The hunt is real! I spend hours and hours each week, combing through thrift stores, estate sales, auctions & flea markets ... to bring home the goods and prepare them for selling in my Ebay store, and on Facebook Marketplace, which fully supports me.

A tip...I put used dryer fabric sheets on the back side of my fan with it running. It helps filter the air and smells nice.

For the packing materials, I’d get a large cloth bin on wheels like they use in hotels for laundry? Dump all the packing materials into it and roll it to any corner you have space at the moment.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. You’re so good at what you do. The care you take with the items you sell along with your clean organized basement is very impressive. I could never deal with that much merchandise!!!!
Lighting: watching you turn on individually basement lights, coupled with past comments about having darker areas after the shelving shift, leads me to make a suggestion. If/when you have additional lights installed, talk to the election about adding centralized light switches at/near the bottom of the stairs. It isn’t usually too much work to interrupt the wiring between the electrical panel and one light fixture on each breaker circuit and add a bank of switches.
You don’t loose your ability to pull a string, to turn off individual lights (once the switch is on) that are rarely needed, but do add the convenience of one group of switches all located in one box, to power up all the daily used lights at once.
It can usually be done by running 1 wire from the first light box over to the new switch location, for each circuit, without disturbing the rest of what is there.
The bedroom looks serene, and the tub is your own personal spa beautiful
Karen, Can you screw some hooks into a ceiling beam to hang the packing materials? Then you can still have storage on the floor area. Or maybe above the sinks?

Hang the trash bags with the packing material from the ceiling with a small slit cut near the bottom of the bag. You can pull the packing material out the slit and have room to store things under the hanging bags.
Disinfecting Shoes: you mentioned using Clorox wipes. Have you ever looked into using spray products like those used in Bowling Alleys for rental shoes? Amazon lists several like: Microban and Purfy and had them on sale for Prime Day. It might be faster and be more effective, as far as coverage inside the shoes.

Hi Karen, Possible solution for the dark area in your basement. Try the Energizer Puck Lights, there are other brands but I have this one -so I can say the light is quite bright. They are small disc shaped lights that use batteries. You can mount them to a flat surface or even just place on a shelf. The offer very good lighting and also comes with a remote control. Great video and great sales.

Roger and Karen, I just love all yall have done to yalls new home, absolutely beautiful from top to bottom. Another thing you can put on the fan downstairs is a dryer sheet. I'm so happy for you both. I agree with you about people are shopping more at home or while they are at work, to keep from getting out and moving around in this heat. Displaying Stock on Personnel Shelves: I also put pieces I really like (wall art, carvings, duck decoys are some current pieces) on display until they sell. W I do, I just code the Custom SKU Block on the listing as: On Display or On Display in Office (or whichever location it happens to be in). 😊

It always impresses me how well you take care of your inventory. I know so many resellers who could learn a whole lot from you! I’ve watched resellers who have inventory shoved in drawers, closets, dirty basements & garages. It makes me not want to buy anything from them because I’m not sure how/where the item was stored. Seeing you care enough to cover your inventory with plastic, store things in plastic bags, & covered bins & the additional effort you make to keep things at a stable, temperature & in low humidity makes me totally confident that anything I would buy from you will arrive in great condition! Maybe you can hang your paper and packing peanuts from some sort of dispenser over your shipping table? Or over your boxes?
I like the Community Aid thrift that is right down the road from that Goodwill better. I also ate at that same Panera this past Tuesday. I did score a wool Ellen Tracy coat and a gorgeous tweed Donnybrook coat at that same Goodwill for 2 each this week so I was happy. It was my first thrifting trip in Lancaster since having a Total Knee Replacement 3 weeks ago.
The economy is doing better than expected and consumers are purchasing more.

Your low stocked goodwill store is no where near how low stocked the 5 goodwill stores available to me,compare that mine are always stocked with less than half of what todays store had & most items are chipped, cracked, missing a head, hand or foot. Clothes are ripped,stained &faded. You are soo lucky that the state/area you live in has great thrifting/ wonderful items & variety. I keep saying , plan a thrifting vacation & go where thrifting is the treasure hunt Karen always speaks of…One day😊

Congratulations on your marriage to Roger, I wish you both the best. We just had Terminix come this morning to spray for tiny ants. The guy also left us some ant crack as my husband calls it. Works wonders.
I always just use cinnamon and sprinkle it all around the doorways from the outside as well as on the window sill in the kitchen. I've also found that taking some dish detergent and putting it in a spray bottle with some water that all I have to do is spray and all the ants die and so do the flies
The first summer in my new home, an army of carpenter ants poured into my home from the corner of my sunroom. My grandmother (aged 95) told me to mice some powdered sugar and boric acid together and set it in a shallow jar lid. The ants took the sugar/boric acid mix back to the colony and it killed them with in 48 hours.

Storage Bins: Back when I worked for an auction house, I would buy up 1 or 2 “Remaining Lots” each auction and select those with good quality bins. I’d buy the lots without looking closely at the contents, just for the bins. For $10-25 per lot, I might get 10-15 bins. The contents were like opening packages Christmas morning. Back then I needed large numbers of stackable bins for emptying Storage Units and buying Estate loads each month.
Lidded bins made transporting the contents easier to stack in my enclosed trailers. Though I source much less these days, I still watch for on-line auction lots that include good bins, because my favorite mid-size bins run $20 each these days. 🙂
What online auctions?
@@mariaroldan4200 Hello, in my area west of Seattle, we have a few local auction houses, as well as some nationwide auctions that will mail small items (usually about the size of a Medium Flat Rate USPS box, but some will use UPS or Fedex too). Those Sellers either go out and set up sales for estates and folks who are retiring or moving away or they take general consignments from a variety of separate people, to build an auction. Some companies do the auction set ups, but use other "Host" sites to run the sale locally or Nationwide.
Some of the auctions are for larger items, which are usually local pick-up only. Some are strictly listings for small mailable auction lots or individual items. Before the pandemic there were also auction houses that were hybrids. They had an in person crowd attending the auction, as well as on-line bidding at the same time. The crowd competed with those on-line buyers. Small items could be mailed, while larger items went to those in person bidders. Which all such auctions you want to watch their specific terms about what they will ship, how they indicate it and what it will cost to ship it out.
One of the Nationwide auctions currently running is Max Sold. Another is Auction Ninja. Both of those are "Host" sites, which are web sites that manage the bidding and payment processing, but the actual lots are set up and held by other sellers/companies.
In our local area, we also have a few sites like Sound Auction Services. Their auctions tend to be a mix of large and small physical items. They will ship the smaller items/lots, but not the large.

For some odd “reason” here in California (Sacramento) they stopped doing color tag discounts. Ever since covid hit & reopened there have been no discounts other than Tuesdays & Wednesday 10% off for seniors only. To top it off there prices are ridiculous most of the time…
Here in Sonoma County they started a centralized plan where all donations go to one central place where they distribute from.
Before Covid, each store kept their own donations and you knew where to go for the better clothes.
Now, they’re all simply junk. Very weird.
Hey Karen! The master suite looks like something out of a magazine! You are so talented! Lisa's daughter is going to love the tub with the disco lights! Regarding the TV/VCR combo...we had a small one when my granddaughter was a toddler. That little thing was like her own private movie studio! The 'TeleTubby' videos were the best babysitter ever! Lisa's daughter will soon be old enough to babysit for folks. Are you sure you dont want to hang on to the tv/VCR combo and all those Disney tapes? She would be the most popular little babysitter ever!

I love the horse head book ends. I still mourn the big brass horse heads you said no to at a flea market awhile back. They were only $80 and were twice the size of your horse heads. They were intertwined. Probably would have been a fortune to ship though. I even looked for them on eBay by another seller but saw nothing like them!
Greenmade brand 27 gallon storage bins are on sale at Costco for $7.50-a real bargain. Love that tub!! 😊💦

Women’s Plus sizes are usually 14-16W (X), 18-20W(XX), 22-24W(XXX). So, a 16W is not the same as a Ladies 16. The noise of your box fan was so quiet I think you could leave it on during videos. Yes, plastic comes from oil. Oil is refined into ethylene and propylene gases, which are then added back together into polyethylene and polypropylene and other plastics. Maybe your sales are up simply because your viewers loved seeing the moving/remodel/wedding videos and then went to your eBay to support you & Roger.❤❤❤

About the Pyrex. PYREX in all caps is the vintage good stuff that can be used freezer to oven. The new version is pyrex in lower case. This pyrex is not made in USA & it has been known to shatter when used in the microwave or when change of temperature is too quick.

I dont know if you had the outside mulched. Ants can come in from the mulch. We had this issue and the ants were like a river coming through the living room. We called Ehrlich, they sprayed inside and out and found the nest in the mulch. I was so thankful for them. I was actually vacuuming piles of ants with the central vac which thankfully had a heavy bag inside.
I think any number in double digits is considered plus so size 10 and up is considered plus

Years ago I worked a part-time retail job at a store for plus sized women. It was 14 and up.
I had a storage issue also. I used nets and hung them like hammocks close to the ceiling and stored my packing material. It worked out pretty good. Just an idea.

I once had that same Christmas kitties pillow, and donated it to Goodwill (I live not too far from you, so it's possible it went to a Goodwill where you shop, if you didn't buy it at a yard sale).
