I like the B&W best! For me the color has a lot of potential with softer/subtler color like the video. Love the videos, and enjoy the hiking parts! Thanks!
James, thank you for the feedback! Part of the problem in this video is that I left my ISO fixed rather than on Auto, so it basically way overexposed the footage. I tried to recover as much as I could, but my video editing isn't exactly outstanding. Still, that's great feedback I will try a rendition of the edit with less contrast and a pull back on the color and see if that makes me like it more. I am also having an issue with the color space matching between my images and the video. I'm noticing the images I show in the video look darker and have more contrast than they do in photoshop. I'd say they're almost a half stop darker. If I were doing a better job keeping my website up to date, I would send you a link to it so you could see what the images are supposed to look like and see what I mean haha. Thanks for watching and commenting, appreciated as always!
I always enjoy your videos and this is certainly no exception. Fantastic scenery! Great images. Of the first one, I think I prefer the second exposure but on the second one I'm going with the color version.
Another great video, man! In your last image, I prefer the color version. I'm not a B&W guy, so it's always the color version for me! Amazing color and clouds in the sky.
Great images. That second composition is just fantastic! Tough call between the b&w and color versions though. If I had to pick one as a print for the wall I’d likely lean towards the color version. Both are great though. Also, love the hiking in the videos. I think it helps the viewer get a good feel for the broader location as well as the work behind the shots as you say. Thanks!
I'll take the mid-ground and say I like both the color and B&W renditions of the last image. I like footage of your hiking as well as the walk through on the images. Lazy bastard? I hardly think so, as we have seen you "earn your keep" on more than one occasion by battling a "raging mother nature" to get the shot.
Haha that’s fair. As we speak I’m developing film from my last hike at Rocky Mountain national park which absolutely whooped me. I go back and forth between which version I like so the mid ground is a safe strategy. Thanks as always for watching and commenting, David!
Two thumbs up on the B&W image. Loved scenery while your hiking.
Thank you! I will try and incorporate more hiking going forward.

Great content as always ... Really like the tree in your foreground at 13:12. Your right about the black and white.
Thank you, Michel. Something tells me you and I will be the minority in that opinion haha.

I appreciate it, Terry! It was an amazing place. I hope I get back out there some day. I really lucked out with the conditions on a lot of the trip.

Thank you! The color version has grown on me. I need to make a print of both to decide which I like best.
Fantastic video 👍🙂
Thank you!

Well, the video from that last rocky hike won’t have any hiking footage… I was just trying to survive!
man - really enjoying this trip series! those pit stops though... oh man. what a place and view. that image at 13:08 is awesome
I could have lived out there! Great landscapes, amazing food, what else do you need?
As always great video -B&W works best
Thank you, Eugene. I agree!
Super jealous you got to go there! I would love to make it someday. At 13:12, I'd go with the color image, but they are both awesome!
It was such an amazing place.
You definitely should go. And I HIGHLY recommend the hut to hut hiking. If I could live in those huts I would.
Black & White works for me. But, I only shoot B&W, so I'm slightly biased 🙂
Biased doesn’t mean wrong!
