Seriously man, these salsa videos are awesome. The easiest thing a person can do to up their Mexican cooking game. That and the red sauce that you already did a video on.
I watched this video yesterday. Went to store today and bought everything I needed. Roasted all just like you said and blended. This is definitely the best sauce I’ve ever eaten. Perfect for meats ext. thank you
Arnie, all of your recipes look SO good. You are easy to listen to and watch and I can imagine having you for my neighbor. I feel like I could come over anytime you are cooking out and just chill out and learn so much from you. You seem really down to earth and easy going! Keep the videos coming!!!
@@Gopherborn Those in the video were not too hot as usual, I think they are engineer hybriding them to mellow them out as has happened with jalapenos and serranos.
Same here, I love the floral taste of the hotter peppers but the heat destroys me usually! About a Serrano heat is what I've found I can handle without incident....lol
I watched this video a couple months ago and went immediately to the store and got everything I needed to make it. I wanted to come back and thank you for this wonderful recipe. I make it once a week now and am convinced this is the best salsas ever made. I now have my nephew and son-in-law hooked on it also. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us how to make it
Great man!!!!! A truly Great man knows that a Happy & Loving home always and i mean always starts with Great food made with Love….. you should have (20)Million Subscribers
I can’t even begin to say how GOOD this WAS…. because I just killed all 16 oz. I used 5 tomatoes, so it yielded me 16 oz and I just murdered the entire thing! Now I have to make more. Oh, I added cilantro in the blender…. Yum!
Glad I found you❤ My son loves hot salsa but cannot find any good ones at store. Might as well make the home made good stuff for his birthday in may. He will like your Chanel for these nice recipes. Thanks for sharing how to do these recipes. 🌼💐🙏🏽🌏
SALSA TATEMADA. I never knew there was a name for this style of salsa. I make this all the time. It’s the only kind I make. I keep it in the fridge all the time. I put all my tomatoes, garlic, Anaheim chilies and onion on a baking sheet and broil them in the oven until black. I then blend all with a stick blender. I deseed the chilies and tomatoes.
I just made this molcajete salsa, your mother's Spanish rice, and guac for my husband. He's typically very "meh" about my cooking but when he was eating he couldn't stop RAVING! Thank you for your recipes and for helping me impress a harsh critic! Would love to see more vegetable recipes so i can cook from my garden this summer!
Oh man o man, this salsa tatemada is mouthwatering. You sure have a superb cameraperson putting out such beautifully made videos. Please thank them for me and thank you too, chef, for putting out such good food! You just reminded me I need a good big molcajete. Love this kind of salsa because it looks so rustic and tasty. Thanks for sharing!
I recently went to the Mexican store and got a bunch of different chilies and fresh peppers. My first 2!dishes and salsa went perfect! Can’t wait to try this one. ❤
The first time I made the blender version I prepared it exactly as shown, but I didn't like it because the habanero made it unpleasantly bitter, so the second time I made it I omitted the habanero and used Moruga scorpion chili powder, which is a lot hotter so I was able to use less and achieve the same hotness level without any bitterness. This is now my go-to, ass kicking salsa recipe. so tasty and so hot! Thank you Arnie!!!
My favorite snack is Chips and Salsa. I love all your salsa recipes, and I love the hot stuff. The blended one looks like it'll be the perfect heat for me. I'll have to give it a shot!
My mom cooked like this when i was growing up. As a first generation hispanic I was not allowed in the kitchen so i never got to learn. Thanks for these videos!
I just came from a video where a dude made it in the blender and heated his molcajete, pouring the salsa into sizzle. The comments were savage, talking about his abuela rolling in the grave, and here I am, enjoying good food videos without complaints.
Top notch video, I tried the recipe and adjusted it to what I can find here in germany. Sadly the guajillo peppers are only found in very specific stores. But I just added in half another habanero pepper. Absolutely tasty!
Finally trying this salsa now, thank you for these wonderful salsa recipes. Habaneros peppers are the perfect balance for me between spicy and flavor. Usually the peppers past habaneros don't taste as good and mostly just seem to be spicy for the sake of spicy instead of spicy for the sake of flavor which is what I see in habaneros :D
nothing beats the molcajete, it just brings out a flavor you can't experience any other way. everything raw: -2 jalapenos -2 serrano -2 orange habanero -half a white onion -4 cloves of garlic -1 oz cilantro -2-4 red tomatoes -4 tomatillos -salt to taste Love your videos, Arnie. As a gringo venturing into the world of Hispanic cuisine, I thank you and appreciate your hard work!
Love your salsas Arnie!!! I tried blackening my vegetables in the air fryer in the garage to keep the eye burn out of my house, and it worked well!! Then transferred them to the Molcajete, and it is delicious 😋
This is probably your best one 🥇😍. Plus on the one version, you did habanero 😍 🏆, when I finally make mine I wanna use those, and with a serrano and jalapeno included with it though for flavor and depth in it, and obviously poblano's and/or guajillo's make sense too, to add that for depth of flavor (and color is spectacular). Great job man, thanks for a great basis recipe (point being, I'll probably be following recipe pretty close to yours), love the vid! 🔥🌶️🫑
Hello My recepy 2 tomatoes 1 tomatillo 5 garlic cloves 3 habaneros 3 Chiles de harbol 2 Chiles pasilla 2 dry chipotle All tatmados then blended With half cup of water Half cup of vinegar Salt al gusto
Arnie, been a member of a Mexican & Texan family. This is "real" /spanglish/ de niño te tenias que salir no solo de la cosina sino de la casa cuando mama asaba los chiles
Lovely reciepe! trust me! i tried it and loved it! my takeaways, try adding little bit of lime juice to balance out the chilliness Add cilantro, add couple of garlic green(green garlic) and a very small amount like a couple pinch of sugar! trust me you will love it! let me know if you did!
Loved it! I had to cut back on how much of the peppers I put in...but the complex flavors of the 6 peppers and roasted layer made such an amazing combination. Thank you!
I love all the content you put out, I’m always excited for new videos. These salsa videos are definitely my favorite. I’ve leveled up my salsa game tenfold with your recipes. I can’t wait to try that molcajete salsa. Looks perfect for weeknight dinners, or just a quick snack.
Gonna make that this weekend. Probably stick with jalapeño and serrano, the habanero might make it too hot. Plus i won’t skimp on the jalapeños and serranos. Looks great! A Mexican restaurant i frequented around 1980 had this type of salsa, and i’d have to hold sugar in my mouth to cool the flames, but it remains the best salsa i’ve had in a restaurant, and i’ve been to dozens of them.
salsa tatemada is one my favorites.. i don’t like to chunky. But still have goo bite size. I roast my tomatoes, garlic, onions, Serrano jalapeños, habanero on a gas grill.. you can make salsa tatamada at parks or at the ranch the ranch cooking on the grill you just have take the Molcajete..
My molcajete holds 5 cups. When I made my version of this, it was full. My family polished off the whole thing before dinner was even ready. Awesome recipe.
Oh man! I've always wanted to learn how to make this one. It's so good and waay better than the Pico de Gallo version you get at most restaurants here in the RGV
Those salsas look hot! Some milk would help after. My dad is 93, this year, and he remembers Buddy Holly. I like his music too. Texas has great musicians. Cheers, Arnie! ✌️
You are definitely the RUclips Salsa King. Keep those salsa recipes coming.
Will do!!

Thanks so much
I love the flavor of habaneros- the heat kills me, I sweat, I cry, my ears ring... but I keep going back for that FLAVOR! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wish there was a no-heat habenero
@@Gopherborn Those in the video were not too hot as usual, I think they are engineer hybriding them to mellow them out as has happened with jalapenos and serranos.
For sure buddy it’s bad but that taste is addictive
@@Gopherborn there is, actually... I grew them one year. From Burpee, if I recall correctly. They are great for making friends think you are Superman.

This is like that one salsa in a bag you featured once. soooo good, but so expensive so I am glad to make it myself now!
