Was a great time working on your GTI. The lower springs made the car look great. And the wheels looking amazing. Thank you for the great opportunity to be in your video.
Your a legend brother. Thanks for taking care of me and educating me on the car! Turned out sooo good! 🙌🏼
Thank you!! Just the video I needed I’ll get those!
New wheels look awesome buddy! Sick video.
The in shop editing is 🔥
Looks incredible!, also great job on the editing the video!!!👍👍👍
Wheels looks rad 👌
Looks good man 👌
Looking good Alex!
Very nice. I just picked up my brand new 2023 GTI. My first one and I get now why you guys love these cars! I've owned a lot of cars now and the mk8 is by far the best one. I'll be upgrading my stock wheels to black Pretoria's with FALKEN AZENIS FK-510's. Keep the stock 17" for winter. Hello from BC.
Nice 👍 that wheel style looks great
Love these wheels. Remind me a lot of the wheels that come with the 40th AE. I GOTTA know where that bomber jacket is from! Which AWE exhaust did you get?
Awesome vid!
Do you have a lut you sell for the s5ii?
We all thought it looked great! Thanks for the hats too!
Can we just take a minute and appreciate that walk around edit OMG that was sick!!! your camera work/editing work is on point!
Means a lot man! Cheers!!
Immediately recognized those boxes at 0:18. I've got the Podiums in Frosted Graphite on my MK7.5 with Racingline lowering Springs. Stay tuned for the new RSR (Flow Formed) stuff we have coming out soon
Thanks for the support!
Beauty! Iv seen your car cruising around the area 👀 i got a moonstone grey too
Ya?! You in south calgary? I absolutely love the color!
@@TheCarCreative queensland area.. I always take pics at that boat launch spot to ahaha
When you said fifteen52 I thought you were going for the holeshot rsr at first but those podiums look great
Awesome car and vid bud! I've had 4 GTI's including 2 MK7 Performance packs...thinking of going to Mk8 2024 this spring...that moonstone grey looks incredible!
I’ve always loved this platform and glad when it was my time to get into it that this spec was available. I absolutely love mine, in manual specifically. 😍
What springs are they I want to go with some springs for mine
I like the Fifteen52 Turbomacs myself, but those are really cool too.
car looks good. what springs exactly are these? this is exactly what i'm looking for. i just bought a 40th anniversary and i want to do some mods but nothing extreme. subtle is the goal. i want a slight drop but don't want to lose the integrity of the adaptive suspension. also a mild cat back if you have any suggestions. something with a little more growl than stock, but not sounding like the 20 year old with a fart muffler on his chevy cobalt with racing stripes.
I did the CTS lowering springs for all the reasons you just stated. It’s a 1” lowering which was the minimum I could find. The other were too low and I felt might loose some of the driving integrity. So far I’m loving these for ride comfort and looks a lot better.
I went with the AWE exhaust, for its lower tone rather then the higher raspy sounds. I did the track edition but I think they have a more refined version also which might suit you better. 👍🏼
OEM plus is a great description. This is the way. Great looking ride.
Thanks man! Appreciate you watching!
Alex, did you consider Racingline for your lowering springs? Like you I want to decrease the gap but not too slammed. Lastly, what’s the exact spec of your wheels? Love the flush look, avoiding spacers as much as I can. Thanks & keep up the good work!
I did not no. I liked the 1inch lowered look without being slammed and keeping the DCC.
My wheels are 18x8.5 +45 I believe. You can check them out on fifteen52 website. +43 offset on my winter wheels also looks great! No spacers needed.
Alex, Thanks for taking the time to respond to my inquiries. I appreciate you sharing your journey/experience with us, you will serve as a vector for me if and when my lovely wife allows me to modify my mk8, fingers crossed.
Only take my car to lake view amazing place and great people. Also should add the rims go great with that car's paint.
Sikkk! Please keep the stock rims as well. They look dope too. Would've actually loved to see them on the lowering springs.
Debating using the stock wheels for winter if I can get the right rubber for them.
Hy man, how much is the drop with lowering springs ??
If I remember correctly mine was about 1” all around? I tried to find springs that didn’t go too low honestly. The DCC still works well though, I’m super happy with the results.
They look great. As a photographer, I'm surprised you went with dark wheels.
Nonetheless I dig the look.
question...i have the mk8 gtd...purchased with 19" adelaide wheels...fast forward 9 months. got a puncture, had it repaired and the guy found a crack in the alloy, but the alloy had already been welded before and it had cracked again..(by previous owner im guessing) it also turns that they are replica wheels and not oems.. now then , i paid top money fort this car thinking i was buying the upgraded model, not the basic..i am currently in talks with the company i purchased it from as im thinking this is mis sold and not as described...(fake shitty wheels) ... it also makes my insurance void as i didnt tell them it was modified (i didnt know because as far as i was aware this is how it left the factory) any thoughts??? should they replace them for proper oems?? or if they dont should i take them to court...ps..it sounds like they want to replace them but with the 18" bakersfield alloys...i hate them and wouldnt have purchsed the car with those on it...i think they have acted frauduently
Sounds like a proper shite situation man, I’m sorry to hear it hasn’t been a positive experience. Where are you from?
I’m from Canada, I guess my first action would be to get the VIN of the vehicle checked properly to make sure the vehicle I purchased aligns with the vehicle that I was sold. Meaning if the dealership advertised it as a “performance” or upgraded model but the VIN says it’s a base model (but with fancy fake wheels?). Tough to say as a RUclipsr what you should do from a legal stand point but I do genuinely hope you enjoy the car regardless of the wheels. I personally just drive with after market wheels and haven’t used my fancy 19” VW wheels so I can’t help much in that area. Again, sorry it’s been a poor experience for you mate.
@@TheCarCreative I'm from the UK....my local VW garage have looked into it and it did leave the factory with 18" Bakersfield alloy's so can only assume who had it before me upgraded them but with replica's.....And failed to put that in there advertisment... hopefully they'll sort this for me 🤞👍
Hows the ride quality? The Nvh is freeway hows the steering feel?
Honestly I love these springs. The DCC works really well. When I want a softer ride I go to ECO mode or change the custom settings to soft springs (so I can still have sporty engine). In Sport mode it obviously stiffer but not “track” feeling by any means. And the steering wheel has two different settings for soft and stiff. I daily drive mostly with the soft and then when I’m feeling more “sprite” I’ll go stiffer but I find it a bit too stiff for daily driving (steering feel I mean). Honestly love this car so much. Incredible features for a mid/low range sports car with all the practicality.
@@TheCarCreative That’s really nice to know..im glad you enjoy it a lot because im planning to lower my mk8 gti as well so im looking for 1inch drop especially i daily drive my car. I dnt want really bumpy or really stiff in road trip. Im glad i found your channel and you gave me an idea😂
@@GTIclubdport9462 Ya I didn’t want an aggressive drop, and I daily drive and winter drive it. The DCC in these cars are awesome. Not sure if it’s in all the models of the GTI but I have the performance and it’s amazing.
@@TheCarCreative That’s awesome 👏 thank you so much for the info my friend..im looking forward for more content with your GTI 👍👍
Hi I gave a like as I have exactly the same car in the uk,my only gripe, and I’m saying this before I see your wheels, and that is I haven’t yet seen any wheels yet to beat my Adelaide wheels, so am never going to replace them just put spacers on 15 mm front 20 mm rear, but then I am twice your age and can’t face or stand all black wheels to me age related I think all black wheels spoil the look ok now to see your wheels lol good luck tc Vic from the garden of England [kent].. watched and my comment still stands, but as we say in uk”whatever floats your boat”
Love this comment haha! Thanks for the input and insight. I love the contrast, but black is hard, that’s why I like these graphite metallic, not quite all black. Glad to hear you’re liking your car too!
Ps… I’m a big Liverpool fan too mate. 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Vic, 15 mm in the front, 20 mm in the rear I presume? Also, was it flushed or a little poke? Cheers!
