RUclips says the video is a year old and its still the best video! It helped me to understand the train thank you. I got German heritage so of course I started there. Time for the big American beast's cant wait. Thanks for the video.
Thank you, so helpful m8 I truly love TSW 2 its by far my favorite thing to do on my PS4 things are a wee bit different on PS4 but it is easily sorted out, I hope you will continue doing videos on TSW 2 because there are a lot you can do with these different train and wagons, that will make the experience so much better :-) keep it up, and all the best... cheers from Kris in Denmark
Great info, I did have a question I have an Xbox when you went to the external view on free cam how were you able to zoom in and out and freely rotate the camera up down and left and right
Hey great video. Just picked this up and I’m really enjoying it but I keep getting an alert on my screen with a chime that increases and my gear indicator turns red until I reset the alarm and gear down to 0 then gear back up. My air seems fine not sure what I’m doing wrong any tips would be appreciated.
If your on "classic" camera controls it works but not on "immersion". Usually when you play the scenarios it automatically switches it to immersion controls.
Bringing up the internal camera on PC is done with the "0" key ("zero"). Subsequently, choices are made with "Arrows" and "Enter" 😉😉👌👌alternatively, using the scroll wheel on the mouse will zoom in sufficiently on your dashboard, so that you can operate both digital screens without using the camera menu, but still the camera menu will give you a better view of the screens.
Just used one of these engines in the Sand Patch Grade "Clear Cut" mission. First, you learn to run the turn table. Then the Clear Cut section starts climbing aboard 3 engines to complete yard duties with them. The AC44O0 was one of them. The engine is already running. I'm pointed to all the set ups to do before moving (by the game). My question is about the throttle. It gives you white (forward of 0) and yellow numbers (down of 0) in the lower right. Only takes off with the white/up movement of the throttle - like the GP & SD. BUT stops so much more quickly than the other two. 0% grade it only takes off at throttle #4 and if you back it off after cruising it'll slow quickly. Much more getting used to or am I doing something wrong?
The forward (white numbers) is your throttle. Down (yellow numbers) is your dynamic breaks. So there could be 2 reasons why it's slowing down quickly. 1) there could be bug in the game or 2) one of your breaks is set some where in the locomotives. I noticed the game doesn't setup the consistent correctly. Hopefully that helps and if your still needing help let me know.
I do not recall this mission at the Sand Patch Grade section, but I am in the lead engine, an AC4400cw a 2nd one behind me and a 3rd at the end. 43 car consist of full coal cars. I slowed down for the blue cone checkpoint, and although it was a roll through - the voice said continue on - the train continued to slow down and came to a stop. On this 1.0% grade I cannot get it going. It'll start to roll backwards if the throttle is below 3. I've pressed the sand button repeatedly and I can't get 0.1 mph out of it.
I’m playing this on PS4. I’m doing the very first timetable. First, I have to travel 13 miles to Hyndman. After I pass that, I need to travel another 13 miles to Manse. This is where my ac4400 slows to a stop and starts moving backwards. I am on a slight incline, but I can rev up fast enough to push through. I try sand and everything. It never breaks past 2mph before it hits 0 and backpedals. Do you have some advice as to what I’m doing wrong? I have the Ac4400 up front, a SD in back of it, and a ton of cargo to haul with no trains way in the back.
Lead is for the head end " lead locomotive" and trail is for any other locomotive beyond the head end locomotive. When you set up a locomotive for lead it controls the brakes for whole train including the other trail units "Locomotives" and when the other units are in trail they follow everything brake wise as the lead.
Good video very informative bro:).Definitely needs a title change!Maybe something like Quick/Easy Guide on All Functions for AC4400CW Train Sim World 2
Thanks for the like. The knowledge that I was able to pick up from working on the RR for a few years helpes out with my RUclips videos. I want to give that knowledge to the train sim community and maybe educate anyone that wants to work for the railroad one of these days.
Each mission has a different locomotive you operate. The scenarios are preselected but if you go to the time table section you can choose the locomotive you want to operate.
The game keeps, giving me scenarios where i have sd40s as trailing engines and they don’t seem to be compatible and the tutorials in this game are garbage

when you say hit the right stick to do the camera actions is there a setting for that because i can’t figure out how to do it

Thanks huge help......Subbed
Thank you! 👍
I play on Xbox and I pressed down the right thumb stick and it went to the external cam is there a other button you press with the right stick
Were you playing on scenarios? If so, it's probably because the game changes your settings when you play the scenarios missions.

Did you ever noticed a hissing sound in the lead locomotive like air escaping?

I have a video showing the best possible way to get over the hill.

How do you turn on the alerter? Can’t seem to find the safety device switch.
Open the fuse cabinet and there's should be a switch that says safety warning.
You can also hit Shift and Enter at the same time to enable the alerter.

Is all the locomotive set to run?
Yes. I can’t for the life of me figure it out. It’s always at the same stretch about 10-15 into my journey.
I've been stuck in the same area. Never go above notch 7 and make sure all the locomotives are switched to run. Use your sand.
Thank you! I’ll try this. Love your content.
Thank you. Maybe I'll make a video about your situation.
