that's irresponsible of her, besides, how is that relevant? some pregnant women can't get out of bed without feeling dizzy and can barely walk (that's what happened in my case)

It's not so much the price of the Range rover that makes it an expensive vehicle, it's the repair bills.
In Russia to get anywhere near a luxury car you either have to be a corrupt person with contacts or a family member of said people. They are literally living above everyone else and don't feel the pressure of law or social norms. If the ticket for a violation was 10$, people would be driving on sidewalks too.

Are the police really not allowed tp write a traffic ticket? They just stand around and watch illegal activities unless the traffic police show up? Bizarre
"Democratic" countries decided to protect evil people. They spare every coin on cops, they don´t care about their citizens.
Separate traffic and 'other' police is quite common. Many countries have this division.
@@xxwookey We also have traffic police and "normal" police, but every officer is trained to do all, and if a normal cop sees a traffic violation and he is not engaged otherwise, he can and will write the ticket.
The same way, if a traffic cop is the only available cop, and they have a robbery or shoplifting for example, the traffic cop can be sent to that task.
They have their normal area they work, and specific laws they enforce, but when it comes down to it, it's more like a "Your job is in this department" but they can do all jobs if they have to.

In the UK we just have one type of police (but lots of local forces, and of course some specialist officers) so all police can issue fines/make arrests for anything. In practice they are utterly uninterested in parking violations and it's almost impossible to get them to do anything about it in most cases, so local councils have taken over parking enforcement in 98% of jurisdictions (I think there are still 6 out of 400 that haven;t done this). I must admit that I don't know if this transfer of powers means that police _can't_ enforce parking anymore and you have to find a council enforcement officer. I doubt it, but you never know - the law can be an ass.

New Zealand, as an example, had a separate Traffic Police Force from 1968 until 1992 when it was merged with the New Zealand Police. A 'Traffic Officer' in New Zealand was a type of law enforcement officer having circumscribed powers under road traffic-related legislation, mainly the Transport Act 1962 (repealed in 2011) and its subsidiary Traffic Regulations to stop, detain and in certain cases arrest individuals.

People never learn. When there is no barrier or something, drivers will always drive onto sidewalk. The only way that works, is make driving there impossible or at least very hard and uncomfortable. Because people always chose more comfortable way.

Getting drafted is not a problem, the conscripts that were part of the exercises over a month ago were called back. It is only the professional soldiers that are taking part of what the USA would and have called in the past “operation freedom”.
My brother in law is of fighting age, has no direct dependants and had done his military service. He says there is no draft.
