You should have included an explanation of the LabConfig/BypassTPMCheck registry key as well. That's what allowed me to do an installation from scratch on VMWare 16.
Given that you're the first person to mention that, I think it's safe to say that even with the publication of this video, most people are running modern hardware that supports the Windows 11 requirements. Unfortunately, I cannot troubleshoot/predict every possible issue that might arise as I only have so much hardware to test. Still, I appreciate you, and any community member for that matter, who provides solutions to problems you face to help people in a similar situation.
Sure you can but you need to be very careful that your VM is fully isolated. Many hypervisors not installed on bare metal (i.e., VMware Workstation, VirtualBox, etc.) will have features allowing you to share various things with your host system, which should be turned off if that's what you are doing. Also, remember that some malware is designed to spread, so you need to protect any other system on the same network.
Seems to me there is a way to create a "system image" of an existing win11 install that can then be uploaded to a VMware VM on Linux Mint, but I cannot find the process anywhere, can you please help?

If you are following this video exactly, then you are only using a trial license, not a "real" license, so it will eventually expire. If you are putting something else for the license, then you need to make sure you are using a valid license.
I highly recommend that you contact Microsoft directly if you are going to be licensing it to other people or companies. The last thing that you want to do is run into legal trouble doing something like that.
RAM is not used for storage like you are referencing and you cannot allocate all your RAM to a VM as your host operating system still must have resources to operate.
You need to know both Windows and Linux in any tech career field, but especially IT and Cybersecurity. One of the main reasons why you use virtual machines is so that you can test things without breaking your main operating system install.

Enabled secure boot. Yhe rest i clocked next. I see it selected 2 processors 1 core by default but that can be changed. Duribg install of the 23H2 iy forces Microsoft account, so you have to edit the specs, so go to "Edit virtual machine strings" anf disable "connect at power on" yhen you can install, buy if you already were at the ibstall you have to testart the virtual machine. Go through the ibstall process. When you are at the log in screen. Prrdd Shift +F10 this will how the command prompt. Type: OOBE\BYPASSNRO And conyinue with the install.
Two of the most common problems that can cause this are: -You haven't given the VM enough resources based on Microsoft's recommend system specifications -You haven't properly setup your host system for virtualization in the BIOS (especially common if you have never ran virtual machines before)
Is it fairly easy to create additional virtual machines? Can you just clone the current one? Additional question, does it matter WHERE you install the Virtual Machine? At 1:48 you show C:\wherever which I assume was added to give your drive some privacy, but wondering where you would typically want to put it.
Some virtualization allows cloning/copying but you'd need to remember to change things like the IP address, hostname, etc. You can store virtual machines wherever you want and that's why it says "wherever." In an ideal world, you'll store them on a fast local drive like an SSD so performance doesn't suffer.

If you download the ISO directly from Microsoft as done in this video then you will have an ISO file, not a RAR file. If you are getting a RAR file, I have no idea where you are trying to download Windows 11 from.
Which troubleshooting steps have you tried or did you research? Reinstall vmware, make sure all drives are installed, restart system, reinstall vm are all possibilities.

Hello! I have made literally 50 virtual machines in my life (all mac with a ton of more steps that this) but I can't FOR THE LIFE OF ME, get out of the EFI timeout thing.
I spoke to soon and figured it out: Power on the VM and immediately press ESC or F2 (depending on VMware's version) to access the VM's BIOS/UEFI settings. In the BIOS/UEFI menu: Navigate to Boot or Boot Order settings. Ensure the CD/DVD Drive (your ISO) is set as the first boot option. Save and exit (usually by pressing F10). OR If network boot isn’t needed, you can disable it in the BIOS/UEFI settings Go to the Boot Options menu. Disable Network Boot or move it to the bottom of the boot order list.
I'm not sure what you mean by you can't get the system to make the PC, but the number one reason why people have issues on videos like this is because they aren't following the instructions exactly as provided.
Tutorial isn't helpful at all, I've had to loop around to fix many issues that weren't covered in the video, possibly because of different windows versions.
Just to clarify...you used different operating system(s) or software versions and/or different settings than provided in this video, and you're mad at me because you didn't get the same results? Interesting perspective! Given the amount of people who are still using this video successfully, my guess is the issues you are having are due to your specific setup or the things that you are doing. That said, I can't cover every random scenario that can exist, even attempt to help you or see if I need an updated version of the video if you don't give useful feedback/information. It really doesn't matter which hypervisor software that you use because they all work about the same. Hyper-V and Virtual Box are popular free alternatives.
I've never seen that particular error, and it's a little more difficult to troubleshoot if I don't see it. Since a few people have the same issue, I recommend googling the specific error and seeing the results. Also, make sure to let us know if you find a solution!

That is outside the scope of this video but you just have to go download one. VMware, Hyper-V, Virtual Box, and Parallels are all popular choices.

It sounds like you are using something such as a plugin or VPN to block your location. Have you tried asking Microsoft?
