No way the Orioles give away all that talent for a 2 month rental in Ohtani. He isn't going to sign in the off-season with the Orioles. I think he prefers to stay on the West Coast. I do think if they do make a move at the deadline they will trade prospects like Kyle Stowers, Connor Norby, Joey Ortiz, and current mlb players like Jorge Mateo, Urias or Ryan Mountcastle. No way they get a Frontline starter. Grayson is already pitching much better the second time around. It's gonna be like Roch said. Big time bullpen peice to shorten the game. Probably another outfielder based on Cedrics recovery.
I would too, but at this point, with injuries to guys like Bieber and teams like the Padres taking their players completely off the market, there are limited options and a lot of other suitors. Despite the Orioles having the most to give, they shouldn’t pay a premium just to add for the sake of adding. I used to feel the same way because I thought there would be a guy they could get for relatively cheap, but that’s not likely to happen now.
