broke his leg in an accident, Protestant minister offered to heal it, and it worked. He walked fine for a few days but the incident really shook his faith, he asked for a blessing and the mission President felt inspired to include casting out evil spirits as part of the blessing. Immediately he felt the weight lift off his chest, but he could feel the pain in the broken leg again, and it was in even worse condition from walking on it those last few days.
It's crazy how that works Satan really does work in imitations
I've heard that story but it was a missionary going to a pentecostal church... similar to how they discussed multiple sources for history etc I now don't believe any of those are actually true and just myths passed along.
@@netherquartz8946 I’m sure there’s at least one version that actually happened, and then as it got passed along a bunch of different versions developed.

These stories are more frightening than most horror movies.
25 years ago, on my mission in Quito, Ecuador, one of my companions was possessed for three days. I still have nightmares from the experience. I think some of the stories in this video might be dreams and possibly sleep paralysis. With that said, possession is very real and under the right conditions, satan and his minions have a certain amount of power to control our surroundings.
I experimented something similar in my mission. It was horrible. The adversary is real.

There's a RM I know who served in England. One of his homes on the mission was a haunted 17th century house. It had been divided up into apartments, one of which was for the local LDS missionaries. There was a lot of weird events happening in the weeks before the final incident. He would see shadows on the wall at night where no people were present. He felt like the was being strangled by someone one time. The final straw was he got pushed forcefully out of bed during sleep. He was pretty injured and thought he had broken his arm. His companion was a sound sleeper but eventually woke up and the two got out of the apartment never to return.
My nephew eas a RM and he and his companion were awake Ed to evil Ted eyes staring at.them from the front door window. And they both were told by the holy Ghost,.that this is an evil spirit . They were told to pray and cast it out. And then go to bed . And it would be gone by morning. They said as soon as their heads hit the pillow they were asleep and in the morning it was gone , and never came back.
Dude something similar happened to my best friend when he was on his mission. Satan doesn’t play around.

I know a female RM who told me when she served in Mexico one home was a nice house that had been renovated into apartments. They both saw the same ghost, individually and then together one night. It was an old man that wandered the house and apartments during the night. Other tenants had seen the same thing. They left shortly after for another place to live.
What does LDS think about ghosts ? A missionary told me people cannot become ghosts after death.
@@TylerDaSaint Many members do see ghosts. Often they also get visitations of some type from recently deceased relatives. That second part may not be ghost like but it shows the living and dead are not that far apart.
I remember reading these on my mission from history if the church. My companion and I couldn’t believe it haha
The building in Elder Kimball's story was still around when I served in the Manchester Mission (I assume it's still there). Walking past it was part of the Church History tours.

You missed one from, the event when Joseph Smith said that 2 Thessalonians 2:3 had happened in a conference that was held.
Well, I believe these things. Evil exists, and bad people can harm others , specially in South America. Some people know how to do real witchcraft.
Also the spirits can cause bad pains and nerves
I am an active member of the church ( Scotch Plains, NJ) this experience happened to me
I was having terrible headache and I felt my face was twisting. I did not have high blood pressure, but I was feeling sick.my husband said let's go to the hospital. I told him before that I need a blessing. I went to my. Neighbor's house ( my husband is not a member) he told me that he was going to pray with all his heart as he was alone. During the prayer , I bow my head, close my eyes. I felt and heard something like a snake. Coming out of my forehead!!! Between my eyes .
I told the bishop , did you see that ? Did you hear that? He didn't.
My headache was gone. But I went to the hospital anyway. All test were normal. I remember that experience very clear
Last year, I was home alone in my house when I heard someone knocking on my door, I was in the middle of showering so i was buck naked. The knocking turned in to pounding on the door, my dog was going absolutely wild barking like a maniac, by the time the pounding stopped it had been 3 minutes, I could Feel This absolute HORROR feeling surrounding my house, I was petrified. I grabbed my gun and did a sweep of the home for fear someone was inside. When I went outside I asked my neighbor (who was outside) 1st how long have you been out here? To which he replied the last hour. I then asked did you hear someone pounding on my door? To which he replied "No" I drove immediately to the temple because I knew evil couldn't follow me there I then called my father to which he gave me a blessing, I felt better.
Later on the spirit told me it was an evil spirit trying to get in the house, but could not enter because it had been blessed. Also I think there is a lesson that god wanted me to learn. 1st You let the demons in your home, 2nd Evil exists, and is a real tangable thing.
Also I think discussing evil like this gives room for evil to take root in the mind. Like a self fulfilled Prophecy

The Sidney Rigdon 1831 account serves as some sort of evidence that Joseph taught the priesthood was restored by Peter, James, and John before 1834.
Um Peter James and John appeared to Joseph in 1829 about a month after John the Baptist came to Joseph.
@@netherquartz8946 I know, but some critics say that Joseph mentions of them only after 1834, claiming he made it up later, so this is evidence to the contrary.
This is a good thought but this specific account of what happened to Rigdon in 1831 wasn't recorded, I believe, until years later by Philo Dibble. So it might not serve as a pre-1834 account. There will be an episode about priesthood restoration coming out soon that explores some of the other evidence we've got, though!

I think the one unifying factor for any kind of demonic story is that through the name and power of Jesus Christ, any and all unwelcome beings can be cast out. Looking back at the story of Moses on the mount Moses 1:16 Get thee hence, Satan; deceive me not; for God said unto me: Thou art after the similitude of mine Only Begotten.
If you knew what you were making light of, you would pull down this video and at the very least redo it with a vastly different tone. I'm speaking from first hand experience on more than one occasion; as have other members of my family. If you could see through the veil, you would weep at the cackling of those demon hyenas. I hope you never experience anything remotely like the events you read about. Suffice it to say, enough people have endured these lickings, even in our day, that when we hear of and read of the stories you irreverently shared, we know exactly what it was like. It's no laughing matter! Many have fought the same battle that Joseph Smith fought when seeking answers to his prayer. Others have been put upon, because they are faithful to received answers. I've been enjoying your videos for some time now, but this one pulled you off the rails. As a life long member, I'm telling you now... those stories are not halloween fodder and should not be trifled with, my young brothers.

Maybe there’s a lot more demon activity happening today then we give them credit for.
I have a story. I served in Argentina. There are a lot of people that worship spirits and we ran into some satanic worship type stuff. A lot of this spirit worship came from a Brazilian religion called “umbanda.”
Anyway, often there would be these shrines on the side of the road dedicated to various saints or these spirits. Gauchito Gil (cowboy Gil) a drunk Robin Hood like character saint was a common one.
In one area my companion and I came across one of these shrines on the road. It had candles, bottles of alcohol, some sprit figures, cloths, etc. This one also happened to have stacks of coins 😂 . As we were extremely frugal, poor, and against idol worship lol we of course took the coins.
That very night our electricity shut off, our water shut off, and various other things stopped functioning or went wrong. We started to question if God was trying to send us a message or if we had done something wrong. Days later we realized that all this happened right after we took the coins.
We had already spent the coins haha, but we prayed and blessed/dedicated the house and sure enough everything started working fine again 😂
These stories are like other saints experiences, Genuine in the Satan and his ghouls are incredibly strong. These use whatever it takes to get you to cave. This is why we must have Jesus. His power and name are the only things Satan has to obey. Try dealing with evil beings and it ain't so funny. The more you strive for holiness, the more you will be attacked but can overcome.
