none of the initial steps of powering up were in the in-game tutorial of this train, instead you're told to throttle up, the tutorial keeps talking as if anything was happening but the train remains stationary

Yeah this is really confusing. Once I increase the throttle the x button on the controller stops doing anything. I can't manipulate any other controls on the dashboard. It's as if the game is bugged.
