I'm still on a GTX 1080, which I bought for 550$. Prices were suppose to go down after the tanking of the crypto markets, but Nvidia just kept the prices high. Even if you don't buy the cards, the AI boom market is sucking them up, and they are taking advantage of that. Sad to say, but gamers have not been on Nvidias mind for the last 5 years. These are not gaming cards anymore, these are AI cards.
Trouble is, everyone and their grandmother compensate for the inflation PLUS extra profit EXCEPT the final user. And both NVIDIA and their board partners are greedy. Not to mention the distributor importer and the retail sellers. And then the government also adds their VAT. Finally, you can have that crap that you pay from your salary that has also been reduced by the income tax and the many years of the company's unwillingness to properly compensate for the inflation. What a joke.
No worries I'll continue to buy good old cheap games and continue using my GTX 1080Ti I don't care about ray tracing blinding lights or upscaling newer games to shiny cotton armour and shiny blinding gun sight reflections on guns scope glass.
Yeah, but developers become lazy and stop cleaning code in games, so if you wanna play in 1440p with 60 fps in game from 2024 (Like Remnant 2) you need 4080. Also Dlss work only from 3xxx up.
@@mrp8171 I agree with You that game developers are increasingly ignoring game optimization, and additionally, they're using ray-tracing to save time. At the same time, let's not kid ourselves, 2024 was a weak year in terms of game quality and unfortunately, the future doesn't look much better. Regarding the RTX 4080, I'm using the RTX 4070 Ti ( I bought a used card with a warranty at a very good price, so I got a bit lucky ) and with DLSS performance, I can comfortably play even the most demanding titles on a TV in 4K without worrying about overpaying for the next GPU upgrade. The amount of VRAM is starting to become an issue, unfortunately, but I'm not in a situation where an upgrade is a must-have. In addition, most titles look just as good on high settings, so ultra doesn't make sense.
It isn’t even about affording, it is just that I cannot justify the pricing, like I can buy 5080 without feeling it, but I just think it isn‘t worth it. I kinda switched to staying 1 generation behind and my next upgrade will be used 4080s. I currently have 3080ti evga ftw3that I paid 450e and it performs like 4070s which at that time cost like 900e for a decent model, if we compared 1:1, rog strix was like 1k which enters 4080 entry model pricing.
Yeah, for gamers, that can easier. But for people with work related stuff, this is very bad news! GPUs aren't only used for gaming, especially the Ngreedia ones.
You are on some serious shit brother if you believe the 5080 is gonna cost 1700+ dollar.. Absolutely insane speculations. IT WILL NOT COST 1700$.. You can shame pin me if it would indeed cost 1700. We will see in 5 days.
you have to keep in mind that the 1700 is including taxes and its also an AIB card, the real msrp of the card according to these prices will be $1499 at most.
F Ngreedia! I'm getting B580 when my 1070 FE dies.
Same.
Broke boys 😂
@@againstall4agsandtrans511 No worries. I can still afford a console. 😉
Buy AMD or Intel GPU. I haven't bought ngreedy since 2017.

Less than a week ago, I switched to AMD (6700XT) from 1060 (3GB).. totally worth it.

With that price, Nvidia should raise it more.
Nvidia already gave us a free tool for FPS upgrades - it's called DLSS so you don't have to buy every gen.

Just get amd or intel gpus

@EggKnight yeah but the sad thing people who want to get a gpu exclusively for gaming get an nvidia gpu instead.
Well i have been saving money for 6 years for that so i'll be able to handle it but godaman the hell are those prices xD
