do you know how to release some steam pressure, the safety valve going everytime i stop is annoying. I have the steam firing mode on manual so the temps shouldnt be going up while stationary.
@@gamerdeol2694 you would normally quiet her down by injecting water into the boiler. Especially if water is low. But don’t think you can do that in TSW atm.maybe turn the blower down a bit. sorry can’t be more helpful. 😕
The explanation of the steam pressure and steam chest pressure is very poor partly because it doesn't properly label the four instruments on the left of the interface. Anyone understand what they are?
I have noticed the brakes will slowly apply again if you don’t set the brake handle to a hook. There is a small hook for setting the handle in position and unsettling it to use the brake handles. If you look around where the brake levers are to release, unreleased it will say unset if you haven’t fixed it into position after finishing with brake levers. So Set the hook to the handle to stop I assume the back pressure building up in the brake pipe line which slow the train down because the levers haven’t been set in position. As I say this is a assumption but I have played around with this hook and it does keep the pressure from moving. I have played with the larger vacuum release handles as you do I have done this from the start because of the issues pressure, brakes and with not noticing the hook. Once I did the large vacuum didn’t really come into play until needed for its main purpose. I haven’t used the small vacuum handles as much. So I will after watching this tho. There are hard drive tho I’ve done about 73 miles hip hip admittedly on low pressure so hardly got up to speed,60 I’d say was the fastest on down hill grade but now I know a little more thanks to this. So let’s give it a go,,,I can’t be bothered trudging along at 30 to 40mph and taking all day to get anywhere. Hopefully I’ll be a try express driver after applying some of these methods. I do wander if they built the some type of physics in the loco as all locos behaves differently and at different times. Hence why they said locos was either having a good day and happy engine a bad day a grumpy engine. They was so alive so like I say have they built this into the physics of how the loco behaves if any at all?. I know they have with the sounds as if you driver the train wrong it’s sounds well not like a steam train operating properly,,,but when you do it will sing too you. So that’s good in a way from the sound guys at Dovetail. Get it right and the loco sounds good. Trust me I experienced it for about 5 mins,,,before I started to sound like a pounced tyre losing air,,then grinding to a halt,,,because I lost all steam pressure. Yey.
What you have to do is you have to go to all the red freight cars. And by the wheels find a lever called vacuum release and then put it to release. This will release the brakes on the red cars and then you’ll be able to get the train moving.
