- We've been wanting to test Tualatin river and see what we can catch there. Main target was bass, but we did catch other creatures. Enjoy?

I put in in the next park down and paddle up to that park. Right where you were fishing is a muddy bottom in about 6 feet deep. Just up river it’s shallow and Rocky and faster moving water and then it slows down right there. If I don’t catch anything I usually swim right there, it’s only two or 3 feet deep under that dock in the summer. And that structure is where the country club pulls their water for the golf course. I paddle by that three or four times a week during the summer, and if I don’t catch anything I crank up the tunes hop out of the canoe and sit on a big rock in the middle of the river and lay back a few brews. I usually just catch smallmouth and squawfish. I’ve been fishing that area since I was 6. Worms work best, but an olive green 1.5” xwrap rapala is my go to.
Crawfish tails are one of the best baits for bass.
Great video! Have any single friends that like to fish!? 🤣
Haha not really
@@FishingWebers well shoot. Figured worth asking😁
Tight lines!!
The river is definitely fun. You sound so passionate about fishing. Just curious, how did you get so into fishing? Looks like you shop at Dick's often 😉 I have that same chair and I have that St. Croix rod of course. Also I have a black Huk shirt just like the one he's wearing (also got that from Dick's). Too funny. You should have fished with the crayfish. Wow that red color tells you what type of lure you want. I bet a red craw crankbait would do great out there. Great music choice too 😉🎣 See you in the next one. PS. This was a very fun video
My husband and I both enjoyed fishing when we were kids, so we decided to start fishing again and got addicted. It's nice to be outdoors and not sit on the couch all day starring at TV screen. I'm not sure if we are allowed to use life bait in this river I would have to check. I have a crayfish lure that I should of tried. Thank you for watching :)
That was fun! River fishing is where it's at 🤙
Bullhead and crawdad catch and cook! LOL, nice video Webers!
We kept a bullhead before and it was a challenge for me to fillet it.
@@FishingWebers Skin it then gut it then lop off the head and fry it
I am living in southeast of Portland, My sons, they love to see a live crawfish. Can you share with me where is the boat ramp you was as if you don't mind?
We were at Cook park in Tigard. Have you tried fishing at Faraday Lake in Estacada? The is crawfish there too. Most lakes in Oregon have crawfish in them : ) We usually catch them with worms : )
Good video thanks for sharing
Thank you.
Beautiful fishing *video,* congratulations is an amazing place, I loved it. 👍🎣
Hug and good fishing.
Thank you. Your videos are good too but I wish I could understand you lol
Great video guys! Man I’m super jealous, wish I could be there:) Tight Lines my friends!!
Thank you. Let's get on the water soon. Hope everything is going well with you : )
That looks like a great little spot! And those two bass were both largemouth bass:) also I like your Shimano stradic reel, I wish I had one myself. Great video.
Thank you. It's hard to tell if it's a smally or a largemouth when they are that size lol
Thanks, we'll try to be more accurate next time.
Лепота! 👍
I'm headed to the Tualatin river today to fish behind Cabela's. Checked out your video to get an idea of what it may look like. Great video!
Awesome, hope you catch lots of them. It’s very pretty on Tualatin river. Thanks for watching : )
Do any good back there? I fished from tualatin park to cook park today. Didn't land anything but hooked up on something big smallie or pikeminnow.
I can't tell you how many times we all sit around arguing about where are we going to fish. What is fishfinder? It sounds like we need it. That is a beautiful spot. Wouldn't mind just sitting on the bank and watching the ducks. I love the idea of barbless hooks.
I didn't name the app properly, just realized that. It's a fish finder app called Fishbrain. There is a map where you can see what people caught and where. When you catch a fish you mark your location and share a photo of your catch. It's free to use and it helps us find fishing spots.
@@FishingWebers That is so super cool. Can't wait to tell the boys. Going to use it this weekend hopefully.
Locations on there are not always accurate but it does give you general idea of what people catch in the area. There is another app called Fishing Spots, but Fishbrain seems to be better and it's more popular.
@@FishingWebers Anything would work better than just driving about. We drove all day once and ended up at Benson Park on the Columbia. Pretty but no fish.
I've been wanting to try Benson park, that's good to know that there is no fish. For next video we are wanting to try Sauvie island : )
Great video !! That mud bug would be good in a pot!!!
Lol not enough
Great river. Have pulled 17 Bass out on a Tuesday after work with worms. That's Cook Park. Offseason fine but that is paddlers paradise in the summer. Way too many people.
Nice. We have more luck fishing on Tualatin with worms. Cook park is fun. I think the gates are closed right now. You can still fish there?
Like 👍
I lust spent the day at that same spot 6/13/20
Nice, it’s a neat little area.
