Same here...Xs 256gb, still doing fine after 6 years of use. With no need or urge for tiny/incremental upgrades over all those years, still getting some €€ in returning the Xs, the 16Pro will finally be a real/worthwile/meaningful update... 👍

I have 11ProMax. I’m going to upgrade to 16 but don’t want a bigger case size. I usually keep phone in shirt pocket and some shirts the pocket is not wide enough so don’t want anything wider or it will be a pain.
I have 14 Pro Max. I’ll keep it for 5+ Years… Lightning Cable will be one of those OF, ALMOST always available, “Retro” Cables. You’ll still see lightning around in 10 years. But not in 20. Then it’ll be USBC that’s the OG always available cable.
How much worse are 3-4x photos going to look compared to my 13 Pro? I rely on that focal length so much, and I feel like 5x just isn’t very practical in most situations. I could get the 15 Pro but it would suck to wait this long only to get last year’s phone.
Still rocking my 12 pro max, its my favorite iPhone to this date. Its been having issues so I plan on getting the 16, my camera and battery are still so good so having both those things better is hard to think about. I will say I held a friends 15 pro max and the felt less premium in my hand and my phone is very durable, ive put it through a lot *pause*. I'm excited to check out the 16 pro max.

I’ll finally be able to upgrade my 8Plus. I’ve been using it for over 7 years. Changed the battery and screen twice. It still works perfectly well but I’ll definitely upgrade to 16plus or 16proMax. Can’t wait for the release date!

If the iphone 16 still has a 60hz display it is worthless trash. How come there are $100 phones out there that support 120, but the iphone, the most expensive phone in the world, somehow won't be upgraded to support a higher refresh rate. It's totally unacceptable and people should start critizing Apple more publicly for it so that they are forced to make changes

Apple is the leading phone company and one of the largest companies worlwide in general. When Apple behaves spinelessly like this and their fans DEFEND their behavior and keep buying their products, other companies will take notice which leads to a less consumer friendly market that is all about exploiting. Apple shows that with the right marketing and social pressure, you can get away with pushing outdated and overpriced products onto the people. I am not saying that Apple is the sole contributor (obviously) but they are one of the leading ones.
14 Pro Max here and I may just see what kind of deal I can get on a 15 PM once the 16 PM comes out. Unless there is something they add that no one knows about yet, the 16 series doesn’t entice me much.

These “huge changes” are not personally enough to make me want to upgrade from my 13 Pro Max, which at 90% battery health is doing very well thankfully. But maybe if there is some new feature that Apple may surprise us with I might change my mind.
If the leaks are true I agree it’s probably not upgrading if you have anything newer than the iPhone 12 unless you really want the new ai stuff. I’m probably gona be waiting till the iPhone 20 to upgrade from my iPhone 13 . Also I have a question when did you get your phone like did you just get it or do you just rarely use it because how is it at 90% battery health I’ve had my 13 since I pre ordered it and my battery health is at 75% how is yours so high ?

I’m going to hang on to my on iPhone 11 until Apple stops security updates. However everybody in my house has to get the new iPhone. Phones are in general bad for the environment so keeping what you have for as long as possible is smart. Same goes for pretty much anything really.
I still rock my iPhone 12 Pro but the battery is at 77% and it keeps sending me emergency messages to get it serviced so I might invest in the normal 16 as I hate spending all that money on a phone that goes out of date within a year. 🐬

Those huge 5.5" phones had huge bezels and physical buttons. The phone sizes are actually about the same. Better screen to body ratio

as far as I know regular 16 will get a18 non pro, it is a different architecture than a17pro.

I currently have a 14 Pro Max and I will be definitely upgrading mainly because of Apple intelligence when it eventually comes here in the UK.

Apple Intelligence is more than enough for me to upgrade from iPhone 14 Pro Max. Been using it on my iPad Pro. Wow.
