I play the trombone in my grade and trust me everyone takes all the stands before i can even put my hands on one. And my slide always locks its so painful. And I also remember in 6th grade like maybe 2 years ago the trombone and trumpets did this thing where when we played we had to be louder than the flutes because we always thought they were the goodie goodie two shoes and thought they were the band teachers favorites since they do "everything right" lol. So this competition went on for almost a little less than 2 years lol.
In 2017, I “played” the bassoon, I just pretended to know what I was doing and just repeated the same ten notes depending on the highs and lows, the teacher had no clue what I was doing, the band even competed in state and the judges couldn’t tell either, in fact they complimented me on how well I played the song and singled me out. The band class I was in got top 5 in that competition. The bassoon I was playing on had been stolen from the town just north of the school I was going to at the time, it was stolen by my bio mother 6-8 years prior around the time I was in karate, she was in that towns orchestra and “forgot” to leave it behind.
