I was recently issued a speeding ticket from a temporary variable speed camera, for apparently exceeding 70 mph, the police accuse me of doing 80mph. This was in a recently purchased car which had a defective bulb in the dashboard. I used my smartphones GPS odometer which stated I was travelling at just 72mph for most of the A12 journey home. By the way it was an offence reported to have been committed at 00:15 on a Sunday night!, with not a single vehicle in sight of me, from front or behind. It's a shame the police and government just use 'safety' cameras for revenue and not safety.

I have to ask why you don't travel at 68 instead of 72? that is only 4mph slower and means an extra 2 minutes longer on the motorway! Why do most people have this need to go just over the limit? I see it all the time. i just engage cruise control at a few mph under the limit and sit back and wait for the restriction to pass, in this case it wasn't even a restriction as 70 is the best it ever gets cos "Call me Dave" welched on his 80mph deal!

@Atheist Activist Speed Solicitor If you really are running it so tight that 2 MINUTES is make or break, I hope you never have to wait for an old lady or a disabled person to cross the road in front of you, OR god forbid, someone even stalls in front of you, causing you to lose PRECIOUS SECONDS!! How will you cope?
If you don't have cruise control then even more reason to give yourself a little margin to play with no?
Look i agree the limits are dumb in a lot of situations, but because of the cameras and electronics you just can't take the piss like we used to! So just accept that you got to stay under the limit or they gonna take money and eventually your licence off you! And they will come round and tak your stuff if you don't pay!
I never said it was fair, just that's the way it is and you won't beat them at this game unless there is a revolution and I don't see one coming soon, do you?

l once had a police car turn round and chase after me when he stopped me he said i was speeding because he had to travel at 40-50 MPH in order to catch me.l tried to educate him in mathematical equations and the fact that l did not break the speed limit but because he had to travel a greater distance he would obviously have had to go faster. Still got a ticket but luckily the magistrate attended a proper school and dismissed the charge.

Firstly a solicitor is cheaper than a barrister. Secondly you can learn from him and you might now how to defend yourself the next time. Thirdly your insurance premiums will be increased for 5 years (in my case by £100 - £150). Fourthly your quarter of the way to a ban. Fifthly you don't have a clean licence which might be important for enable you to work. OK?

I have a problem. I was forced onto action as a car tried to force me off the road. Got a speeding summons and in the first photo you can see the other car in my lane forcing me on the grass so I tried being defensive but that made him brake check me. So I put my foot down as I felt threatened and if I did not do what I did a bad accident. The other driver only went back into his lane when he noticed the police speed van . So under duress as I'm shocked that what the other car was doing . Please help

The reason its strange they ask for a guilty or not guilty before you can even see evidence. Is because they are defacto courts and once a pledge is made it implies your agreement to recognise the authority of a defacto court.
Essential you could say I conditionally accept to plead once evidence has been provided that you have jurisdiction over ( whatever it is you identify yourself as)

No motoring offence in particular exceeding a posted speed limit is NOT a criminal offence. Fact. This should make people very angry.

If you accept the fine and points even though you were not truly speeding, you have not had any new convictions have you. But if you fight the case and lose then you are found guilty and now you do have new a convictions and will have to tell your insurance would'nt you
So what dose one do risk paying solisitors fees and court cost when the fine is only £60 and as long as you have no points what is three points on your license, No they have us over a barrol And they know it. B....s Cheers, Pete

Surely a speed camera , records your speed and a few hundred yards Police officers take your details & hand a Ticket . So a Human has processed the Offence . All this Numberplate Recognition and Letter in the Post is NOT the correct Evidence , as the Driver has NOT been asked details 100 yards from the Offence and Details taken . ? So the Accused can write back " I don't want to Incriminate myself " . How can the Prosecution 100% I.D. the driver . If he wishes to remain Silent . ?

Who have you caused injury, harm or loss to?This guy, instead of chomping in the trough, should be challenging the lawfulness of the alleged offence on your behalf. We have developed an elaborate web of officious self serving over the centuries. He wouldn't defend your common law rights, it's not in his or the establishments best interests.

Hi Marcus, I find your videos and comment most intriguing. I am at my depths of despair over a couple of incidents with Gatso cameras and point to point cameras. I have am a have joined a volunteer group helping NHS as a community first responder. I absolutely was100% dedicated to this cause in my rural area. During training I was place in an unfamiliar area whereas I was clocked doing 37mph straight after a 40mph zone on a down hill slope. I was unaware of this. At 1.15 am the same camera flashed and I knew I was clocked. The incident happened during volunteering work. Now I have been suspended before being found guilty. Which I disagree. May I call you regarding this incident. I really don't want to just say ok fair cop as I may be wrong. Ray. Great advice sir. Please help

Why would a man and or woman employ a solicitor, when you could just find the fault yourself in their case and have it discharged, or better still ask them to give you proof man as done wrong, who making the claim against i, with a cease and desist notice. Nobody will take the stand and verify under oath and, or affirmation you have done wrong and cause harm to anyone, they never bring claims only complaints. You can return the summon, because it would be in correctly address, in the all caps name which is not i, " not know at this address" keep for further reference, job done and it cost nothing or next to nothing. Your could also rescind the offer to contract, why did you not tell them that one, you could simply follow one of them four options.
I am wondering if you are just fishing for business, because if you are genuinely a God fearing man, you would tell them the simple what is true to your fellow man and, or woman. Just like one of my favourite songs by Matt Monroe BORN FREE, we are all born free, you cannot serve two masters, God and man, in the long run, man deceives and lies and God is true and just. I know who i would listen to, and not some legal fiction that has no authority over man and, or woman, a legal fiction has no voice to speak and no hands to even write the claim. There always a gullible, devious, deceitful man and, or woman willing to try and pull the wool over our eyes, just find the name and call them out with a notice, a cease and desist notice, making them aware of their wrongdoing and forewarn them of the consequence, of i bringing claim against them. If they want to air their dirty laundry in public, i would summon them before my court and if they never answer the summon i would order a bench warrant to be issued and have them brought there in handcuffs if needs be. Why become the defendant, they end up paying one way or another, so become the claimant and become the prosecutor they always win at Queen`s bench. Always remember a claim once heard when both parties are present is CLOSED AND SEALED FOREVER. I would never go for a default judgement against a man and, or woman, against a legal fiction YES, they can never come back at you.

Speeding is dangerous everyone knows that, so don't speed and prevent some one being killed cause that some one might be you. If though you have been caught speeding which you honestly never intended and obviously just over the max write to the prosecutor and explain in detail adding this was a one off and will never happen again etc etc
