For real!! The step by step (that in reallity is just a cut footage) is so good!! Already saw the build of the M4 DSG and the comission gearbox entirely HAHAHA
Helical cut gears in any mechanical system offer a ton of advantages including more surface area for meshing, more teeth meshing at any point in time, so each tooth holds less load, and the angle allows for smoother/gradual meshing, which makes then quieter. They're harder to manufacture tho, and it's not impossible to achieve similar sounding results with straight cut gears, but finding nicely meshing bevels/pinions is more difficult
I love the videos and I've subscribed and like all of them but ffs some things need some explanation mate:). I would love to know what exacly you did to the motor but I have not idea. If you don't like to talk during the videos at least write some captions. And I apretiate you're doing all this for free but since you are already utting the effort help us learn something. Anyways I love your videos and keep up the great work. I'm gratful as it is.
Thank you! And sorry about that, I never really intended for these build series videos to be tutorials, and I found that it's not that I don't want to narrate, but my brain is so goldfish that I physically can't while teching. Words come out but they aren't sentences 😅 Someone else asked for a national geographic style video, probably ironically, but I might do just that for the final video on this project, going back through my video parts amd narrating while putting on the finishing touches. I hope that'll provide the needed insight. ✌️
I used to use generic nylon 3mm ID washers because I was worried of excess metal messing with the magnet magic. I bought them off amazon, but now I just use regular gearbox shims. If it's bad enough I'll load some nylon into the printer.
@@dannyboy8231995 The top gets really thin so it may wobble if you have a bedslinger style printer. Either case, if you have print issues, max your fan when it gets up there and go slow.
This gearbox is too shiny
So much ASMR and dedication to do a precise shim job, I love it
1:44 Yooo, never seen anybody using tools like this to make the grip sit properly. That's cool

you ae the tech-ing goat, I'm going to apply all of you techniques when fixing my gel custom (Im in Aus)
You’re actually the most impressive tech I’ve ever seen
There are better ones!
Awesome job!!
You have to be one of the best techs on youtube. If i wanted a gun built would you do so?
I don't do HPA 😉

@@j-airsoft thank you sir. I was confused at first haha but i forgot my youtube name

YESSS!!!!111!11!!!1 ITS FINALLY HERE
just curious, does the spiral bevel and pinion do anything major for heat or efficiency etc or is it not that much of an impact?

Thats a fun way to use the pinion removal tool lol. The real question is how much do you play outside to actually use this build...
It was a D pinion 😭
Maybe when it's done I'll want to play outside more!
@@j-airsoft haha I hope so, my mk46 and sr25 just kinda sit on my wall. When ur done well have a outside field day
Also, where did you get that little vice tool for the motor??😅
brill armory, pinion puller
Where did you get that little tool for centering the motor to the gearbox??
3d printed, my files can be found on my GDrive, on my profile.
Awesome. Thank you
What shims do you use to fix the motor axial play? And where do you get them?

super!
Where can I get this alignment tool??? I have the plastic one from.brill armory but it is t ce tered anymore
my own design, files are on GDrive if you want to print it yourself, or have it printed for you
@j-airsoft Files, yes, please! 🙏🙏😭

@j-airsoft Thanks bro 🙏 going to print this in different colours and materials!

What's tape on motor shaft?
Aluminum tape. Keeps the motor from running away from the bevel, cuz the gearbox hole is bigger
