- In today's video: Applying and reviewing Roux Fanci-Full Color Styling Mousse. This is a great product for anyone who wants a new hair color that will come out in the first wash. Great product for Halloween, an event, or if you just want to see how you'd look in a new hue. 4.4 stars out of 5 due to the texture of your hair after use (however this texture can't be seen on camera).

Just a quick tip, the reason the texture is hard and crisp afterwards is only because you didnt wet your hair enough! It needs to be just after washing and lightly towel dried, and put in immediately to avoid crispness and annoying texture! Then you will have the fluffiest hair! Think of it like paint :)

It will blend gray. A temporary color cannot cover gray.

So after watching this tutorial I decided to try the Roux color refresh mask, its different in application but give the same results and last longer! I just ordered more packets off EBay!!!

I have been coloring my hair blonde since I was a teenager and thinking about going to a more natural color (dark blonde/light brown) but too nervous to actual dye it dark. Would it be good for covering up a blonde spot (My hair is black like darker than jet black BLACK) and I have a blonde patch that I need covered for work. I've used btz's mousse before and love it but it only comes in unnatural colours.
Wow. if they're going to say it's black, they should make the mousse more potent, not so diluted. Any way, I think it worked out well for your case. It make your hair dark brown borderline soft black and I think you look beautiful like that. Pure black would have been too hard and rugged looking.

I loved this product, used it for years and they just changed the formula. Make sure even if you have used this before , try a test sample. It is much harder to washout, colors are darker, and it stains. So sad because this was my go to product for close to 10 years.

Hi! I just watched your video and thought it was very informative. I was wondering how long it took for you to get back to your natural color before you applied the mouse. I am shooting a movie and they want me to color my hair but I am very hesitant with a darker color. Was your hair able to go back to your original state?

Thank you, so glad you liked it! Yes I am doing a keratin treatment every 3-6 months which temporarily straightens it :)
Thank you for all of the advice below. I believe it would stain. I would also think if it rains; you are going to have color all over your shirt. These seems like a new version of the old "Fanciful Rinse" in the Large Grey Bottle like my mom had. Anyway. I do not think this is a good fit for me. What I used to use and they do not carry it anymore was call "Redkin Babe Spray" I am sure I have that spelled wrong however, when you blonde hair need a little deposit because it was it between coloring you could spray it on and it really worked. Then there was a can called "The color Chamber" This device was a bottle like moose that had light to medium to dark. It was also to color those in between colors. This was a really difficult thing for me because it came out if full color; so I never really knew what I had colored and what I needed to color. It also left a mess in my shower, on the shower door, on the curtains etc. So now I have used a color depositing shampoo and rinse. You have to be very patient and it seems like it takes forever. However since I recently had surgery I cannot dye my hair and the wig thing right now for all of the caps etc is not good for me either. So you can if you just want to do this for one day; you can buy the root spray; spray it all over your hair get 2 cans most drug stores buy 1 get 1 1/2 off. So you are really paying $12.50 and it will color your hair all over for one day:)

Applying with brush time-consuming and not necessary.Should just apply to damp hair at roots like a mouse and comb through :)
Sallys employees always say you might need 2 and that you could return the second one if you dont use it... its a sale strategy.

You can use it on bleached hair but it will be a brighter effect.
Your hair might be porous and it can stain your hair,it happened on my hair :(
did u wash your hair after u used fancifull？ or u just dry your hair？ I used fanciful and then i washed my hair，the color it didn't come out.

Does this color go away in one rinse?
It does not. I just washed my hair two days ago and it’s still there. It’s lighter but it did stain my blonde pieces to green. I got it in the dark chocolate color btw

You can apply it directly to your hair and wash it gently, no need for a brush. lol
Needs to be damp when applied and it will turn darker because the porosity will be equal throughout! The lighter colors in your hair are where the product was missed!

This product doesn’t work well on dark hair the lighter the hair the better but to me the spray can hair color works much better.

It absolutely DOES STAIN; ears, face, neckline, hands... Also stains sink counter, floor mats, towels... And NEVER apply to your brows - they have eyes beneath! Smh bcs this vid is chit!
It does indeed! I've used it for years and I mix a couple of colors together in a bowl and brush on with gloved hands! Someone said that the newer ones are turning hair purple! :)
