I use my VIC for my music endeavors which with the huge trunk completely holds my PA system and all the accessories and my keyboards and guitars fit perfectly in the back seat. I do have magnet signs for the doors so everyone stops thinking I’m a cop and now have received compliments from people everywhere I go. Such a fantastic vehicle. Thanks Mr Random for all your advice and knowledge on maintaining this classic timeless machine.
Def a must have for any crown vic owner. I've had mine for over 10 years. The only issue is if you adjust them too much back towards the engine, the tool will get stuck. I did mine with the headlights out and would pop them in periodically to check alignment. Took a few tries for sure to make sure you get the hang of how it works going up and down and left and right.
Thank you for all your videos! You have educated and saved me money. The Headlight Adjustment was great, as my 2011 P7B headlights were new but not adjusted. There is a lot of junk aftermarket items, such as universal wiper blades that you need to be a magician to make them work (if they don't break while putting them on). I watch all your videos. Would like to go to a Pantherfest someday after Covid, although I live in California.
Extremely helpful. Thank you. Granted I just used a pair of channel lock pliers. But you certainly helped me understand the function. Feels like a brand new car.
I ordered the same tool off Amazon for 15 bucks... glad I did... I bought some headlights from the Ford dealership directly and then adjusted them... works great until it gets stuck on the adjusting Bolt.
The same tool can also be made by attaching a hex head bolt into a ratcheting wrench. The adjusters are a 4mm head and most hex heads are 4mm socket heads. There was a guy here on youtube Panzer Platform that did a video on how to build such a tool for cheap, if these adjusters cannot be found or if they're too pricey.
I loosened mine on the right with absolutely no movement at all in the headlight. I finally took it to the point that it snapped the stud off. If I'm not mistaken that makes the headlight annual a n d void
the ball end of the adjuster just snaps into the plastic housing. Mine popped out and I wet it and pushed it back in. It's actually easier to pop the lights out than to go buy a tool.
I have that same tool and it's nearly impossible to get them pointed straight. The threads on the adjusters aren't long enough to pull the assemblys over far enough to point straight.
10,000th viewer! Great video, went out and got this tool and - holy crap... Constantly taking the headlamp assembly out to turn the adjusting knobs was clearly not the easy way to do this lol. So yeah, I immediately went out to grab one of these and couldn't be happier. Well, I take that back - do you know of a good place to buy seats for a '99 Grand Marquis? My driver's side front seat is pretty much done for, and I've been told that car seat re-upholstery is not cheap, so I'm guessing my best bet is to just find one for sale but finding one of these is not easy. Recommendations?
Nice one Mr Random, just want to know which other vehicle (s) headlights can fit into Crown Vic, should one not been able to get one in my country, please i need your feedback, thanks
Crown Vic Headlights only. The Grand Marquis and Marauder are too different with their headlights. Unless you wanna swap the header panel and grille, then you'll be able to use the other cars headlights.
Cool. I'm definitely getting it. Any luck on getting high beam to actually shoot out further from its regular setting? All it does it make the light get just a hair brighter but ni distance. What LED light are you using anyway? Thanks.
www.supernovaleds.com/index.php/9007-v4-x.html?fitment=73337 I use these in my 2010. To get the best LEDs while using the stock headlight housings, you want the LED chips to replicate the halogen filaments as closely as possible. If you get ones like the 360 degree ones, ones with BIG LED chips.... Those are not good. They will be bright, but there pattern will be horrible, they will scatter, and will blind other people.
Yes I'm certain good stuff out there for the stock housing light, but still pressing my luck on the aftermarket headlight. Looks really cool and regular LED light is not that bad; just sucks for high beam. Thanks and I'll look into it.
@@chrisislas1838 Ive never really delt with aftermarket headlight housings personally. I know a lot of Panther owners geet stock housings and have them fitted with projector housings and those work really well! Although, they tend to be a bit $$$.
I have a '96 Marquis and I have stock replacement LEDs from NAO. You can find them on Amazon. The low beam made my Zenon high beam obsolete - I ended up getting Led high beams. Zero lighting issues now and I can see in the rain
Great information as usual. I need a spare tire and rim for my 2010 and have not had much luck at the salvage yards. The town auto repair shop quoted $200. Do you know a less expensive alternative?
thats expensive man. autozone sells the actual crown vic rim for about $80 then you can have a new tire put on for $50 or a used one for $30ish...youd be looking at around $130-$150 but the best places would be junkyards or craigslist.....at the junkyards you have to check the trunks
Im struggling to find black clear headlights for my 2011 crown vic P7B that fit properly in purchased the spyder euro and i cant get them to fit in bought them months ago and cant return them now . so if anybody knows one that fits for sure please comment here on my comment
If the GT has the solid axle and an 8.8-inch diff, then they will interchange. Your Grand Marquis probably has a 2.73-to-1 ratio, which is just right for the 2-ton beast -- 2000 rpms = 80mph = 24 mpgs. As for the practice of differntial swapping to gain acceloration, -- BAD IDEA -- the cons outweigh the pros, especially if you ain't rich !
@@SJ_MERC No problem, Miguel -- It's not only possible, it's fairly easy. There's probably a U-Tube video on how to do that install. The 95 MERC still has the open diff, but I installed an Aluminum Diff Cover that has jck-bolts to allow for bearing pre-load, and holds 20 ounces more Royal Purple to keep things cool. Diff Cover was $100 U.S. at Amazon.com. Get a LUBELOCKER gasket to be CERTAIN that there will be NO leaks.
Can someone tell me where to get a new headlight covering for my vic?? Its really dull and has a hole in it...the one mr random has looks really clear...thanks
I ordered two new headlights from my local Ford dealership, I was going to order something from Amazon but a lot of the reviews I read said the beam pattern was different so I went with original parts, they charged me $87 for the left one and $97 for the right one.

If you're dead-broke, you may use a 5/32nds open-end wrench or socket.
The Lisle Tool is the best way to go, however.
