That sucks, as obviously nationality has little to do with being an asshole.

      It's true that being an a-hole is universal. That said, foreigners are guests. A country is stuck with its own citizens, for better or for worse. A citizen who breaches the law can't be deported. A foreigner who breaches the law may be deported - many countries explicitly state this on the residency application and/or permit. Guests are held to a different standard because they have no right to live there. They are guests and must behave accordingly. The violation of the host country's law on their part wouldn't have happened if they remained in their own homeland. If one doesn't want to be held to a higher standard, the person may always choose to remain in one's own country.
      I write this as a person who has been a legal resident (both as a dependent child and on my own student and later work visas as an adult) of many countries in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia and am one currently.

    • @thekupus1
      @thekupus1 2 года назад +6

      @@gagamba9198 I agree with you. I often write emails to foreign embassies when I see their cars violating traffic laws in my home town. I try to explain them that, while I do understand many locals violate those same laws, they have to be held to a higher standard as guests in this town, especially as they have immunity from tickets and fines. That being said, I still feel very often you will find that commenters insult people based on their ethnicity, often insulting both them and the culture. And quite often, they are not really foreigners in Russia, just people of a different ethnicity.

    Kirill, you're doing a great job. You deserve your own television program on Russian television. A program as "pry bar" (breekijzer), as we have had in the Netherlands. TAKE CARE ALL OF YOU

    Guys I watched all StopHam, StopHam SPB and Lion versus videos. But I still don't get what's the difference between Police and Trafic Police in Russia. Because here where I live, there is normal Police for everything and special forces from Police or military. The first Policeman, the big one, was normal Police I think.

    It's unbelieveble this barber guy put his entire life in danger just for parking his fuc*ing car as close as possible to the shop... should he walked for 50 meters or so nothing would have happened!!!

    @sadb a recommendation. use more words in title that may jump better in search. add something like "civil actions", "citizens actions", " stand for your rights", "public awareness", so you get more views, exposure. You may find better words then mine, this just pop in my head. Good job.

    I wish you guys would make a separate channel of all the music you use int he videos and a playlist :). Good stuff! I especially like the theme. It's very catchy. Respect, from a Russian in Florida :).

    I think it's funny with the discount on the fine. 1000₽ if you pay in 20 days, in Stockholm that offence is over 10700₽ no matter what day you pay.

    Like every video, all they had to do, was stop driving (and parking) on the sidewalk. He could have avoided all of this. The fine(s) for driving and parking on the sidewalk, the suspension of his license for taking off his plates thinking he could get away with it, and having to go through the process of regaining his registration. He probably wouldn't have had to undergo any of that, if he just stopped being a xam, and parked where it was legal. That's all.
    If he was in russia illegally, he might have gotten kicked out of the country, *just because he refused to park where it was legal.* xD This would definitely be a lesson for life if that happened, but it would have been too late. So don't let it bee too late. Don't be xam. Park by the rules.

    I hope i'm permitted to post a link, to explain KHAMSTVO. It's not easy to translate it in English, that's why it hasn't been translated at the end of this video.

    How freaking thick can you get. Ofcourse it`s easy to get used to the russian driving, but come on. And he even does not have his papers in order. And the trying to say some shit "as a human, and a man" to Kirill. Where was his own manhood when they, I assume, politely asked him multiple times to stop breaking the law. Sad.

    I don't understand why, in Russia, there are only "traffic police" to deal with stuff like this. Why is there such a division of police force?

    Parking fines should raise in penalty each time a driver gets a ticket. Soon people will contribute their weekly salary just because of being lazy or feeling privileged. Keep the faith.
