A water pen would help help cut your napkin and help blend your edges in to your paint when deco podging. I learned that from another crafter. Dollar Tree and other craft stores and Amazon carry them. The bottles are beautiful.

I have a large collection of bottles and jars that I want to make pretty and sell at craft shows. My question is, what is a good sealer to put on them so the customer can use them and not destroy the design if they wipe them with an damp cloth of splash water on them?

I can't remember who said it on here, but you can use hairspray as a crackle medium, have you tried it? Thanks for sharing your creativity.
I do remember that! No, I haven’t tried it but I do think it would work🙂
If you check with a local bar, you can usually get more bottles than you can ever use.

They do sell well Carla. Most of these will be individual but I have made a few sets in the past that sold. I price them dependent on how much time and material I have in them.

Do you allow the mounded air dry piece to dry completely before attaching to bottle or project? Can you paint before it dries?
You can glue it on and paint before it dries. It actually works better that way and less cracking.
What kind of paint do you use before the crackle? Acrylic or milk or…….?.????? Do you apply the napkin with modge podge?????
Any paint will work. And yes, I use either mod podge or school glue.
What kind of clay do you use? Do you use only IOD clay or have you tried others? I'm super curious as to what people have tried to know what works and what doesn't.
I use DAS clay. It is cheaper than IOD and I like it better. It’s more workable and isn’t as bad to crack.

What are you using to adhere your napkins to the bottle
I’m using Modpodge.
What did you put on your mold before the clay?
I’m sorry. I used cornstarch.
Can you stencil with sharpie markers?
I’ve never tried that .
What are you using as your base paint? I can’t see the labels
I am using a green chalk paint that I mixed myself. I’m thinking it is a sage green color. I think Waiverly Carrie’s a green similar to this.
Do you put the price on your hang tags or are they purely decorative?
I put a small sticker on back of hangtag with price. That way if it’s given as a give they can just peel sticker off.
